For its 25th anniversary, Cocoon Recordings returns to its roots with an elaborate vinyl LP box set, marking the first part of a two-volume anniversary project. 25 Years Cocoon Recordings - Volume One brings together exclusive contributions from international artists who have defined the sound and diversity of the label over the past two decades, complemented by fresh talents who are helping to shape its future. Over the span of 25 years, Cocoon Recordings has created a catalog that now comprises hundreds of releases, 12-inches, albums, mix CDs, and iconic compilation box sets, always bridging past, present, and future. While firmly rooted in techno and house, the label has also provided space for electronica, ambient, and other evolving genres. 25 Years Cocoon Recordings - Volume One is more than just a compilation. It is both a homage to the labels history and a glimpse into what lies ahead. With exclusive tracks that embody the Cocoon sound in all its depth and complexity, this release marks a milestone in the legacy of one of electronic musics most influential labels, arguably the strongest compilation in Cocoons history. The compilation is completed by the unmistakable talents of Damiano von Erckert, Fedele, and ja:ck, who provide the perfect conclusion to the first of two parts. This release sets the stage for whats next: a daring diptych where musical voices emerge, shining with originality and passion, carrying the spirit forward. The story is just beginning. A natural follow-up to Breathe In in both sound and meaning, Breathe Out sees a new, healthier and reconnected Armin van Buuren deliver the second and final part of his ninth studio album, Breathe. Inspired by a stronger sense of self, more creativity and an even more dauntless approach to studio work, the album comprises a total of 38 tracks, from chart-topping hits to surprising collaborations (e.g. Pendulum & Rob Swire, Sam Gray, Moby, Bon Jovi) and new tracks, such as Let It Be For Love (feat. Jai Ryu) and Gimme The Love (with Seth Hills, feat. Alessia Labate). It is chockful of sound fusions and expert songwriting, showing that a balanced mind and lifestyle can lead to wonder. Breathe Out really shows how far Ive come, not just as an artist, but as a person. This album is about creative freedom, living fully, and putting everything Ive learned – especially through my journey with mental health and self-growth – into the music. In many ways, it feels like coming full circle. – Armin van Buuren

Amelie Lens' EXHALE imprint launches with a myriad of uncompromising techno tracks from the underground's finest established and aspiring artists. EXHALE's much anticipated first release continues the legacy of the EXHALE event series with a fifteen original track compilation featuring old and new friends from each avenue of the underground. With a shared love of rave culture, the label is a platform for the forward-thinking while simultaneously paying homage to foundations of techno. With this in mind, Amelie gathers familiar faces and upcoming artists to deliver the future sounds of techno. Spanning to each dark corner of the technosphere, the compilation fosters a range of sound that exhibits each artist's production taste and background. Amelie & EXHALE events mainstay AIROD open proceedings with the ascending 'Adrenaline', featuring acid lines and hypnotic vocals, with Spanish techno veteran Regal driving on with authoritative speed and neurotic alarms in 'Spreading the cult'. Following his debut on LENSKE, Amelie welcomes AhI Iver to bring an acid flavour to this compilation along with French talent Felicie, who builds tension early on with raucous track 'The Devil Himself'. Obscure Shape & SHDW follow with 'Brennende Erde', inducing a state of trance with whirring atmospherics. Next up is notable Berlin based producer Klangkuenstler with 'Engelsblut', an oscillation of stabbing keys, sinister drones and unrelenting hi-hats before transitioning into 'Take Two' from REMY-X, whom Amelie discovered after his stand-out EP on Coincidence Records last year. DJ/Producer at the forefront of French techno Antigone proceeds with 'U Tell Me', along with Brecc who incorporates industrial elements and thundering bass with track 'Vox', continuing with Antwerp producer Lukas Firtzer's 'Excessus', packed with shifting percussions and tenacious melodies. Purveyor of modular techno MRD combines layered atmospherics and euphoric pads in 'Reach my hand', followed by Mehen (aka Hadone) who maintains pace with his rendering 'Broken Whisper', with a disorentiating and melody driven expedition from Francois X next to switch up momentum. Promising upcoming Dutch producer Grace Dahl ensues with the merciless 'Vermilion Empire', while production virtuoso DYEN nods to EXHALE's roots in rave culture with 'Fantasy', a medley of spiked vocals and ethereal synths that maintain the energy until the final kick.

Ive always admired DJ Rush for one simple reason: he brings the Funk to Techno like no one else. His tracks are instantly recognizable. The Majors off-grid grooves are wild, unique and downright irresistible. You just have to move when they hit. Thats why Im beyond proud and excited to present my own take on DJ Rushs classic Get On Up. Its a track that captures everything I love about his sound. Even more special: For the first time in 20 years were also releasing the original (remastered) version by means of a strictly limited 12 picture disc. (Thomas Schumacher)
