DJ/producer Ahmed Spins debuts on MoBlack, together with legendary Kologo maestro Stevo Atambire and South African songstress, Lizwi. The Boston-based artist ushers in his two-track EP through a synergetic collaboration with one of Afro House's most compelling vocalists and gifted musicians. Vitalized by Stevo Atambire's affective Frafra vocals, 'Anchor Point' is a gratifying calibration and an immersion into the deep combers of house - rife with dynamic Afro rhythms, permeating strings and eloquent vocal gradients. 'Waves & wavs' concludes the saga - powered by robust percussion and the sorcery of Lizwi's soul-nourishing balladry. Driven by climactic progressions, euphoric melodies and transcendent Moroccan sounds, this harmonic litany interlaces lucid electronic pulses with elemental acoustics to perpetuate a pensive dancefloor meditation. With The Legacy — All Time Best Sellers Vol. 4, MoBlack Records shifts the focus from compilation to conversation. This fourth chapter is not about revisiting hits, but about tracing the invisible lines that connect cultures, voices and rhythms across continents and generations. It is a collection built on movement, memory and musical dialogue. From the atmospheric tension of "Burlan" and "Elysian" to the raw, percussive drive of "Mabudede" (Kususa Remix) and "Manoo Remix", the album moves freely between introspection and physical energy. Vocal-led moments like "Aisa" (FNX Omar Remix), "O Pa Mi Titi Deabe" (Armonica Remix) and "Ilanga" bring human warmth to the foreground, while tracks such as "Creatures", "Mandinka Woman" and "Saana Yoo Ma" explore deeper, more spiritual territories. Several collaborations stand as cultural bridges rather than simple features. "Clareou", "Can Soleil" and "Kukaya" (Fka Mash Remix) blend regional identities into a shared language made for modern dancefloors. Later, cuts like "Amaya", "Zimbabwe" (Kintar Remix) and "Road to Nowhere" push the narrative forward with bold textures and restless momentum. The closing stretch, led by "Candela" and "Mi Amor", leaves space for reflection as much as release, reminding listeners that groove and emotion are never separate worlds. The Legacy Vol. 4 does not look back for nostalgia. It looks outward. It documents how global electronic music continues to evolve through collaboration, respect for roots, and the courage to experiment. A chapter shaped by instinct, experience and the belief that rhythm is still one of the strongest forms of connection we have.

We all feel lost and disconnected at times. Its only human. But what if these moments of uncertainty actually guide us to brighter futures? What if the barriers that exist within us are merely the ones we created ourselves. Its the same with music. Its human nature to categorize the sounds we hear and label them in a way that makes sense. But these barriers too can be broken down. And they have been, in the twenty-first installment of the annual year mix series: A State of Trance Year Mix 2024 (Mixed by Armin van Buuren).Starting with an inspirational intro narrated by none other than Moby, this 113-track, year-culminating mix is designed to push boundaries, weaving together the sounds that share a soul. Comprising productions from scene favorites such as Armin van Buuren, Paul van Dyk, and Ben Gold, as well as those of Ferry Corsten, KI/KI and Ben Hemsley, the year mix upholds its trance legacy whilst embracing the sounds that were once given a different label.Dont let the barriers dictate the limit. Lean into them till they break, for the world beyond may add some color to yours. All together, in A State of Trance.

Meera is a Norwegian producer whose debut on Black Book Records comes after a meteoric rise from the melodic house & techno community. Her Corpus EP lands just over a year since her debut release on Vinyl On Demand, during which time her IDs have quickly elevated her into one of the most sought-after names to emerge from the European club circuit. Now, with Chris Lakes seal of approval and a Canadian tour underway, Meeras upcoming release readies the young artist for a bold and lasting impression on the North American dance community. Inspired by formative experiences at clubs like De School and Berghain, Meera brings more than 15 years of studious immersion in club culture to her production. Distinguished by her tastefully intricate percussion and ethereal synthwork, Corpus sees the producer leaning deeper into peak-time energy, contextualizing the extensive touring shes done over the course of 2024. Sirkustelt imbues that same note with a feverish psychedelia, playfully pushing the boundaries of club-centric aesthetics. In addition to her summer residency at Ibizas famed Hï, Meera spent 2024 on an international tour that featured stops across several famed international venues and festivals, including Tomorrowland, fabric, Fusion Festival, Watergate, Kater Blau, and many more. Meera continues to receive accolades from tastemakers like &ME, AMEME, Damian Lazarus, Emanuel Satie, and Black Coffee, among others, asserting that despite being a newcomer, she is confidently here to stay.
To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Defected Records presents a series of extra special collaborative releases Together, integrating talent from the label's storied past and the stars of its future. One of the OG Defected House Masters, Dennis Ferrer's relationship with the iconic London label is checkpointed by a vast number of innovative originals, guiding house through many eras from soul and gospel to Afro and techno. Now renowned as one of the instantly recognisable anthems of modern house and the Defected catalogue, 'Hey Hey' receives two Afro house remixes from Jack Back and Da Capo & Kitty Amor. One of electronic music's most recognisable artists, David Guetta created the Jack Back alias to return to his house roots, releasing the chart-topping Defected hit '(It Happens) Sometimes' in 2018. His remix of Dennis Ferrer's classic has been widely teased in his sets, including a DJ Mag livestream which resulted in a tidal wave of fan support; now the French titan presents the hotly anticipated 'Hey Hey', complete with pitched percussion steering us towards moments of tension and smooth, deep release. Up next on the package, South African producer Da Capo joins forces with a pioneer of the burgeoning UK Afro house scene, Mahaba Music label boss Kitty Amor. Together the pair create an unmissable take on the classic, presenting a brooding 'Hey Hey' that unfurls slowly to reveal growling, electronic rhythms that slice through the sound system with tenacity. Raffa Guido, Moeaike and Nab debut on MoBlack Records, delivering a trio of unique tracks strung together by shared lyrics. First in line, Swiss-based artist Raffa Guido reconnects with his Spanish roots through "Famax." Graced with sultry Iberian undertones and permeating electronic nuances, 'Famax' carries alluring Spanish vocals across a tapestry of dynamic beats, emotive swells, and captivating resonance. Up next, Italian duo, Moeaike inject their deft touch and sublime synergy into "Mala Fama". Mingling earthy soundscapes with crisp electronic modulations and euphoric melodies, this kaleidoscopic musical journey is rife with luminous strings and timbres. Wrapping up the EP, Tunisian producer NAB yields his edgy interpretation. Fueled by electrifying riffs and viscous rhythms, "Yafama '' weaves raw instrumentals to amplify its vibrations - an effervescent anthem poised to ignite dancefloors. "Famax," "Mala Fama" and "Yafama" all shine in their own right, yet in tandem, celebrate the universal language of music and the emotions that bind humanity at the core. Words by Marie J Floro. Artwork by Rachael D'Alessandro. "Famax" and "Yafama" mastering by Daniele Mattiuzzi. Executive Producer Mimmo Falcone. Distribution by Muting The Noise.
