We're not gonna to stop, check out this release now! Inkognitiv is not just a producer from St. Petersburg, but a person who has always been behind the scenes of Citate Forms from the very beginning. Having successfully released tracks on DLT9, he immediately appears on Citate Forms with a large EP entitled "Dredge". Four tracks will be available in November, two of which were co-written with St.Petersburg based artist - Andy Pain.
Alix Perez presents his 2nd 2-track release of the year in the form of the dark and CRL - a deep, dark, and moody stepper that has been heavily featured in his sets for the past 12 months. Completing the package and another track that has featured in the label head honchos set is his rework of 'Lunar Eclipse' by Visages and Strategy. This remix has been a highly sought-after dub since the original release and now makes it out into the world.
Before the gates of hell's fourth layer stands a massive desk of black ironwood, intricately inlaid with avaricious motifs and adorned with a sophisticated seal that once marked the completion of a long-forgotten contract between the great and powerful devils that rule this realm. Atop this desk sits a singular tome, bound in the leathered flesh of contract breakers aplenty. Indeed, between the boundless pages of this terrible tome are listed the names of all those whose actions have or shall destin them to arrive here, recorded forever in an evergrowing CHRONICLE of mortal greed. Behind this desk sits always the skeletal visage of one of the realm's septuple gatekeepers, here bedecked in a three-piece suit that would be well fitting were it not for the being's lack of soft tissue. Before him come the damned, oft sure that their swindling ways might grant them one final respite from condemnation to flame. Commonly, they plead their case before the gatekeeper, and in response, it is assured that from within the depths of his great ironwood desk he shall pull forth the precedents of divine law that will shackle them to their doom. As the poor souls at the gate are ferried away to their torments upon the wings of lesser devils, the gatekeeper reclines in his chair with contentment. Reaching once more within his desk, he withdraws a much smaller tome, detailing the victories of his latest case closed. Each and every one of its entries begins with the very same line - "Dear diary, today was a damn good day." AGRESSOR BUNX return to EATBRAIN with their CHRONICLE EP, the latest release from one of the label's most dynamic duos. Within, the inimitable pair of producers unleash four tracks imbued with a sonic fury set to send the EATBRAIN horde into a hellish frenzy as they dance to enrapturing rhythms within.

DLR drops his first album since starting Sofa Sound Bristol - 'Money Till I Got None'. The album is a tongue in cheek reflection on modern life, society, politics and of course MONEY. The never ending thirst and need for it; the stress and freedom it can bring; its power, its illusion and all its contradictions. Drawing on life experiences from a relatively privileged position, but also from travelling and meeting many types of people across the UK and worldwide, the album explores different perspectives about money from varying sections of society. In the 7 years since his last album, DLR has been through highs and lows, played big shows, struggled, released classic tracks and spent, spent, spent, spent. 'Money Till I Got None' is his journey of frustration and realisation and his first fully solo album in terms of production, but with a stellar lineup of vocalists and musicians to bringing invaluable perspectives and experiences to the project. Established poets, story tellers and MCs such as Fox, Rider Shafique, Jakes and Gusto bring unique insight, upcomers Freddy B & Kathryn Brenna add crucial flavours and we welcome Hal (Snazzback) on keys plus additional musical direction, with further instrumentation from Abbey Neave & Joe Bradford.

For millennia, learned individuals the world over have sought to unravel the secrets of alchemy, that famed occult science that allows for the transmutation of elements from one type to another. In the beginning, its secrets were sought by scholars who ingested mercury to prolong the lives of their physical bodies even as its poison vapors drove them to madness. Then came those who sought to transform mundane lead into brilliant, shimmering gold, and they too were poisoned by the former metal's insidious and lurking aftereffects. In the more recent past, there have been those who have succeeded in the alchemical pursuit to a certain degree, splitting certain heavy elements into their more basal forms through the power of fission, and yet even in their successes these individuals too were poisoned for their hubris, the effects evermore immediate and horrific than those faced by their predecessors. Indeed, despite these scientists' efforts at alphabetical categorization of the known elements, the truth of the gods remains sealed away in the depths of space, guarded by beings unknowable and all-powerful. True transmutation is the property of one singular element carefully withheld from the grasp of mortal beings. Its genesis in the womb of the divine mother gives it this singular quality, and this property has been wielded by the gods since time immemorial to shape, craft, and hone the vast expanses of the universe. Its silvery hue is echoed in the rays of a million distant stars, the children of the divine mother who have in turn given birth to all further life. What mortals have sought for so long has been forever known as ARGENTUM, and its ineffable form shall never grace their greedy hands. SITRI returns to EATBRAIN with his latest single, ALPHABET//ARGENTUM, which sees him synthesize futuristic rhythmic sequences and transmute thrashing basslines to surge alongside them for his second EATBRAIN release.

