An artist with a powerful story to tell, Hrag Mikkel has been at the forefront of underground dance music since 2017. Now returning to Proton Music for a debut original EP, "Cosmic Bliss / Silver Night" continues that adventure. Born and raised in Lebanon under a raft of challenging circumstances, Hrag Mikkel's voice has resonated loudly through his inspiring sound and sonic mastery. A regular on the likes of Pipe & Pochet, Kindisch and Armen Miran's Hoomidaas, Hrag made a memorable mark on Proton Music with a glorious reworking of Nōpi's "Liquid Week" with fellow countryman Pambouk in April 2021. Now providing the label with two original tracks, "Cosmic Bliss" is a wonderfully imagined work that combines organic and synthesised melodies in sublime symbiosis. An effortless groove provides subtle urgency as glassy keys and counterpoint motifs collide gently against each other to create a palette of brilliant sonic colours. Rippling through a beatless break, melodic elements pick up the pace once more in the second half with poise and grace. "Silver Night" carries the same percussive liquidity as its counterpart with familiar elements continuing the narrative groove. Immaculately placed riffs cascade around each other in a delightful call and response as delayed synths and smooth keys create the perfect juxtaposition. Waxing and waning with ease, the various sonic elements create a typically rich aural tapestry that effortlessly showcases the Hrag Mikkel sound. Jamie Stevens has been creating standout dance music productions for over two decades, both as part of the award-winning Infusion band and in solo guise. A veteran of such esteemed imprints as Bedrock, Lost & Found, Selador and Sudbeat Music, the Australian has been a regular on Proton Music since late 2019 with a quartet of exquisite remixes. Reworking Rudy, Petar Dundov, Magitman, and James Monro (the latter in April 2023), Jamie returns to Proton Music with a fifth remix. Reimagining "Cosmic Bliss", a powerful rhythmic force immediately comes to the fore with superb jungle sounds reminiscent of Future Sound of London forming an atmospheric backdrop. Taking familiar motifs from the original, his skill is to rework them into an evocative 9-minute extravaganza that fires off in new directions, not least in a spine-tingling bass progression and meandering pads. Hitting its stride with a storming breakbeat pattern in the second half, the combination of melodic prowess and dancefloor force illustrates a supreme talent still at the top of his game. The final remix sees Pablo Maneiro make his Proton Music debut through his Mayro production soubriquet. Author of over 150 production credits, the Argentinean star quickly found his place through his effortless merging of genres which led to a 2018 debut on Renesanz. Since then, music signed to the likes of Mango Alley, Perspectives Digital and Miss Monique's Siona Records has seen Mayro making sizeable headlines supported but Eelke Kleijn, Armen Miran and Cid Inc. A clutch of releases on Particles was punctuated by the impressive "Crazy Thoughts" EP in mid-2022 as Mayro now makes his Proton Music debut. Reworking "Cosmic Bliss", a driving beat and ticking off-beat percussion provides a club-friendly framework from which familiar melodic phrases make their presence felt. Adding an array of additional production material in the shape of new motifs and shimmering effects, Hrag Mikkel's track is taken in a dramatic new direction, not least via a rasping, razor-edged bassline groove that powers the remix forwards. Pulsating waves of pads and stereo-panned effects add to the vibrancy in the second half to create a dynamic and visceral offering. Two original tracks plus stunning remixes from Jamie Stevens and Mayro find Hrag Mikkel in a state of sonic "Cosmic Bliss". Directed by Jay Epoch Mastered by Cid Inc. A new artist partnership to grace the Proton Music catalogue, TOBO & Baksta join forces on "Dreamer". A pair of remixes come courtesy of the iconic Nick Muir and progressive heavyweight, Dave Leck. Australian duo, TOBO & Baksta have been staples of the club and festival circuit around their homeland. Originally from Cairns in Northern Queensland, the duo have lit up the stage at the St Kilda and Comfort Creek Festivals in Victoria and at Skypark in their hometown. As part of the DEPTH roster, the duo has been creating cinematic experiences in some of Australia's breathtaking natural locations. A nascent production career has seen production work hit the likes of Smash Bang Records and Recovery Collective, as TOBO & Baksta now debut on Proton Music. "Dreamer" is a beautifully constructed Progressive House track that revels in a deep chord progression against a hefty kick and delicate percussive top-line. Rising and falling with ease, space is made for the free-flowing melody to evolve as counterpoint synth lines and growling bassline come to the fore in the second half to create a subtle energy and melodic dynamism. A renowned and hugely respected figure in the history of underground dance