DYSTORTION Extrawelts Latest and Longest-Brewing Album Lands This December on Cocoon In this beautiful world marked by rising chaos, sometimes the simplest way to escape its troubles is through sonic relief. Germanys renowned electronic duo Extrawelt will offer exactly that with their 5th full-length album, DYSTORTION, via Cocoon Recordings this December. For over two decades, the humble duo behind Extrawelt, who shy away from making music for clicks, have been a steadfast presence in electronic music. Known as serious studio and tour-focused artists who craft timepiece albums, each a work of enduring craft, that go on to create atmospheric, out-of-the-box live acts, theyve been shaping and redefining electronica since their first release. DYSTORTION is their most diverse and evocative album to date. Imagined over six years and shaped by a world in flux through COVID, political upheavals, social media, and AI, it reflects the contrasts and twists weve all felt while offering surges of serenity and hope. From brooding tension to playful relief, it moves through different states in an evolved Extrawelt manner. The albums opening credit, Grand Départ, as if a cinematic prelude, invites us into a world of creeping bass, an explicitly Extrawelt sound thats synonymous with the anti-genre genre they work within. The albums second track, Clapland, sees Extrawelt joining forces with Jimi Jules, a name synonymous with excellence in electronic music, creating a rare collaboration that is felt in every note. Soon, the mood shifts into softer melodies as heard in Surrounded By Miracles, Hope Sounds Good, and Sir Stringalot, which bring bright euphorics to balance the darker moments in an album echoed by industrial influences. Later, as Dystortion (the albums title track) unfolds, were drawn into something few electronic artists can create: raw emotion. This is a gritty landscape as reflective as it is pulsing, glitchy, intense, and richly textured. DYSTORTION is a reflection of a complex, divided world, carried through dramatically with Extrawelts signature techno tension. Like the world right now, it is full of contradictions, surprises, and moments of introspection, an essential listen for fans of mature electronic music that may or may not need a reminder of why, after 20 years, were still listening.

Hello all you lovely people. As promised Ive got a few new slip sliders to get you all grooving and moving. Bit of a mix in styles across the three. Some more emotive vibes and some straight up bangers (theres always gotta be some bangers). Hopefully they have the desired effect and get you and anyone that you play them to pulling the stinkiest bass faces possible. OK enough of my blather. Go and listen to the damn things yourself and decide if you like them, rather than trying to work it out from reading a bloody press release you weirdos. All three tracks are produced and sculpted for the club. They want big sound systems and dark rooms. Close your eyes, hold hands and experience transcendental space flight...

In a convergence of two of the most celebrated names in contemporary electronic music, Karsten Pflum steps out on Central Processing Unit with the Liars EP. As anyone who has followed either Pflum's work for labels such as Worm Interface/Furthur Electronix or the Sheffield imprint's recent run of top-quality electro joints will have expected, this coming together proves to be a match made in heaven. What we have here is a tour de force of modern machine music. With Liars, Pflum achieves that rare feat of making something that is at once boundary-pushing yet also thrillingly immediate, his attention to detail shining through with each well-placed snare hit or leftfield structural choice. Equally apt for home listening or dancefloor deployment, Liars is a delight for heads and hedonists alike. Constantly evolving while also cleaving to a relentless groove throughout, opener 'WAN1' is a brilliant scene-setter for Liars. The track slinks between sections of seething post-Drexciyan acid and eerie vignettes which balance out haunted house synth licks with the sort of punishing bass blasts that recall early grime classics like Youngstar's 'Pulse X'. A sly shift of key halfway through the track only serves to redouble 'WAN1's restless brilliance. After 'WAN1', 'LOLA' represents something of a gear-switch. The track's wiggly opening bassline is a red herring - make no mistake that we're fully into braindance territory on this one, the drums skittering across the mix as Pflum fills the track out with jungle-adjacent delays and softly insistent synth pads. As 'LOLA' goes on, blurts of synth and some stiffening in the drum work pushes the track into pure rhythm workout territory. First B-side 'MOUSFOLK' somewhat splits the difference between Liars' A-sides. This track has 'WAN1's unyielding stomp and prominent acid bass line, but the helter-skelter drum breaks and wandering keyboard lines are very much pulling from 'LOLA's zanier energy. As with the other joints here, 'MOUSFOLK' is elevated by Pflum's composerly touch, the Dane frequently throwing in new sonic tidbits - a skippy snare tattoo, a single-note synth loop which sounds like a hovering spaceship - that reinvigorate the mix. Pflum's musicality is at the fore once more on closer 'BALM'. For the first section of 'BALM', a rich and sombre keyboard fugue, you'd be hard pressed to say whether you're listening to a producer of club music or a contemporary classical maestro. The way Pflum builds this central motif up with deft broken-beat drum programming, a wheezing synth countermelody and distant vocal sighs is equally delightful, the whole track coming off like a kindred spirit of the electronica-infused experiments on Radiohead's 2000 masterwork Kid A. A brilliantly unorthodox collection of electro-braindance hybrids, Liars is a barnstorming Central Processing Unit debut from the seasoned Karsten Pflum. RIYL: AFX, Silicon Scally, DMX Krew, Matmos

