"I'm very excited to work with deep medi again. I was buzzing to be releasing topper top with them on their 10th anniversary and it's even better to be back for their 20th". Sir Spyro Kicking off our 20th anniversary year, and arriving 10 years after his iconic release 'Topper Top', grime, dubstep and UK bass pioneer Sir Spyro returns to DEEP MEDi with his new dancefloor rattling EP, 2ND SQ. The EP opens with the unrelenting '2ND SQ', the track's stuttering hi-hats and all consuming bass cut through by an icy, industrial-sized snare. The desolate 'Be Afraid' creates a sense of vastness via its minimal production, resulting in an eerie and energised track designed for dark warehouse raves.'Diagonal' continues in the same dark vein, the track's brooding, looping production sure to send listeners into a mystified trance. Closing the EP is 'Patch Bae', a glitchy joyride that calls to mind the16-bit era of gaming, leading listeners on an exhilarating, kaleidoscopic journey. 2ND SQ A1: 2ND SQ A2: Be Afraid B1: Diagonal B2: Patch Bae 13th Feb 2026 (MEDi145)

Mob Killa distills pressure and experimentation on new 'Misericorde' EP for Chestplate Records Chestplate Records returns with Misericorde, a two-track EP from Mob Killa that captures both the ruthless efficiency and left-field curiosity at the core of the label's ethos. Across two sharply contrasted cuts, Mob Killa explores minimalism, movement, and musical hybridity-resulting in a release that feels as much at home on a sound system as it does under close headphone scrutiny. The title track, 'Misericorde,' is a dark, evolving dubstep stomper built for maximum physical impact. Stripped of excess, the track leans into tension and space, allowing its low-end weight to breathe and mutate over time. Sub pressure rolls with intent, percussion lands with military precision, and subtle shifts in texture keep the energy in constant motion. It's a track designed to test rooms, rattle chests, and reward DJs who trust restraint as much as force. On the flip, 'Throwing Deck' reveals a different side of Mob Killa's production palette. A melting pot of jazz and dubstep influences, the track folds skippy, swung drums into brushed snare textures, creating a loose, elastic groove that feels both experimental and deeply musical. Jazz phrasing weaves through the rhythm section, giving the track a playful, almost improvised feel without sacrificing weight. It's a strikingly distinct piece that pushes beyond genre convention while remaining grounded in sound system culture. Together, the two tracks form a concise but deliberate statement. Misericorde isn't about maximalism-it's about control, contrast, and confidence. With this EP, Mob Killa reinforces his position as a producer unafraid to balance raw functionality with adventurous ideas, while Chestplate Records continues to carve its lane as a home for forward-thinking, uncompromising electronic music.

Boka Records kicks off 2026 by welcoming Echoboy for his debut on the label. An artist we have appreciated for some time, coming with a style and sound that has been fairly under-represented on the label for the most part. EchoBoy is a project established by Adam from Riddim Tuffa, one of the pioneers of 80's Digital Reggae revival scene. Whilst still in the Jamaican reggae style, EchoBoy is more focused on the darker side of dub, drawing his influence from the current sound of electronic music. His vision is to create a unique combination of different music genres with strong accent on a sub bass freq.
