The Pieces EP showcases Wrazs versatility across five tracks that blend dubstep with orchestral influences, techno rhythms, and psychedelic sound design. Pieces opens with a cinematic, classical-inspired intro that gradually builds into a dark and evolving bass-heavy journey. Tech follows with a fusion of 4x4 techno and dubstep grooves—minimal yet impactful on a sound system. Lurch brings relentless analog bass pressure and Wrazs signature raw energy, already proven to do serious damage in live sets. The Crypt rounds out the EP with a more introspective feel, featuring shifting synths and hypnotic arpeggios that create a deep, trippy atmosphere. This release marks a major milestone for the Canadian producer, celebrating his debut on DEEP MEDi. (Wraz 2025)
Atonement was one of those rare tracks where inspiration struck naturally. After a long day of corporate nonsense, I sat down in the evening to watch a certain series with my wife when the scene sampled in the intro came on. I wasnt planning to make music that night, but the mood and tension of that scene really resonated with me. I knew I had to sample it and exactly what kind of vibe the track needed. I went straight to the studio, and by the early hours, the bare bones of the track were done. Over the following weeks, I worked on developing it, but ultimately, I stripped it back to how it sounded in that first session: simple, powerful drums paired with a filthy, hypnotic bass groove. Sometimes, less is more. A Atonement B Ogun
"I'm very excited to work with deep medi again. I was buzzing to be releasing topper top with them on their 10th anniversary and it's even better to be back for their 20th". Sir Spyro Kicking off our 20th anniversary year, and arriving 10 years after his iconic release 'Topper Top', grime, dubstep and UK bass pioneer Sir Spyro returns to DEEP MEDi with his new dancefloor rattling EP, 2ND SQ. The EP opens with the unrelenting '2ND SQ', the track's stuttering hi-hats and all consuming bass cut through by an icy, industrial-sized snare. The desolate 'Be Afraid' creates a sense of vastness via its minimal production, resulting in an eerie and energised track designed for dark warehouse raves.'Diagonal' continues in the same dark vein, the track's brooding, looping production sure to send listeners into a mystified trance. Closing the EP is 'Patch Bae', a glitchy joyride that calls to mind the16-bit era of gaming, leading listeners on an exhilarating, kaleidoscopic journey. 2ND SQ A1: 2ND SQ A2: Be Afraid B1: Diagonal B2: Patch Bae 13th Feb 2026 (MEDi145)
Two of dubstep's most iconic names - Japanese don, Goth-Trad, and Mala's ever present DEEP MEDi label - join forces once again. Revamping his 2012 release 'Airbreaker', Goth-Trad takes a track which already teetered on the edge of an Assault and Battery charge and ups the ante with a whirlwind of acid and industrial roughness. Where the A-side is pure mechanical nightmare, the flip 'Apes' stands in juxtaposition - its organic, humid palette conjuring up visions of dense tropical forests and the mysteries that lie within. "New Epoch" is by far and away Goth-Trad's most complete piece of work to date, showcasing what he is has learnt in his years of producing, touring, playing live and remixing. The album features eleven superbly and delicately crafted tracks. From the opener "Man In the Maze" full of beautifully dark, emotional strings and pulsating, mesmerizing groove to the intense synthesizer stabs and pure dance-floor mayhem of the "Mirage" - one of the strongest tracks that has been firing in heavy rotations from Mala and Kode9 - to the title track New Epoch which defines a producer digging through different styles, experiences and cultures to find himself now one of the most unique artists within the scene and beyond.