music, Nick Muir became a household name after his work with John Digweed under the Bedrock name and almost 300 credits on Digweed's label of the same name. After appearing on Danny Boyle's "Trainspotting" soundtrack, and with production credits for club classics like "Heaven Scent" and "Emerald" to his name, Nick's work for Proton Music has continued to grow. Original EPs in the shape of 2023's "All One Word" and October 2025's "Eyes Up" have been supported by remixes for Rick Pier O'Neil, Sebastian Sellares, Eric Lune and Luke Mandala, seeing the UK artist continue to reach the upper echelons of modern Progressive House. With his trademark retro vibe, the Nick Muir remix of "Dreamer" takes the central melodic chords of the original and creates an effortless deep house cadence that meanders delicately across its 7-minute duration. A hefty bassline groove adds club-friendly vibrancy in another interpretation that showcases the UK star's versatility. Melbourne-resident, Dave Leck sees music at the very centre of his life. An artist with a double century of credits, his work for Soundteller, 3rd Avenue and Emotional Content Recordings have shown a mature production sound, while work for Particles has witnessed a quartet of original EPs through "Stardust", "Primal Connection", "Elevate" and "Opal", plus remixes from GMJ & Matter and Kamilo Sanclemente. Remixing Nick Muir's "Eyes Up" for Proton Music in October 2025 was another notable career highlight as Dave Leck takes "Dreamer" on a suitably high-calibre journey through hallmark progressive soundscapes. Full of rhythmic verve, familiar melodies glisten and shine above a rolling percussive groove and deep, resonant kick. A syncopated bassline pattern adds further depth and dynamism before pulsating pads and a beautifully textured landscape reach new heights in a second half to showcase Leck's considerable skillset. "Dreamer" sees TOBO & Baksta create a vision of rare melodic beauty, ably supported with remixes from Nick Muir and Dave Leck. Directed by Jay Epoch Mastered by Cid Inc. Making a welcome return to the Proton Music catalogue, Luis León and Unseener are joined by the multi-talented Eleonora as they showcase BTG. A single remix comes from iconic figures, Gai Barone and Luke Brancaccio. Renowned figures within the underground dance fraternity, Luis León and Oscar Paredes (aka Unseener) have been at the vanguard of the Progressive House scene with a series of highly polished productions for some of the most illustrious independent labels. From Manjumasi to Oleeva Records and Nie Wieder Schlafen to Lenfant terrible, almost 300 credits have shone a powerful light over their talent, including a century on Luis own Blankhaus Music. Proton Music has also played a part in that success, not least with the Concorde EP in April 2024. A howitzer of a release with remixes from Petar Dundov and Juan Deminicis, Luis León and Unseener return to Proton alongside the vocal talents of Berlin-based, Eleonora. Widely regarded as one of the most important female producers in the underground dance scene, her production work and vocal talent have graced a slew of A-list imprints including Anjunabeats, KATTERMUKKE and Get Physical Records. Making their collective debut, BTG is a superbly crafted breakbeat extravaganza with superlatively spaced bassline groove and delicate melodic progression. Eleonoras vocals quickly add to the sonic collage in bouncing waves of joy and infectious playful quality. Developing easily over its 4-minute timeframe, the track is a breath of fresh air in a world where a touch of sonic joy goes a long way. Gai Barone & Luke Brancaccio need little introduction to the Progressive House faithful. Both formidable producers in their own rights with a list of credits that totals nearly 1000 between them, their work in solo and collaborative guises for some of the most important underground imprints, has been seen regularly on the likes of Bedrock, Sprout, Renaissance, Balance Music and Lost & Found. A remix of dernis, the kid in mid-2024 marked a Proton Music debut, while the Got to Get it Started EP in July 2025 showcased an original track of the highest order, alongside remixes from Orsen and Michael A. Now returning with a second remix, the Gai Barone & Luke Brancaccio remix is a stunning interpretation that evolves effortlessly over its near 9-minute timeframe with a subtle tribal beat and swathe of stereo-panned effects. Before long, Eleonoras vocals appear front and centre as they float across the deep rhythmic textures. Hitting another level at the breakdown, the introduction of a devastating synth pattern elevates the track further still as it builds in relentless fashion. Dropping into a rousing finale, a hypnotic synth cadence and Eleonoras vocals combine with Luis and Unseeners original elements to create a masterpiece of modern Progressive House. Another gold standard, Luis León, Unseener and Eleonora have mined a powerful piece of electronic music in BTG, further bejewelled by Gai Barone & Luke Brancaccios 24-carat interpretation.
