If you could shrink yourself down and ride a photon through the circuitry of a synthesizer, you might land somewhere inside Gliesses The World In A Telescope. This EP doesnt just play - it orbits, spirals, and occasionally glitches out of gravitys grasp, scattering beats like meteor showers and letting melodies flicker in and out of focus. Gliesse approaches each track like a cosmic puzzle, soldering together fragments of electro and IDM until they hum with alien logic and unexpected warmth. On the track Radio, a collaboration with Lokrum, the signal bends even further, as Lokrums presence weaves new frequencies and textures into the mix, amplifying the sense of discovery. The result is less a collection of songs and more an invitation: climb inside the lens, twist the dial, and watch familiar stars rearrange themselves into constellations youve never seen before. www.sciencecult.com
With *Habibi Part II*, VAGAN pushes the boundaries by fusing gritty electro-punk energy into a vivid weave of Eastern motifs. Instead of merely blending sounds, this album dares to provoke, layering aggressive rhythms with melodic glimpses of tradition. The result feels raw, pulsing, and refreshingly unpredictable — each track standing as a bold experiment rather than a predictable fusion.
Autofreak is a dark and driving electro-techno track originally released in 2001 produced by John Selway under his Semblance Factor alias. Selway brought out this track from the archives for a remix challenge on his Techno Saturdays livestream & feedback session with Christian Smith. We picked the top three electro and top three techno remixes from the challenge submissions to feature on this release. From dark rolling hypnotic grooves to sharp edged machine funk, all six mixes make up a strong and varied collection of new takes on Selways underground classic.
We back with the new End of Era EP from Vondkreistan. From the start, Night And Day Movement provides high energy, classic new beat and reformation industrial line. A minimalistic voice gives severity to the powerful sound. The sirens bring the heat as the whole thing builds to a tense and frantic peak. The release comes with a remix from Death Decay Magic, Turbo Recordings artist Black Light Smoke, whose sound sees him turn Trust Machine into a classic techno body music.
MY NAME IS DJ K-1 (Original Mix) Keith Tucker Aka DJ K-1 comes back with his original minimalistic electro style with vocals and vocoder loveliness. The ep harkens back to his original K-1 Agenda ep days of the classic Direct Beat label which spawned the first of Tuckers many aliases. Tucker takes this first original mix into a more Kraftwerking style with his infections and Unforgettable vocoder work. MY NAME IS DJ K-1 (DMX Krew Mix) DMX Krews Ed Upton takes his stab at a more sample bass mix in step with Tuckers seminal work In the Detroit Techno Bass group Aux88. The DMX Krew never disappoint Uptons bassline ads a dark menacing mix. MY NAME IS DJ K-1 (Beat Mix) A Loop bass mix of straight funk and vocal to blend and create that funky Detroit funk that mixes with anything. MY NAME IS DJ K-1 (Detroit Jit Mix) Detroit Jit mix has full vocal rap track with a message. Detroit Jitters and DJs will eat this up. MY NAME IS DJ K-1 (SPOCK Mix) Spacey minimal bassline with that eerie string that makes the floor move as SPOCK would say its logical MY NAME IS DJ K-1 (NAVI Mix) K-1s takes this mix more in a bonus beat montage of echoes from the ever-present synth bassline that moves the beat in a hypnotic state with the help of NAVI.
Funk on!!! My Friend Darios electro-breakbeat hit Tellaro gets remixed by SIRS into a wobbly, psyched-out dub disco and breakbeat chugger. The zippy synths and shimmering keys are underpinned with a taught bassline and playful vocals that bring great fun and irresistible party vibes to any set.
Legendary Dutch producer Stefan Robbers returns to De:tuned with his first new Terrace album in almost 15 years entitled Branches. In the early 90s, the well-respected Eevo Lute originator built a firm connection with the first wave of Detroit producers and since then he has put the city of Eindhoven on the worldwide techno map. This new 10-track album represents the trademark Terrace sound, expertly produced throughout extensive hardware studio sessions and completely mesmerizing from start to finish. A classic yet innovative exploration of Motor City techno with a unique Dutch twist. Al White and Kevin Foakes (Openmind, DJ Food, Ninja Tune) created all the graphic work. Mastered by Matt Colton at Metropolis. . Stay tuned!
