Its that time of year when anyone with a love of dance music shelters in Amsterdams hotels and bars and discusses the wonderful world of repetitive beats. Post-discussion, and usually post-consumption, they scrap their way into whatever club they can to enjoy said repetitive beats. This compilation gives you the best of our releases from the past year so that you can enjoy some prime Glasgow Underground at a very reasonable price. With the added bonus that, if youre at ADE, and the discussion turns to Scotlands foremost house imprint, youll know what youre talking about.
Warbeats Records presents WAR164, the Cosmic EP by Plastic Robots and Fab Massimo, featuring a remix by Greenwolve. The three-track release moves across two distinct sonic territories — Indie Dance and Psy-Techno — tracing the contours of a collaboration built between a Brazilian duo rooted in alternative electronic music and a half-German, half-Puerto Rican producer who has spent the better part of a decade reworking Tech House on his own terms. Plastic Robots — Nando Scheffer and Daniel Queiroz — have built a project defined by sonic unpredictability and an uncompromising alternative edge. From their own label, Warbeats Records, they have expanded their reach to include Dirtybird, Mau5trap, and Sink Or Swim, while taking their sets to festivals and venues across Germany, Russia, South Africa, Argentina, and Australia. Approaching 20 million streams and 240,000 Shazams, with DJ support from names including deadmau5, Lost Frequencies, Felix Jaehn, Benny Benassi, Odd Mob, Claptone, and Gorgon City, Plastic Robots occupy a position in the Brazilian electronic scene that resists easy categorization — which is precisely the point. Fab Massimo arrived in the Tech House world in 2019 and quickly positioned himself as a voice working against the genre's more predictable tendencies. Born in Western Germany from German and Puerto Rican heritage, he shaped a rolling, restless approach to production informed by a commitment to authenticity that extends beyond the music itself — into his public advocacy for mental health and a more honest culture within the industry. His 2021 single "MY MAN" charted at Beatport #11 across all genres and surpassed 500,000 streams on Spotify, while "Smile for Me" crossed one million streams. He has performed at flagship German venues including Bootshaus in Cologne, Sisyphos, Ritter Butzke, KitKat, and About:Blank in Berlin. Internationally, his footprint reached Delta Festival in Marseille, Hollystone in Koh Phangan, and The Artistry in Goa. His most recent highlights include a play by Adam Beyer at circuitGROUNDS during EDC Mexico, a #1 chart position on Beatport's Techno (Peak Time / Driving), and placement on Spotify's Electronic Rising — all confirmed in early 2026. As label manager of LOW CEILING, he is also a structural voice in shaping the ecosystem his music inhabits. Baptiste Petit, known as Greenwolve, brings a third dimension to the project. A producer who began making music at age 12, he navigated through Minimal Techno and Psytrance before reigniting the Greenwolve project in 2022 under the Psy-Techno banner with "Freekz" on Music4Aliens. Quickly recognized by Canadian label Alpaka Muzik, he became a resident artist and has since accumulated support from Joris Voorn, Helsloot, Bart Skils, and John 00 Fleming — who played his music at Boom Festival in Portugal. His work has appeared on Beatport's Best New Techno playlist and reached Kiss FM in Melbourne, Australia. His remix of "Cosmic" extends the original's architecture into psychedelic territory, reinforcing the bridge he has made his artistic signature: between the discipline of club techno and the expansiveness of psychedelic soundscapes. The Cosmic EP presents two original productions — "Cosmic" and "Yelling at the Ghost" — alongside Greenwolve's reinterpretation. Each track navigates energy and identity from a different angle, holding together as a cohesive statement while giving each artist room to speak in their own language.
