2.1 Account Information. When you register for an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. If you sign in via Google or Twitter, we receive your name and email from those services.

2.2 Payment Information. When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment is processed by Stripe, our third-party payment processor. We do not store your credit card number, CVC, or other sensitive payment details on our servers. Stripe processes and stores this information in accordance with PCI-DSS Level 1 standards. We receive from Stripe: your card's last four digits, expiration date, card brand, billing address (if provided), and transaction history.

2.3 Usage Data. We automatically collect information about how you interact with the service, including pages visited, features used, search queries, IP address, browser type, device information, and timestamps.

2.4 Notification Preferences. When you configure chart notifications, we store the artists, labels, and URLs you choose to track.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

4. Third-Party Service Providers

  • Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe processes your payment data under their own privacy policy.
  • Google Analytics / Google Tag Manager — Website analytics. Used to understand how visitors interact with our site.
  • Email service provider — Transactional and notification emails. Your email address and name are shared to deliver emails.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

5. Data Retention

5.1 Active Accounts. We retain your account information and notification preferences for as long as your account is active.

5.2 Cancelled Subscriptions. After subscription cancellation, we retain your account data and notification settings for 12 months to facilitate easy resubscription. After 12 months of inactivity, notification preferences may be deleted.

5.3 Deleted Accounts. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days. Certain data may be retained longer where required by law (e.g., billing records for tax purposes, which are retained for 7 years).

5.4 Payment Records. Transaction history and billing records are retained for 7 years for accounting, tax, and legal compliance purposes.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Payment data is handled exclusively by Stripe and never touches our servers. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