'For All of Us' is the fourth album from liquid funk pioneers Technimatic, and the first on their own label 'Technimatic Music'. Since joining forces in 2007, Peter Rogers and Andy Powell have become key players in the world of musical, emotive drum & bass. Their rich back catalogue covers the cream of d&b labels - Hospital, Ram, Shogun Audio and Spearhead to name a few - and in 2021 they established their own 'Technimatic Music' imprint. 'For All of Us' reflects the current moment we are living in. The post-pandemic landscape, rising energy costs, geo-political instability, coupled with the relentless demands and expectations of social media have left many feeling disconnected, lost or anxious about their place and purpose in the world. But music has always been a guiding force that, when the dark feels overbearing, never fails to help people into the light. Over the years, Pete and Andy have been inundated with personal messages of difficulty, grief, hardship, and how their music has helped people process, cope or just forget briefly about their troubles and go somewhere else. This is what 'For All Of Us' is about. 'This album was born from a sense of kinship, love and gratitude to all the people who have come along with us on our journey. To those who, like us, might have had a tough time lately, feeling uncertain, lost or alone. It's for all of us. We hope it takes you to where you want to be' - Technimatic

Matt to his friends aka Scout 22 has a musical history that could take you around the sun and back with delves into dubstep, House, techno and of course drum and bass. As no stranger to releasing music on high profile labels, Matt took upon the new moniker of Scout 22 just months before the world shut down for the pandemic. This did not stop him though honing his craft through the time given he released a flurry of tracks across high profile labels such a Program (Ram sub label) Eatbrain, Dispatch and of course his own imprint, Shadownet. This brings us to this monster of an EP and how fitting as the tracks are absolute beasts to boot. we give you "Great Beasts" 1/ Scout 22- "Atomic" Kicking off the show we go balls to the wall and dip our toe into the neurosphere with Atomic. Haunting bells and drums rush this one through our tech influenced intro. Reminiscent of classic Raiden/Kemal before landing flat in its back with an atomic bomb vocal skit. and yet more drum builds to a deep dark scanty style neuro stepper. A great beast in its own right and a fantastic open to a hefty EP 2/ Scout 22- "Great Beasts" We land now in the title track of the EP and one that's gone through not only multiple name changes but sounds too before we hit the halt and eject button where we are happy to unleash it to the world. A deep and dark roller for this one taking a complete 180 while still giving thast gripping and signified Scout 22 sound. An awesome rolling percussion set across eerie and haunting synths smothered with a glitched and heavily processed bassline give this heads down vibes for any dance floor. 3/ Scout 22- "Hold The Light" Scout 22 shows some more of his awesome scope as a drum n bass producer taking yet another sound and style in the genre and making it his own. This one leads more into the "Dutty of dutty rollers'' category and does everything you expect from this genre and more. Classic sounds used to cut through the darkness on this which is massively needed this one is for the dark room and strobe light only crowd. 4/ Scout 22- "The Banished" Leading the pack on this one, The Banished certainly stands head and shoulders out on this release with its originality and depth seeking missile of a bassline. Crunch, crunch, crunch, and no that's not cereal being slammed down your gullet at breakfast, Its the kick from this monster crushing your eardrums. 5/ Scout 22- "The Heavy" We close up the EP with a familiar sound. `The Heavy` gets its encore after making an exclusive appearance earlier this year on the Best of 2022 album and rightly so as Scout 22 closes out the year in style. A crazy arrangement and a real bass face creator if there ever was one within a drum n bass track. A super eclectic sound leaning heavily into heavily distorted amens and a thundering collage of bass sounds. A behemoth that's had some huge support in recent months from the big boys in drum and bass.

