  • Convergence 002 by EMERGE
BeatTracker #4 Feat. Banner in Progressive House

Always at the vanguard of modern dance music, "Convergence" finds Mango Alley moving toward a new singularity. Melding diverse ribbons of music into a collective woven strand, a new project brings together a collection of the finest underground house, curated by the scene's most important tastemakers, channels and influential voices. Where the confluence of music and mind emerge, a powerful new force flows from within to create a vortex of sonic patterns that reach the very core of progressive music's ineffable quality. Convergence 002 by EMERGE — A Compilation Built on Trust, Passion & Collaboration From the night sky a new dawn rises over the horizon. Emerging bright and clear, a golden thread weaves across the preeminent industrial heartland of Glasgow. A tapestry of cutting-edge electronic music transforms the cityscape with a global community of underground giants. This is more than just a music release. It's a gathering of artists who share a thread that leads back to Glasgow and to Graham, whose friendships, late‑night conversations, dancefloor memories and decades of club culture stewardship have quietly woven this community together. Every artist involved — whether a global icon or a rising star — has a story that intersects with this city and its people. EMERGE is a tribute to the legendary names that have graced a cosmopolitan skyline. From the clouds below a Clyde sunset, the moon lights the way across a diluted ink black sky where charting a path from Scotland to Europe and South America to Australia, finds a trinity of Steven McCreery, Kit Lawson and Gowzer at the heart of a bright and vivid constellation that can be seen the world over. Projecting outwards, a galaxy of leading lights in the underground firmament radiate sonic waves as Hernán Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Anthony Pappa, Dave Seaman & Danny Howells sit alongside a new breed of iridescent stars that has seen GMJ & Matter, Dmitry Molosh, Just Her and HAFT spark new connections and friendships.

  • Hocu Pocu
BeatTracker #11 Top Releases in Progressive House

    Hocu Pocu

    Jamie Stevens , Kasey Taylor

    Beatport Top Releases

Two of Australia's best producers, Kasey Taylor and Jamie Stevens, come together for two outstanding originals.\n\nEqually known for being frequent collaborators and firebrand solo artists, Kasey Taylor and Jamie Stevens are two of the founders of the Australian progressive scene. Signed to a bewildering array of seminal brands including Balance Music, Global Underground and many more, they continue to break new soil, championing new artists with creative, fresh sounds.\n\nAfter the success of 'Locked in the Air' on Kasey's pioneering label, Vapour, the pair return with two more exciting cuts. First up, 'Hocu Pocu' jumps from the speakers with vibrant percussions and a fizzy bass. Building steam with epic sonics and joyous energy, the main break is a masterclass in tension and release. An uplifting, vibey groover for those mid set moments that need a little boost.\n\nOn the flipside, 'L'Alba' takes off from a deeper point. Spiky bass bubbles against sparse percussion as melodics breathe new energy into the groove. Pads and arps complete the picture midway, where the main break drops into epic hands-in-the-air joy. Another masterclass session from two of the very best in the game.

  • Tassolem (The Mixes)
BeatTracker #15 Feat. Hype in Electronica

    Tassolem (The Mixes)

    Jamie Stevens , Guy J

    Beatport Hype

This EP marks the coming together of two of the most respected, influential titans in progressive House; Jamie Stevens and Guy J. Jamie is smoking hot off the back of a highly acclaimed, praised and loved debut album, select apppeareacnes live with names like Hernan Cattaneo, Guy J & Anthony pappa and a no.1 Ep on Bedrock. Guy J just delivered arguably one of the greatest Global Underground mixes yet as well as some of last years most talked about singles with several hitting Beatports top spots coupled with incredible shows reaching massive audiences and stages around the globe. The original mixes experiment with dark and light forces jostling with a beautiful yearning vocal. A musical piece that shows patience and restraint with trippy time signatures, bleeps, atmosphere, distinct breaks and dreamy vocals drawing you deeper and washing over you like a reassuring whisper from a loved one. Jamie has long operated in the space between club functionality and emotional depth, and here he leans heavy into that tension, never fully resolving, always pulling the listener forward. Tassolem’ gets a club-ready super highly anticipated remix by Guy J who delivers a masterpiece completely re-envisioning one of his favourite producers, very intentionally selecting a track with clear hallmarks of musical integrity and special ingredients. Guy takes a number of magical core elements from the original and layers subtle beautiful, shifting textures over deep melodics building steady momentum that is felt subtly as its story unravels rather than heard quickly. Melodic fragments shimmer beneath the surface, hinting at deep felt emotions without spelling it out until it washes over you in swathes and your arms uncontrollably raise up in appreciation; an understated anthem if you will. The groove remains hypnotic and unforced, progressive music in the truest sense: not about drops or drama, but about a real authentic journey. There’s a saying to always observe and enjoy the journey, not the pay-off which feels apt and a rule we should all pay more attention towards in life and sums up this release better than we can - enjoy!
