After an amazing run with his latest EP on Hessle Audio Make It Better/ Restless Sleep Josi Devil is back with a 3 tracker on TSVI & Wallworks Nervous Horizon. Combining club functionality and cinematic sound design this EP leaves no stone unturned. No More has already conquered most dance floors around the UK and the world being played by the biggest names in the scene like Ben UFO, Joy O, Special Requests etc. Duinpan is a pounding garage banger with mind bending sound design. M.e.S the final track is a collaboration with label boss TSVI, and it definitely is the cherry on the cake incorporating both the signature Nervous Horizon sound and Josi Devils cold & slick production.

Kicking off Intrepid Skins digital-only release series, two of Melbournes best kept secrets link up for a double drop of essential hard groove. Also stoking the fire is a remix by Brazilian party-starter Slim Soledad. Known for the unrestrained energy they bring to dancefloors at home and abroad - WATTO and Luke Hoveys ability to read a crowd comes into its own on their first release together. Rolling percussive interplays and subtly hypnotic loops drive over charged up basslines that rattle the room, all while maintaining a relentless flow throughout the EP.
Fliss Mayo & Zebb Dempster are Dual Monitor, a London based duo. Their envelope pushing productions have earned them the moniker The UK Genre Alchemists from Rinse FM. Their open format approach to music also translates into their kaleidoscopic DJ sets which thread low slung bass, psychedelic techno, floor shaking sound-system cuts and zoned out dub and jungle. Their first EP on Nerve Collect represents everything they stand for from low end dubstep to funky tech and rattling riddims.
sitting in the terminal at Barcelona airport, health safety warnings echo through empty architecture. feeling slow, and fast, out of sync with rituals and routines. structure and rhythm disintegrate into micro gestures appearing in random order, a daily psychedelia... amid all of the chaos and distraction in the last few years, its only through letting go that Ive found solid ground to stand on. These are some of the experiences and reflections that gave shape to Slipstream, a hallucinatory mini-album by the artist PVAS and the fourth release on Objekts label, Kapsela. Slipstream is an aural document of PVASs interior life, conceived not as a grab-bag of DJ-friendly tracks (although its clearly inspired by the club) but as a single, delicately crafted artistic statement. The entire record is shrouded in a flickering haze, worn through by smudged breakbeats and wiry drum machines. Wetland, with its swampy percussion and crystalline arps, echoes T++ and Kraftwerk. The radiant incandescence of Gathering Drift recalls GAS or Monolakes Hong Kong. Sampled breakbeats dip and swerve asymmetrically through Boba and Terminal. Across the record, textures and voices are reshaped by PVASs homemade algo-software, UMT, which, in PVAS own words, reconstructs one audio file by sampling another, resulting in output that merges their aesthetic qualities, creating rhythm with non-rhythmic sound files and abusing the stereo field. But the most striking union of technology and poetic self-exploration comes at the end of the record, in the title track, from words murmured through a classic vocoder: when i stop framing myself as a boundaried stone immovable, and powerful, and heavy when i stop figuring my deepest space as my own something which i am solely responsible i surrender, i surrender PVAS is Jordan Juras, a Berlin-based artist who grew up outside of Windsor, Ontario. He has released solo EPs on Isla and xpq?, and is half the duo NUG (3XL, West Mineral Ltd.). In addition to developing music software professionally, he has used his UMT software on records by Lyra Pramuk and Dylan Kerr. Slipstream was recorded from 2022 to 2025.
Olof Dreijer (ex-The Knife) returns to Dekmantel with Iris, a new 4-track EP out October 25, just in time for his North America tour. Featuring remixes by Nidia and Verraco, Iris follows his 2024 collab with Diva Cruz, remixes for Bjork ft. Rosalia and Royksopp, plus acclaimed solo EPs on Hessle Audio and AD 93. Think breakdance-era energy, sound-humour, and body-synth mischief. Iris plays like a garden of sonic creaturessynths mimicking bodily sounds, chopped-up vocal textures, and 90s-style chord stabs inspired by Olofs high school b-boy phase. Its playful, raw, and weird in the best way. With over two decades of shapeshifting behind machines and decks, Dreijers been a force in electronic musicfrom festival headliners across Europe to pushing the boundaries with his Oni Ayhun alias. He also co-founded Stockholms Bamba Club, a hub for progressive, percussive sounds. Further recent highlights include co-producing tracks on Fever Rays latest album, producing Houeida Hedfis debut LP, contributing to projects by Planningtorock and Zhala, remixing Nine Inch Nails, Royksopp & Robyn, and Emmanuel Jal.
Identified Patient returns to Dekmantel for a third time with his Reset EP. The future-facing four tracker is another mutant fusion of bass and techno with low-end power with cerebral sound designs. Job Veerman debuted on the Dekmantel UFO Series in 2019, returned in 2020 and has lit up the festival several times with transportative sets that balance power with precision. Like his productions on the Nerve Collect label, he co-runs with Gamma Intel, they are leftfield explorations of genre and tempo that find strange sensuality in often abstract ideas. Once again here, the Dutchman draws on eclectic influences to craft music that sounds like no one else but remains anchored by magnetic rhythms. Opener Light kicks off with a fuzzy synth line that slithers between syncopated drums. Whispered vocals drift through the mix as lurching basslines swell and collapse beneath them. The groove disassembles and reassembles in waves, propelled forward by bursts of glitchy, off-kilter percussion thats unsteady yet seductive. Scales is a slow, menacing descent into rhythmic darkness. It sounds both ancient and futuristic with ghoulish vocalisations and filtered synths flickering like a badly wired circuit. Theres a rave tension lurking throughout, but always in the shadows. Internal Pace drives on but rides fluid, wobbly bass while tightly looped hits build the pressure. Layers of static and subtle distortion add grit to this unrelenting heads-down roller. Finally, Return is a kinetic, razor-edged ride where jungle breaks collide serpentine melodies. Ethereal female coos drift in and out, brushing against spat-out vocal fragments so that tension crackles throughout this hallucinogenic trip. With Reset, Identified Patient reaffirms his status as a singular voice who twists sound into evocative new worlds.
Infinite Content Loop was written by Plastician with the intention of it serving as a monotonous and menacing backdrop to the feeling of dread that overcomes you every day knowing you need to get on social media and post some engaging content. The idea was not to create something particularly uplifting, but a constant tone of dread and pressure brought about by the never ending bass loop and dark atmospherics, backed by a building percussive section that brings the needed progression in a more subtle way. In true Plastician style, its designed to sit between many of the genres he spins in his own sets. Influences are pulled from UK Garage, Dubstep, Techno, Breaks and more, in order to create a DJ tool that serves as the glue between them. With a remix from UK music hero Zed Bias, this is a versatile release that we hope resonates with you. Distributed by Label Engine - www.label-engine.com