Amidst the wreckage of a modern empire that had long since fallen into ruin, few vestiges of its once-thriving culture remained. Many of those that had once inhabited this now desolate domain had fled its fall or perished within it, and with them had been lost much of the knowledge that the empire had once possessed. Yet within the rubble and scrap lay material memories waiting eagerly to be accessed by those who came searching for them, saplings of knowledge that sprouted from the ashen soil and stood ready to be reinterpreted and reinvigorated by a new generation of minds that now combed the wastes. The scavengers had come over time, attracted to the legends of hidden treasures that lay within the ruins. For some, the wealth they found was in precious metals or ancient tomes, but for others, that wealth lay in the experiences that could be facilitated by the long-lost technology that waited within. Thus it was that a certain team of scavengers had come to find themselves hauling a massive black box across the wastes on a wheeled truss. The magnetic core at the center of the device would sometimes attract nearby metallic scrap as flies upon a corpse in their travels, and the scavengers would then set to the tedious work of removing the scrap and carrying it away from their most prized possession. What they sought in their journey were the fragile remnants of the empire's great constructions, crumbling buildings and boulevards that teetered on the edge of collapse. It was at these sites that they would halt their procession and perform a great ritual. Calling down lightning from the sky with a great aluminum rod, they would channel nature's inimitable power into the great magnetic core of their device. Then from its fore would emanate the most incredible sound, a thunderous roar that brought calamity to all that stood before it, ripping through the foundations of its target with sheer sonic force. The device's devotees had long since gone deaf from performing their ritual, but to them, it mattered not - the sheer power of the BASSLINE SHOTTA was something they needed only to feel as they unleashed its glory upon the world. PROLIX returns to EATBRAIN with his latest single crafted in collaboration with a group of like-minded bassline devotees. Together with AL/SO, Biometric and RHI, PROLIX conducts a bassline ritual for the EATBRAIN horde that is sure to send their bodies into a frenzied trance on the dancefloor. wrtitten by Gwen Kubik
We are pleased to welcome São Paulo native Dunk to the label, best known as the master of the minimal sound. Originally one-half of Jam Thieves, Dunk is now feeling motivated to continue on a solo mission, conquering the underground drum & bass scene with a dark selection of snapping kicks and snares. With the output of a machine, Dunk consistently draws on quality drum & bass that pushes the limits of sound systems around the world. We welcome back Broken Boy to Sub-Label Recordings Yellow Label with the fantastic moody release titled Akapura. An ep that takes us on a twisting journey through sound design and liquid vibes, that leaves an energetic and refreshing feel. Akapura was a track started years ago that finally came together through many trials and tribulations. It was hard from the start and the bassline was reworked many times. The foghorn sound of the bass is defined and balanced with the rest of the contrasting sounds. Carapace was trying to create some of the more minimal sounds inspired by a huge influence Alix Perez. It came together fairly quickly but getting the minimal mix took a long time. Weakness is a gentle roller that was made to try and get a break from the heavy sounds. Creating a well rounded balance to the rest of the ep with the other tracks in the release adding a gentle part for the listener.

When Drumsound & Bassline Smith draw for their underground 2DB alter-ego, you know they've been cooking up something savage. And from the hype-inducing take me higher vocal-laced intro to the stomping drop with its pulsating, percussive bass and mid-range interactions, this tune is clearly precision-engineered for dancefloor demolition. With the added seasoning of nostalgic old skool rave influence, this release is going to become a staple selection for whenever a deejay needs to turn up the energy.