Reissue of the long out of print Virtual Geisha album by Japanese Telecom (aka Dopplereffekt / Der Zyklus) first released in 2001. A further exploration of the culture and technologies from the land of the rising sun by Heinrich Mueller and a worthy successor to the Japanese Telecom EP from 1999. This time the inspiration is more adult and Manga orientated and even goes a little more 'poppy' with Y.M.O insprired tracks. On Virtual Geisha there's also a first glimpse of the directions he'd take his other projects in the future on tracks like 'Enter Mrs. Suzuki' and 'Japanese Matrix'. While still keeping true to his Detroit Hi-Tech Machine Funk roots with Electro anthems like 'The Making Of Ultraman' and 'Beta Capsule'. Remastered and re-issued for the first time since its original release. Essential!!!

Tesseract 1 is the first remix EP taken from debut album "Corpus Hypercubus" by JESLOVESACID, the figure head behind Vitalik Recordings. The music from the album was described as "IDM with a Balearic twist" by Resident Advisor and was picked up by a wide range of selectors. Tesseract 1 employs some heavy hitters on remix duties, Mathew Jonson and brother Nathan Jonson team up under their Midnight Operator moniker for a high octane acid techno workout, the production is immense as you would expect from the duo and they have managed to retain the ethereal chords of the original track (which also features on the EP) whilst producing a peak time dance floor weapon. Appleblim takes things into dreamier territory with a pitched down breakbeat remix of "Philosophy", a sublime ode to blissed out hardcore, it's an enthralling dub masterpiece, another instant classic to add to the collection. Finally there is the anonymous "Wax Works Edit" a dub acid edit aimed squarely at the floor, rounding first vinyl 12" from the JESUSLOVESACID project.
Returning for their third collaboration, Felix Da Housecat and Kristin Velvet join forces again for 'Cats Love Velvet III' on Berlin-based label, Arms & Legs. The ironcally titled 'Not Hard' thunders out of the blocks with its muscular kick, an infectious piano melody quickly appearing giving the track a gripping emotional depth, this is raw techno with soul for darker floors. On the flip 'Shake that Shit' is a masterclass in funk-fuelled electro. Cats Love Velvet III follows the success of part II 'Acid Picky / Swing Special' which reached #1 in the Traxsource techno charts after receiving BBC Radio 1 play, premiering on Billboard and Mixmag respectively and gaining wide-spread DJ support from Len Faki, The Black Madonna & Dave Clarke.
Getting started is the hardest part. But once you do, the thread spins on, thoughts take flight, and music flows. Sometimes, though, you may feel hollow — not empty. In those moments, ideas seem to come from somewhere above. They take you by the hand and lead you to a secret room, where youre ready to mix ingredients and work magic, in your own image and likeness. Distributed by Label Engine - www.label-engine.com

MDP is back on his imprint JEAHMON! after a few very successful releases yet in 2025. Besides Planet Pulse, Brooklyn On Acid or Rockstah now its time to open the doors for his next floor filler: Candy. But please dont expect any sweets inside this monster, although the cover triggers. The title track is pure madness and Marc checks the right pulse with his finger which gets you into that special mood to fly above the ground. Its a zero sugar track but full of caffeine. A raw acidish Indie-Tech, bass focused banger for the dance floor. The beats go unz unz unz unz - feel the rhythm running through your soul! And your feet wont stop moving, your face wont stop smiling. Magical fact: Your heart quickly goes to 160 pulse, even if the tracks are below 130 bpm. Nelly on the flip is a modern Electro Breakbeat track, providing timeless vibes. Weird basslines, dubsteppy elements, glitchy vocals, Techno vibe in Housy curtains. With this 2-tracker single release JEAHMON! again provides music to remember, creating highlights instead of steady loops. Receiving energy without eating sugar: Pick your sweets but better expect a spicy taste! The beast at its best... lets get the basslines rolling. Late summer hotness. Marc cooks. The aquarium is bubbling!