Heres a new release from Florklang Records. We are releasing sharp electro tracks by up-and-coming track maker A/Filatov. In addition to his 4 tracks, we have a great edgy remix by CH415, who also releases on Furthur Electronix and Who is Paula, and the best electronic and bizarre remix track by V0YAGER S0LAR SYSTEM.
Reel By Reals Surkit is a Detroit techno classic that has gained mythical status since it first appeared on a limited white label release on Juan Atkins Metroplex offshoot, Interface in 1990. Giving a spotlight back to this highly sought after 12 we are pleased to team up with French vinyl specialists, Yoyaku and present this timeless record, remastered and remixed for 2025. In keeping with the tracks early Detroit roots we feature remixes from Motor City legends Keith Tucker (aka DJ-K1) and Strand, with added dubplate pressure provided by DnB lynchpin, Calibre. Further remix support also comes from a UK-Detroit triumvirate of EPMs Oliver Way and Ben Long (Space DJz) and Jon Dixon (UR). Detroit techno veteran Martin Bonds aka Reel By Real remains one the citys most under the radar yet influential Detroit techno producers. Often uncredited when it comes its history, he was a frequent collaborator with the Belleville Three (Juan Atkins / Kevin Saunderson / Derrick May) and you might recall him from the classic Marty Hardy mixes on KMS. However, it was in 1993 that Surkit was to have a profound impact on the Drum n Bass scene when LTJ Bukem lifted the main synth line from the track and used it on his game-changing Atlantis (I Need You). Again uncredited, Martin Bonds production craft helped to spearhead the UK liquid scene that put Bukem front and centre. Now its time to put Reel By Real back under the lights as we celebrate this Detroit techno masterpiece. With a fresh remaster for todays dancefloors from Lad @ Caduceus Studios on both the 1990 original and 1991 remix we also present 5 remixes to add extra shine on this glorious gem. As the man behind Puzzlebox Records, Optic Nerve, DJ-K1, Alien FM and former member of Aux88, Keith Tucker should need little introduction to anyone with an interest in Detroit techno and electro. Here he teams up with Strand (the Detroit group comprised of Brian Bonds (Martins brother), Brian Boyer and Kech Harrington) to deliver three faithful remixes that keep the originals deep Detroit spirit burning bright. Northern Irelands Dominick Martin, better known as Calibre is highly regarded for his influence on the liquid funk style of drum and bass, which was partially named after his distinct production style. So in keeping with the tracks double genre influence he gets his hands on Surkit, but this time, takes a turn into UK garage territory with a mix of 2-Step sonic brilliance. Finally EPMs Oliver Way, Ben Long (Space DJz) and Jon Dixon get their hands dirty with a dark and tough techno excursion that crowns this homage to one of technos most under-acknowledged greats. The title Surkit was a play on the name of the synth patch (circuit) that I programmed/edited in the Kawai sound module used for the topline in the track. I am impressed with the production & mastering of all the remixes, and the remastering of the original tracks on this upcoming release. Many thanks to EPM & Yoyaku for approaching me with the concept and making it come to fruition. Martin Bonds / Reel by Real
An exclusive item which collects the previous three IMPROX releases. This releases comes in a special designed gatefold sleeve with a techno comic on the inside, written and designed by Delta Funktionen.
It all began with “Have Sword, Will Travel“, an EP that started the „armed“ journey with its many different ups and downs. But the label is still here and celebrates its 10th anniversary today. Besides being pretty emotional about the fact that this journey is still continuing after so many years, I’m also looking back at an intense period of time full of doubts, disappointments and mistakes. Especially social media leads us to believe that every life is so exciting, spectacular and unique and that you are doing something wrong compared to all of this glamorous self-promotion. If you really start comparing to these blissful images, things feel miserable very fast. But instead, the healthiest things are to just be yourself, to follow your vision no matter how slow and complicated things evolve and to avoid doing things that feel wrong and factitious. And because of that, everything is right where it should be for Shaw Cuts and it’s still so much fun and exciting to run this project. I’m trying my best to keep things going and to keep things fresh & exciting - hopefully for another decade. Thank you all for the genuine appreciation and support of all the music that got released over the past 10 years, for having an open mind for all the different projects and for helping the label to grow and develop a certain brand recognition and identity. Without you none of that would have been possible. Have Sword, Will Travel.