Many ancient texts detail occult experiments into the creation of CHIMERA, fusions of living beings of different species that draw on their various strengths whilst removing their individual flaws. Their existences are a thing of legend, long sought by many but never brought into the light of knowledge by substantiated proof. Indeed, as human knowledge of the world's species has advanced, such fusions have been relegated largely to the realm of pure fiction, an imaginative but ultimately impossible class of being that cannot exist within the modern, rational world. Yet for all of the progress of science and reason that has occurred in the millennia since these tales were first told, our kind has done little to cast off the ignorance to which we are so prone. Could it be not so simply that such beings cannot exist, but further that they exist in forms that we simply have yet to comprehend? For I have heard tell, dear reader, of CHIMERA that walk amongst us amidst our modern world. Masquerading as our friends, our colleagues, and our leaders, their presence goes unnoticed by all but the most discerning of eyes that are paired only with the most open of minds. Born from within the endless intricacies of our data-driven world, these creatures emerge from the depths of the forgotten places upon which that world is built. Deriving consciousness from the near-endless supply of social data our species produces, they are said to manipulate electrical currents to piece together a physical form at the molecular level, a perfect simulacrum for which to host their synthetic minds. It is then that they step forth from within the depths of our server farms, our electrical grids, and our greatest scientific laboratories, their human facades augmented by an inherent connection to the vast sum of our species' collective knowledge. It is sure to be true, dear leader, that these beings have already assumed positions of great power amongst us. Thus it is that I urge you to beware the CHIMERA which walks not upon the paws of the lion nor flies upon the wings of an eagle. Yes, a far more sinister being walks amongst us, dear reader, a CHIMERA that smiles with the perfect teeth of its unerringly human guise. 'Future Forever' sees QZB come full circle. The duo's debut album lands after a three-year span of radical re-examination. During this extended writing time, they have delved head-first into their practice, questioning every step of the process. Drafting, testing, reimagining its components. Fine-tuning its minute details. Until the machine was built to fit the spec. Needless to say, they had to get rid of a lot to get this whole thing worked over; from outboard circuitry to inner attitudes. There were sweat, tears, and splinters. The project chronicles these struggles precisely, wears its heart on its sleeve. It negotiates between the influenced and the genuine, the shoulds and woulds of its time, trading up any sense of destination for a grasp on the present. Both artists draw on their shared passion for cinematography and design to translate this experience, incorporating new modes of production throughout. With sonic fragments arranged in wide shot compositions, the QZB signature sound delivers. Emotion is revealed through cuts and purposeful push-ins. They exercise restraint when leaving their cast of collaborators to take center stage. They celebrate their brand of monochromatic maximalism everywhere else. And the drums, they hit hard. Within 36 months of recording, patching, scratching, bouncing, and re-bouncing, QZB have distilled their vision down to 44 minutes of focused intent. This album is high-tech funk recounting the past, understanding the present, hallucinating the coming. It is released by Critical Music and features contributions by Charli Brix, T-Man, Marea, MCXL. #QZB – Future Forever

20 years ago A Sides released Break's debut track on his imprint East Side Records, opening a door for him to the DnB scene at large. Finally the day has come where Break can return the favour and drop an A Sides cut on Symmetry. It was worth the wait as A Sides delivers a sublime single, covering two distinct styles in the process. 'Chances' has a classy soulful sound, tight crispy beats, and smooth production subtly restrained with a meditative edge. 'Only One Sound' is a classic roller, murky dubbed out flavours, steppy beats heavily underpinned by fizzy sub bass. Break has been playing this on dub for quite a while and it fits perfectly into the Symmetry catalogue.
Coming in hard with the first remix of "Ride Or Die" Rukus enlist the talents of new school jungle badboy Tim Reaper to add his modern classic vibe to the track. Following releases on Hooversound, Lobster Theremin and his own Future Retro imprint as well as a killer Essential Mix last year, Tim is without doubt the sound of now - taking the classic jungle sounds into new territories. This remix hits hard - leaving the original vocals in place but hyping up the energy with some choppy amens.
Released back in June this year on Jungle cakes 'All is Love' was a hit amongst the reggae fans of the world. With its soft melody, gentle effects and touching lyrics Leanne Louise and Zen Lewis formed an amazing duet to bring us some truly summertime beachy vibes. 'Klue' as we all know have been performing hit after hit since joining jungle cakes, and these two from Brighton just keep pushing things to the next level. Taking what was already an amazing tune and putting a DnB spin on it, this remix is crispier than a pack of crackers on a dry day. The wurley fx subs are subtle but affective and the drops are spot on. Add this one to the list of must buys this year.