Once, Ilya Gadaev, RLGN, and ANY ACT gathered in a bear den to watch Starship Troopers and try to create some dubstep under a straight kick. In the end, they ended up with a new order of bass house/bass techno. There are nods to uk funky here, bass there, midtempo and jungle terror somewhere else, and clearly mutant techno in certain parts. Its functional stuff. Similar things are being done, but not as often. Conformist resources would simply call it techno now. Its modern stuff about the here and now. Its already been tested on the dance floors.
The second release on Objekts newly established Kapsela imprint arrives in the form of Chicken Garaage, a solo 2-track EP by Objekt that explores the fertile terrain around 00s breakbeat and garage. The A-side, Chicken Garaage, is a playful and poignant nod to the pioneering proto-dubstep explorations of the early 2000s, as the genre was first beginning to crystallise, by the likes of Horsepower Productions, DJ Abstract and Benny Ill. First sketched out on tour in Melbourne while eating takeaway chicken karaage, its the first outcome of an experiment with a new workflow to produce music with an accelerated approach and more immediacy and expressivity; encouragingly, it has the lowest final version number (55) of any Objekt track in recent memory. B-side Worm Dance leans into Hertzs headsier inclinations constructed mostly from field recordings made at a lake house outside of Berlin in 2022, it channels mid-00s T++ into a moody, elastic breakbeat roller.

