Souler decks December dancefloors with three tinsel-trimmed house tracks, topping another tremendous, groove-filled 12 months for Clarisse. The hotshot Spaniard will leave you thirsting for more with a sunshine-seeking style sure to set off all end of year festivities, bidding to go big in 2025. Betting on a bass-buttered groove that cant miss, Souler starts his mission with the rattle of Meu Amor: an electric samba smoothly skimming across the club with its spell-casting Latin vox and focused key stabs both lifting crowds and providing club comforts. Souler then repeats the performance with the style and strength of Jungle Lights setting off a similar bassline swing, aiming a slightly bigger boot club-wards compared to the tiptoeing finesse of Meu Amor. Helped by the spicy, ghetto chick vocals giving a face full of attitude, it breaks down the beats to basics on the surface, but is definitely, defiantly one to hold onto until the lights come on. Wishing everyone a happy new year, funky finale The Night gets into it alongside Madrid compatriot, the real deal known as Red Effects: a vocal, processed soul, bass stepper with percussion popping off like corks counting down, this ones ready to reach the sky like its 11.59pm and ready to bring in another year of Clarisse domination.
Whats up Desert Hearts Family, I cant believe its been 10 years since I started Desert Hearts Records. In 2014, I took a leap of faith and started the label, a dream Id carried since I was a kid. Back then, no one wanted to sign my music. The sting of rejection ultimately caused the spark of determination—if no one else believed in my music, at least I would. Little did I know that decision would change my life in ways I could have never imagined. Desert Hearts had already begun to blossom as a movement in 2014—our community celebrating house, techno, and love—and the label felt like a natural extension of that spirit. It wasnt just about my music anymore; it was a chance to shine a light on the incredible artists in our family and bring together creators from around the world who shared our vision for something deeper than just the dance floor. Looking back, I could never have imagined how much this label would come to mean to me. Its been more than a platform; its been a bridge to some of the most extraordinary people Ive ever known. Its taught me about love, resilience, and the power of music that connects us in ways words never can. This 10th-anniversary compilation is more than just a celebration of the music. Its a celebration of every moment, every artist, and every heart that has made Desert Hearts what it is today. Its a tribute to the community thats grown with us, danced with us, and believed in this dream alongside me. Thank you for being a part of this journey. Heres to a decade of House, Techno, and Love—and the magic thats still to come. Love Always, Mikey Lion

Jesús Fernández is back on Toolroom Trax for one more time this year with another Afro/Latin club essential that he is fast becoming prolific for. Jesús Fernández has really came into his own this year and the label looks forward to building on the relationship with him into 2026 as he continues to make people feel good on the dancefloor with his powerful authentic Afro/Latin beats. Guayabú follows his recent trends perfectly, with his signature big tribal drums and earworms created from the percussion alone. His debut for Glasgow Underground is The Cat, a superb low-slung pumper. Its raw acid bumps and loopy low-end remind us of the mid-noughties when house music had to be filled with spiky electronics to get attention. Think Dusky Kid meets Teasing Mr Charlie with a topping of Miss Kitten, and youre en route to this fat-as-you-like floor shaker.

Draxxs remix of Basura Boyz & Avilo Backseat features an extremely groovy track airing on the minimal side with some captivating elements to keep you hooked. Most notably, the vocal is purposefully misplaced on the groove to augment the feel of the record giving a new spin on a well known sample. Mancodexs remix of Basura Boyz & Avilo Backseat is a much heavier and darked spin on this classic sample with big bass sounds and synths to push the track. The vocal has been reduced to half time to emphasize the groove and is really effective as a peak time track. Juos remix of Basura Boyz & Avilo Backseat is a true minimal record with stripped-back and to the point drum grooves for that authentic nominal feel. The vocal is very tastefully utilized to emphasize the builds and tucked away to accentuate the mindful unadorned nature of the drops.
Buogo is a Brazilian DJ and tech house producer who has been releasing since 2020. Last year, he appeared on our radar with killer cuts on labels like Witty Tunes & Nervous. However, it was his all-conquering thumper Rave It (from Sirus Hood & Manda Moors Wild Moods compilation on Mood Child) that firmly grabbed our attention. Its clever sound design and jacking vocals created a monster that hooked underground heads like Detlef and Deeper Purpose and big room mainstays like R3WIRE and Gettoblaster. His debut for us is the killer, 90s-rave-inspired Bring Down. Rapid-fire bass and slamming beats run the show, while a classic Casio keyboard hook delivers the breakdown magic—a big one.
