"It felt like it had been such a long time since I'd released anything that felt aligned with that sound I was exploring back in the early days of the Kahn project, and whilst I naturally wanted to bring something contemporary to the table with this record it was nice to allow myself to fall back into that older version of my musical identity. Atonement was one of those rare tracks where inspiration struck naturally. \n\nAfter a long day of corporate nonsense, I sat down in the evening to watch a certain series with my wife when the scene sampled in the intro came on. \n\nI wasn't planning to make music that night, but the mood and tension of that scene really resonated with me. \n\nI knew I had to sample it and exactly what kind of vibe the track needed. \n\n\n\nI went straight to the studio, and by the early hours, the bare bones of the track were done. \n\nOver the following weeks, I worked on developing it, but ultimately, I stripped it back to how it sounded in that first session: simple, powerful drums paired with a filthy, hypnotic bass groove. \n\n\n\nSometimes, less is more.\n\n\n\nA Atonement\n\nB Ogun

A Geddeon\nAA Face melt\nTunnidge makes his debut for the home of heavyweight orthodox dubs, Deep Medi. 'Geddeon' is a static stepper that could have been produced anytime in the last 3 years, sticking as it does to the template laid down by Loefah on 'Horror show', all cavernous reverbed slowsteppers labouring under an all encompassing darkness. 'Face melt' on t'other side doesn't let up, with another unremitting sludge stepper, pressured under the weight of a mammoth sub attack and clocking you round the lungs with some industrial strength snares...(words c/o/ Boomkat). "I'm very excited to work with deep medi again. I was buzzing to be releasing topper top with them on their 10th anniversary and it's even better to be back for their 20th". Sir Spyro Kicking off our 20th anniversary year, and arriving 10 years after his iconic release 'Topper Top', grime, dubstep and UK bass pioneer Sir Spyro returns to DEEP MEDi with his new dancefloor rattling EP, 2ND SQ. The EP opens with the unrelenting '2ND SQ', the track's stuttering hi-hats and all consuming bass cut through by an icy, industrial-sized snare. The desolate 'Be Afraid' creates a sense of vastness via its minimal production, resulting in an eerie and energised track designed for dark warehouse raves.'Diagonal' continues in the same dark vein, the track's brooding, looping production sure to send listeners into a mystified trance. Closing the EP is 'Patch Bae', a glitchy joyride that calls to mind the16-bit era of gaming, leading listeners on an exhilarating, kaleidoscopic journey. 2ND SQ A1: 2ND SQ A2: Be Afraid B1: Diagonal B2: Patch Bae 13th Feb 2026 (MEDi145)