Anyone with a passing interest in footwork and juke will know of Traxman. Corky Strong has a long history of deep involvement in Chicago house, first releasing on the legendary Dance Mania label in the mid nineties, and since then splitting his productions between ghetto house, juke and footwork, releasing alongside Steve Poindexter and Fast Eddie and the late DJ Deeon and DJ Rashad, including an seemingly endless supply of self-released juke edits of whatever direction his deep knowledge of Black American music takes him. The third volume of Da Mind Of Traxman is his first since 2014. In the intervening years hes kept things rolling, DJing regularly, releasing lots of music, becoming a grandfather and being a mentor for younger artists coming up in the scene. This new album was crafted with the help of fellow Planet Mu artist Sinjin Hawke, who took on A&R duties to collate the best from hundreds of tracks dating back to 2005. Sinjin holds Traxmans status in high regard; This album series is important and holds real documentarian value—working on it feels like the modern equivalent of curating a piece of Miles Daviss catalog in the 60s and 70s. Volume 3 showcases Traxmans uncanny ability to take old music into the future without losing the feeling and energy of his samples and influences. He knows how to add a hi-definition modern chassis with the skill of someone who deeply and intuitively understands the craft of dance music. These are some of the purest, most innovative ideations of Chicago footwork.
A Bold New Direction from Kyotos Finest. Kyoto-based dance music label NC4Ks boss, Stones Taro, delivers a daring new EP in the third installment of the NC4KWAX series. Known for his dance-floor-focused beats and impeccable sound quality, Stones Taro pushes the boundaries of his sound on this release. The up-and-down bassline provides a solid foundation, ensuring that your speakers get a workout. Busy Lips follows suit, with its chaotic mix of vocal samples and percussion creating a sense of euphoria. The clap on the third beat adds a challenging yet rewarding twist to the track. The third track is pure Stones Taro, featuring a ravey breakbeat sound with trance-like elements that elevate the track to new heights. Finally, Roman producer Christopher Ledger delivers a stunning remix of the fourth track, transforming it into a tech-house masterpiece with intricate arrangements and a deep, bass-driven groove.
The year isnt over yet! Chimpo still has beats and vibes for you. this time were treated to two 130 garage x broken beat gems, both tracks have been doing the do across festival season and are much requested so it is a pleasure to get them out into the world!
Sam Binga and Rider Shafique return to Critical in their usual atypical style, smudging the lines between dancehall, hip-hop and US club music with three vocal-driven sonic killers. ‘Bamboo’ is pure dancehall, with a stabbing bashment rhythm ridden by a slack set of lyrics from Rider that would do Vybz Kartel proud. Title track ‘Get Down Low’ calls on Cardiff rapper Magugu to elevate a moody lesson in club-ready 808s. Finally, ‘Vendetta’ takes things fully West Coast, with Teklife producer Taso linking Binga on the beats and San Francisco’s MicahTron joining Rider on the mic.

Heavee is a Queer Chicagoan DJ & producer with a long history in footwork. His 2022 Audio Assault EP on Hyperdub showcased synth-driven, melodic footwork, but Unleash goes much further into audio worldbuilding, with a fresh, spongy and citrus-y sound palette and rich, bright chord sequences. Its minimal, airy, balancing light and dark, sometimes breezy and sometimes clinical. Heavee works simultaneously outside and inside the box, rebuilding footworks framework and vibe to his own unique specification. Rhythmically, its dance floor ready, using footworks 160 template as a springboard for building new drum sounds to express these rhythms, and draws from R&B, rap, jazz and grime, with a sprinkling of bitter-sweet vintage Detroit techno. Unleash takes footworks eats all approach to music and leads it in a fresh direction with a freedom of spirit. Its a strong addition to the footwork cannon and shows that experiments in dance music can be fun.

'Intimate Empty Club Room' delivers rich layered soundscapes full of experimental harmonics and an unwillingness to be tied down to any specific club genre. The names themselves reflect the aesthetic of the rooms that the tracks were designed for.
"Good things come to those who wait", says Matt Harris aka Hyroglifics about the theme of his debut album, 'I'll Wait, I Guess', a personal journey to hope and healing reflected through 16 tracks of ever-evolving music and the stories that lie within them. "I believe that good things happen with time, however, I also wanted this album to depict the realities of waiting for something and how seemingly hopeless it may seem at times". Written and recorded in Bristol before sessions in London and Los Angeles, where he now lives, 'I'll Wait, I Guess' is his most diverse body of work so far. Though led by the detailed drum and bass he's best known for, the album also includes tracks leaning towards grime, half-time, hip hop, techno and ambient music. "I really wanted to create something that shows my range as a producer and artist", Hyroglifics explains. "My taste is always evolving, so it's hard to pin down a specific 'sound,' as I really enjoy exploring the process of trying to create hybrids of genres."