Polytunnel debuts on Analog Concept after a string of records on the likes of Alien Communications, Seventh Sign Recordings and Were Going Deep. On this two tracker he delivers his trademark acid-inflected melodic electro. Its pads, its melody, its busted electro rhythms grinding through the smoke. No polish, no pretense-just sweat and static and something that hits where it counts. The machines are drunk and dancing again.
Bass Junkie - A Sound For Sore Ears EP We Are Borg 2025 (D Quad Hive Mind Mix) Bass Force Electron Spin Resonance Proceed The year is 2025, 30 years on from the release of the original We Are Borg, Bass Junkies first vinyl release under his Cybernet Systems alias. This seminal Electro Bass track, originally featuring additional production from the legendary Dynamix II out of Florida, was the first release on the short lived Panic Trax label. Using the same sounds salvaged from the original SP1200 disc, Bass Junkie has remixed this classic for the next generation Next up is Bass Force, delivering a heavy assault on the senses with its soaring synths and deadly Bass, pushing the envelope and bringing forth a new take on the Electro Bass sound. Flip to side 2 for Electron Spin Resonance, a DMX driven track of relentless pounding rhythms, tape style edits and a ferocious marching bassline. Finally Bass Junkie takes us back to the old school with Proceed, a homage to the 80s sound and the early trax that pushed the boundaries of Electro in its infancy and beyond End transmission

A noughties classic, an earworming anthem, an eventual schoolyard ringtone favourite; Roman Flügels once inescapable Gehts Noch? celebrates turning 21 on Running Back, refreshed and remixed by a scene-spanning set of artists paying keen tribute to its absurdist energy. Casually released as part of a Cocoon Records compilation in 2004, Gehts Noch? rose from the depths with the support of Sven Väth, becoming an international phenomenon, conquering and uniting the dominant scenes of minimal and electroclash alike. Some have said it laid the foundations for the Dirty Dutch house scene, albeit from over the border in Germany. Well known for injecting much-needed levity into the contemporary club landscape via her Live From Earth parties, DJ Gigola adds additional firepower to Gehts Noch?, inducing a planet-shaking kick drum, before sending the tracks signature bleeps into nonsensical Morse code for even greater pleasure. Another rave culture connoisseur, Luca Lozano, offers two alternate takes; his Technocs mix rolls deep with additional cowbells, robotic voice commands and stadium-sized claps. Meanwhile, the Gehts Garage Remix draws a savvy connection with the originals as-yet-untapped UK funky potential. Peder Mannerfelt, who straddles the line between innovation, functionality, humor and seriousness quite like its original author, takes Gehts Noch? to truly wuthering heights. His remix builds unexpected drama and catharsis around the enduring riff, before a collaboration with studio partner Par Grindvik as Aasthma spins the club out with a glossy, anime-tinted take, full of whimsy and colour. And while the digital release of Gehts Noch? also spans interpretations from Audion, Domnik Eulberg & Moguai, this vinyl release presses Steve Angello vs Whos Who remix to wax, that which helped take Gehts Noch? out of the underground and into the stratosphere. Twenty years on, and Flügels offbeat hit is always ascending. Love it or hate it, Gehts Noch? will still get you good. words by John Loveless
We can hardly believe it, but Connaisseur is turning 20 this year! It all began in early November 2005 with our debut release, Patrick Chardronnets Eve By Day. Not only was it our first track, but it also became our first hit, setting the tone for everything to come. Now, hundreds of tracks later, were proudly entering our anniversary year. Running Connaisseur has been a journey, from managing a booking agency to organizing events and festivals. But our true passion has always been releasing beautiful music — a passion that shaped what we proudly call The Sound of Connaisseur. Though our releases have ventured into different styles over the years, theres always been a unifying thread — a distinctive emotional quality, a warmth paired with the freedom to break away from convention. We were pioneers of the first wave of melodic house, a sound that emerged from the minimalist scene of the mid-2000s before melody made its return. As Groove Magazine once put it, we were the house counterpart to James Holdens legendary Border Community. To celebrate our anniversary, weve gathered musical gifts from some of our beloved artists — tracks that truly resonate with us and embody The Sound of Connaisseur. Introducing The Presents, a series of releases leading up to our official anniversary in November. The series kicks off with our Offenbach friends Shayde, aka Delenz and Richard IV. With previous releases under this moniker,or in various combinations,on labels such as Live At Robert Johnson, Rawax, Moodmusic, Connaisseur, Delenzs own label Turbolenz, and an upcoming releases on Cocoon Recordings, Shayde have prepared a special gift for our anniversary. Two tracks that truly capture the spirit and sound of Connaisseur. Karri Otschi is a timeless, stomping yet subtle techno track that would also work beautifully in a more uptempo house set. Meanwhile, Under Clean Blankets is a stunning, acid-infused electro tune. A genuine Connaisseur release through and through.