Plugging directly into the raw, pulsating currents beneath the surface, Terrestrial Access Network unveils their latest seven-track EP, TAN Summer Vol I. Brad Lee returns w/ a fantastic project put together by Chicagos Ronnie Vineyard. In the shadowy depths of the underground, a movement known as The Usual Suspects has emerged, driven by the enigmatic figure Brad Lee. Renowned for his innovative and rebellious approach to music, Lee has crafted sounds that resonate deeply with the hidden society that thrives beneath the surface—a society disillusioned by the world above. His music serves as anthems for this community, addressing their struggles, dreams, and resilience. The group navigates this subterranean world through an old train system, cleverly repurposed as their lifeline for clandestine gatherings and evading capture. However, such assemblies and expressions have been deemed illegal, and the authorities are relentless in their pursuit of disbanding the group. Clinging to outdated tactics of surveillance and infiltration, the police force battles to suppress The Usual Suspects influence w/ a brief capture in Chicago. Yet, with every step taken to silence them, the groups defiance and Lees artistry continue to inspire an ever-growing underground following. Distributed by Label Engine - www.label-engine.com

Recognition is one of the oldest Polish record labels releasing electronic music on vinyl. After over 25 years of continuous activity and dozens of records, its time for a recapitulation - and time to honour all the artists associated with the label. Jacek Sienkiewicz, an uncompromising artist and tireless promoter of new sounds, decided to invite almost all producers and musicians who have ever been guests at Recognition to collaborate. Recognition 25 is a musical journey, starting with the club hit Drifting by Jacek Sienkiewicz and ending with the ethereal ambient of Giro Araña. In between, we find a whole palette of colours and shades of modern electronics, from proper club tracks to technologically and compositionally advanced experiments. The first record of the compilation is definitely intended for DJs - tracks tailored for parties are presented by Chino, Jurek Przeździecki, Michał Wolski, the DWA duo, and Etiop. The second record is much more experimental - here Robert Piotrowicz, Porosty, Ostrowski, Jackname Trouble and Sroczyński present their singular visions. Both worlds come together via tracks recorded by Jacek with his friends - Max Loderbauer, AtomTM and Ricardo Villalobos. The compilation clearly shows how diverse, yet creative and original, the artists who have collaborated with Recognition over the past 25 years are. It is also a perfect example of how contemporary electronic music connects, inspires and paves new paths. And when created with heart and passion - it becomes timeless.

A warm welcome to the famous duo from Brazil. Camila and Rene are Binaryh. We are pleased to welcome the South Americans on JEAHMON! Records! Binaryh delivered an outstanding track here: whispering vocals with a peak time beat that gives no time to breathe because there is power from the beginning to the end. Binaryh celebrate their way of thinking and feeling Electronic Music and this is what both tell us with a smiling face about their production: Sarcasm really conveys what were looking for. It makes people dance and there is no time to pick up the phone. The opposite on the flip side is a contrast given to the Original Mix. Marc DePulse made it cinematic with a mix of Burial vibes and Breakbeat moments. This is a typical MDP „thinking around the corner edition which is surprising with fresh sounds and elements. So lets keep the mobile in our pockets and focus on the flow! Happy dancing & feeling. Lets turn the music a bit louder please!
The Vile is a dark electro EP featuring three powerful tracks. The title track, The Vile, dives into a sinister soundscape of biochemical horror with pulsating beats and eerie synths. Another track gets a fresh reprise with new production layers, while a remastered favorite brings renewed energy. This EP blends heavy electronic elements with haunting atmospheres, delivering a twisted sonic journey.
A hugely talented artist from Toulouse, France, consistently delivering high-quality music. Previously featured on labels like Brique Rouge, Kanikule, and the legendary COD QR Label, he masterfully blends hypnotic rhythms with atmospheric melodies, crafting immersive soundscapes that consistently resonate with top-tier quality.
