Since the project's 2022 debut the sounds of &friends have made their way to every corner of the globe. The Nitefreak Remix of "Ode Ireti' ft. Oluwadamvic saw unprecedented, viral success. Receiving massive radio and touring support from top names in the space, the infectious chorus "o-le-le" has become a staple in the sets of many titans of dance music. The Amapiano Edit of the acclaimed track plays further homage to the African roots of collaborators eL-Jay and Oluwadamvic. Ode Ireti, meaning 'Hunters of Hope' in West African native language Yoruba, is a story of what happens when we listen to our hearts versus what others tell us. David Mackay infuses the track with radiant warmth, sculpting shimmering synth lines and soft-lit melodies that echo the final moments of daylight. His rework drifts in the golden haze of sunset, capturing that fragile instant where time seems to slow, inviting a deeper surrender to the fading glow. Roy Rosenfeld, in contrast, guides the piece into the magnetic pull of nightfall. With his signature blend of atmospheric depth and refined tension, he shapes a soundscape where sleek percussion and expansive harmonics rise like the first stars against a darkening sky.