This particular lead track has been sitting around since around 2010 and Ive been playing it on and off ever since, thinking This really needs to come out at some point, but its never happened, until now...well, you cant rush these things can you. :) Pain Struck Stanley Dumb Emerging from the hazy, post-peak hours of a warehouse afterparty, Pain Struck Stanley Dumbs origin story is as singular as their sound. It was 7am. Christopher D Ashley, drawn by the raw, unhinged energy emanating from the decks, found Doctor Luke presiding over a neuro- heavy drumnbass set, pants somewhere south of the equator, an eyepatch adding a touch of the surreal. A shared vision, forged in the crucible of dawns disarray, sparked the formation of PSSD. Their mission: To craft timeless electro, a sonic lineage tracing back to the hallowed halls of Drexciya, UR, and Juan Atkins. Eschewing the ephemeral allure of transient sound design, PSSD prioritises the elemental, the structural, the enduring. Their sound is a distillation of pure electro essence, a blueprint stripped back to its fundamental components. Their latest offering, Breakfast At Brians, marks their vinyl debut on Radioactive Mans label Asking For Trouble. This record is the culmination of their process, a masterclass in minimalist electro, a sonic blueprint designed to resonate long after the last kick drum fades.
Phaedrus is the alias of Dutch DJ and producer Joris Kamma, a veteran of the 90s electronic underground with past releases on labels like Medical Records, Peloton Musique, and Innerflight Music. His new EP, Deep Fried Circuits, serves up a heady mix of quirky and deep electro-breakbeat sounds. The release features two standout originals Fritz and Chips and Diode Donuts striking a clever balance between experimental electronic elements and dancefloor drive. It also includes an acid-laced remix of Fritz and Chips by D.Vices, amping up the energy while keeping the originals quirky soul intact.
LINK Audio welcomes a forward-thinking release by Dany Rodriguez with the Future Vision EP a two-track journey blending emotional depth and dancefloor energy. A-side: Future Vision A A colorful and immersive electro cut, Future Vision A rides on a tight rhythmic foundation layered with deep pads and a futuristic bassline. The track pulses with a visionary spirit, evolving through cinematic clips that accentuate key moments and draw the listener deeper into its narrative. As the lyric says, The vision of the future, this is the answer, encapsulating the message and mindset of the track a forward-looking statement both sonically and conceptually.
Prepare to dive into a world of atmospheric sounds and creative sampling as Last Magpie drops his debut mixtape, Battle of the Forgotten Mystics. Drawing influence from a wide range of sources, Battle of the Forgotten Mystics transports you through a sonic journey where kung fu, iconic daytime television personalities and witty skits collide creating a soundscape that is both playful and introspective-perfect for those late-night listening sessions. Whether youre in the mood for hypnotic rhythms or unexpected surprises, Battle of the Forgotten Mystics delivers on all fronts.
