Seventeen years after its original release, Martin Brodin and Nina Hall's Dirty Soul returns with a fresh perspective. For the Italo Deviance Remixes, Marcello Giordani—better known as Italo Deviance and formerly one half of Marvin & Guy—returns to Roam Recordings to reimagine the timeless original. Across two hypnotic club mixes, he blends vintage Italo textures, driving basslines, and modern dancefloor energy, giving Dirty Soul a fresh new life while honoring the spirit of the original.
Mufti and NIKKNAME unite on Echo, a collaborative EP that brings together two artists with a shared affinity for post-punk, disco, and leftfield electronic music. Blending Mufti's instinct for moody club grooves with NIKKNAME's detailed, emotionally driven production, the release feels both natural and distinctive. Across three original tracks and a radio edit, Echo unfolds with quiet confidence. Vanity Delusion opens with hypnotic rhythms and shimmering synths, Echo pairs haunting vocals with spacious production, and Catch Me closes the EP with a touch more urgency while preserving its unmistakable sense of atmosphere. Without leaning too heavily on any one genre, the EP draws naturally from post-punk, cosmic disco, and synth-driven electronics, favoring mood, texture and restraint over easy formulas. Echo fits naturally into the Roam catalogue—atmospheric, understated and built to linger. Artwork: Javi Redondo