Change is coming on 27th May: International Chrome, the label run by Jensen Interceptor and Assembler Code, will release the debut long-player by German-Nigerian artist Retromigration, through its Data Planet cassette series. The album is a multi-genre trip through the artists memories of the music of his life, featuring collaborations with afro-techno wiz Yazzus, Irish electro producer Ngoni Egan, and Zimbawean DJ Passion Deez. From our first listen, the album really struck a chord with us, as Retromigration (real name Malik) took us into a new sonic sphere. Hes become known for his strong hold on all things house these last few years, but here hes raised the tempo and finessed new rhythms like a seasoned vet, delivering this fast-paced groove extravaganza; a masterclass of afro-futurism. With Change, we see Malik traverse multiple genres whilst simultaneously giving a beautiful insight into his Nigerian and Ghanaian roots. This execution of funk, soul & fast-paced groove is really made evident on tracks like Rum & Lime, Ebi, Black Excellence & the titled track itself, Change. The idea around the release is to show a different side of my music…influences of footwork, jungle, African/Caribbean rhythms and samples all still evolving around jazz, soul and hip hop influences.I also wanted to emphasise and celebrate Black artists in the electronic music sphere and therefore have collaborations with close friend Ngoni Egan and Passion Deez as well as a super special remix by my cousin Yazzus, so its a real friends and family affair. These themes of celebration, amalgamation and nostalgia are further reflected in the cut n paste style album artwork featuring photos from the artists childhood. The limited edition tape comes in a transparent teal cassette.
For the latest Klasse Wrecks release, the label combine with Japans finest festival and events crew Rainbow Disco Club to collaboratively present WRECKSRDC. Overrocket were an electro-pop band from Tokyo that enjoyed a grip of great releases in the early 2000s while signed to Neon Discs and its parent label Aten. During a digging session Luca Lozano discovered the forgotten tracks Duralumin and Shadow of the Sun and immediately set out trying to contact the bands members to arrange a re-release and remix. A few months of patient trying, the connection was finally made and wheels were set in motion. Musically the EP conjures up perfectly the sonics of that time, a grey area between analog convention and the unexplored territories of new digital freedom. Shadow Of The Sun is electro-pop perfection, with breezy vocals and a bouncing beat that sounds like nothing else around...past, present or future. Duralumin is a more dancey collection of blips and beats, one that will make sense in the current return to early 2000s aesthetics. To round out the release and propel it into 2025, KW label bosses take a track each and interpret in their own way. Lozano revisits his electro roots with two remixes of Shadow of the Sun, distorted 808s and growling 101 basslines provide a simple backdrop for the perfect vocals. Mr. Ho takes Duralumin into a more driving and pacey direction, upping the energy and excitement with fast percussion and a huge side chained breakdown that recalls the unbridled rawness of the early 2000s, when everything was just a little bit more fun. Keeping within the confines of Japan and in an effort to bring everything full circle, the label enlisted Japanese artist Gonno to master the tracks for an updated modern sound. The tracks themselves being mastered a few miles from where they were originally penned over 20 years ago.
Olsvanger joins Craigie Knowes for The Core EP. 4 sophisticated club tracks spanning the spectrum of the Olsvanger sound. On June 27, 2025, a long-dormant signal reactivates from Hamburgs hidden places: Helena Hauff and F#X return as Black Sites with R4 on Tresor Records-their first full-length album and the first release under the moniker since 2014. Like a hieroglyphic recently discovered and translated, R4 feels more like a long-awaited resumption than a comeback. Recorded to tape with minimal editing or post-production the record is a classic example of the symbiotic relationship that can come from the interaction of human and machine. This punk ethos isnt invoked through distortion alone, but through method; in the albums breaking from the received wisdom of hardness tethered to speed as most of the tougher pieces are lower BPM and vice versa (with one notable exception in the mind-melting stomp of BLOKK). Across ten tracks, Black Sites traverse a landscape where genre dissolves into intention. It migrates through electros danceability, acid houses corrosion, and into the liminal realm of machine funk-a genre coined by Andrew Weatherall, which sounds like the results of technology dreaming of soul where the emphasis is on live execution, on immediacy over perfection-a sound forged in the act of creating, not polishing. In a 2013 interview, around the time of the first Black Sites EP, Hauff was quoted as saying that she wants things to fit together properly, but on another level, I really want them to make sense together. That principle animates R4: The albums form reveals itself in time, with each movement echoing and amplifying the others to create a synergistic whole. From the opening crawl of C4 (a name that like the music foreshadows the explosions to come) to the end-of-the-night bliss of MOTHERJAM via the intense peaks of BLOKK, 707, and classic acid track 3D its clear that R4 is a work made with serious intent; a refutation of a world where streaming has made the two-minute single the dominant musical form again. R4 demands immersion, not just attention. It is not a collection of tracks, but a singular, recursive experience: a mirror in which sound and listener repeatedly rediscover one another.
Stanny Abram, the Slovenian production virtuoso known for his prolific output and genre-defying style, once again asserts his influence within the electro-music scene. Spanning over 17 minutes, the three-track collection includes two new gems, Symphony of Shadows and Neon Mirage, complemented by an instrumental version of Symphony of Shadows. Abram delivers his signature sound through hypnotic arrangements, pulsating basslines, elusive vocal elements, and carefully sculpted spatial effects. The result evokes a futuristic atmosphere inspired by cyberpunk aesthetics, infusing the music with an irresistible energy that commands the dancefloor.
Zeta Reticula and Helga Neuer return for their second and final collaborative EP on Mechatronica, with an outstanding collection of interplanetary electro rollers for the mind, body and floor. In loving memory of, and dedicated to, Helga Neuer aka. Damjan Bizilj.

We are transported back to the golden era of Cold Wave here. The opening track, Against the Wall, fuses acid-driven electro with a refined take on classic genre elements, underscored by a sci-fi-inspired narrative. The result feels like a lost masterpiece—unearthed, restored, and revitalized to its full sonic potential. The duo proves their precision and versatility with Deal with It, weaving together intricate breakbeats, psychedelic textures, and subtle dub influences. The track delivers an immersive energy primed for the dance floor while maintaining an experimental edge. The release concludes with Mechanistic Chains, a track that straddles the intensity of chemical beats and the atmospheric sheen of synth-wave. Layered with a cinematic, almost horror-tinged aesthetic, it serves as a fitting resolution and a compelling tease of whats to come from these forward-thinking producers. The Gone Rogue debut on ZEN DNA is a statement of intent, proving that electronic music remains boundless in the hands of those willing to challenge its conventions.

The fast track to long lasting electronic prowess begins with Fasme Crying Robots a fusion of atmosphere, permeating pad emotions, electro and even some breaks layers all serenaded by choice bits of dialogue and analogue phone dials and full of stimulating style. Navigation continues with CCO Solar Sail where ominous waves of percussion driven House prevail, beneath moody analogue acid basslines heavier than whales, while its chords leave the listener in a hypnotic groove spell. We continue to fill your cup of tea adding the nutritious ingredients from the mysterious duo UNWONTED with Frontier; its an all out electrofunk affair, punchy and layered with sharp claps, dark dialogues, and an ice cold acid marinated bassline that will heat up the dance floors when it attacks. The Ep concludes with Serge Geyzel Flash a photographic listening experience into relentless electrobass full of atmosphere, fine highs in sonic experimentation, and a doomsday bassline that bangs the speakers and your mind. Curated carefully for plenty of encores, Analog Concepts Various Artists 3 is here to captivate the souls and floors.
D.Vices, with remix support from Centrikal, returns to Particle Music with Part Seventeen - a deep dive into modern electro. Fusing driving bass, shadowy textures, and punchy drums, Cryogenic channels classic machine funk through a futuristic lens. Both the original and Centrikals remix of Sixteen Digits blend acid-tinged synths, razor-sharp percussion while applying maximum low-end pressure! Moody, cinematic, and unapologetically underground!! Top shelf.
Mistress 02 shelters three tracks that typify the approach of Mistress Recordings as a multifaceted home for house, techno and everything in between. The EP starts with Mercy. The bouncing bass and classy hi-hats introduce a purist old-school house monster. When the wistful vocals are dropped, the loop creates a mantra-like ritual begging for forgiveness. Haunting melody! The Darkness changes the mood and draws you into dusky environment. But Juxta Position isnt interested in blind cruelty. Accompanied by a knocking bass, the track unfolds a veil in which you might get lost in easily. With its forceful tune this track sounds like youre hearing a soundsystem thats in constant movement. Kicks mask as rim shots spread a tense and thrilling groove. Mazury finishes Mistress 02 perfectly, coming from a more experimental corner. This retro futuristic Detroit-influenced electro trip not only harbors some break beats but primarily colorful and wheeling synths. With its rising and diverging sounds and patterns, this one doesnt settle down. Dont call it hectic; its a diversified journey like the entire release.

Volume 4 of the XY recombination series once again has four contemporary electro masters each rework a track from the TRUST labels extensive catalogue. Detroit electro legend DJ Dijital leads the way, breaking down DJ Glows classic Whoami from 2002 in his unmistakable MPC warfare fashion. Veteran Vienna electro duo Microthol deliver a spacious and austere cover version of J/V/N Machines Somewhere Tonight in what may well be its final ever transmission. Alex Cortex is both a pioneer of electro and minimalism, and his rework combines the two, stripping down Honokida by /DL/MS/ to its bare-bones emotional core. Lastly, French electro virtuoso Luxus Varta brings out the sentimental funk of Populists Psychometric Profiling in his subtle rework.

MORFEiN - ANTIBODY A fractured dream of rhythm and resistance. MORFEiN merges electros machine pulse with breakbeats raw momentum-glitching between control and chaos. Deep bass, jagged percussion, and warped synths collide in a dystopian dance. The sound of movement, mutation, and the unknown. Key tracks such as VOZKAL and GOT DA BASS dig in with a tight bass line and ruthless beat, while HANOI HANNAH and TIKI TACHA capture with dynamic drive and hypnotic synths. Five years is a long time. For many, 2020 seems like a lifetime ago. It was in this fabled year that Ekman last appeared on Shipwrec, Kronkel marking a shift from the blackened acid blooms to more considered, yet unsettling, sounds. It is from this audio fount the dutchman returns with Elixer. Throbs of bass and rasping snares shear a path for smoother tones in Alruin Met Cranberry. Injecting the ever-present sense of unease, a menacing melody stalks the constricting recesses as paranoia takes hold. These inner alcoves are further explored in the disturbing Doornappel Met Peer. Spectral synthlines don a thin shimmering veil, warbling notes tremble while beats offer little relief in this unstable outing. Aquatic undercurrents introduce the flip, a sharp drum slicing through the burbling bass of Codeine En Rozemarijn. From this murky soup, a string ascends as Ekman toys with contrasting tones to produce a piece of acid dipped elegance. Shattered drums pierce the ambient fog of the finale. Alsem Met Anijs blends intricate percussion with soulful strings to produce a hauntingly beautiful dreamscape to finish Ekmans heady brew.

This debut release is a collaboration between two renowned Dutch labels, Zodiak Commune Records and Shipwrec, both with decades of rich history. This collaboration fused experimental electronics driven by Rolands TB 303s with IDM, electro, and jungle influences, aiming to provide thought-provoking music for both the dance floor and relaxed listening amid todays oversaturated dance music scene. Enter the Ghost Ship ep, is the work of G303, a Zodiak Commune Records resident producer, stepping out of his hard acid comfort zone to explore a more emotional, dystopian, and sophisticated sound. The EP kicks off appropriately with The Beginning, a fast-paced musical journey through the producers mind, with the TB 303 as one of the main characters in the story. No more titles left starts off slow and quiet, only to build up into some nineties inspired IDM vibes, featuring the famous Think break. Airport test - a collaboration with Zodiak Communes other resident producer Dima Gaströller - is probably the most dance floor orientated track on the EP, with the deep 808 style kick drum leading you through a dystopian field of drums, eerie synths and, as expected, a 303 bass line. Monday again is a deep and dark serenade to the least cheerful day of the week, but youll soon discover that even Mondays can be inspiring. Closing track Jan calling was inspired by the beauty and tranquillity of G303s home base of Ibiza in the month of January. When all the tourists are gone and only the locals are left on the island, it truly becomes a piece of paradise. The crystal clear waters and deserted beaches bring an unprecedented calm before a new summer frenzy.
Cosmic Tribe presents Odisea en el Abismo, the second release by EC13. In this two-track EP, the artist delves deeper into his narrative, with a dark, epic style and a progressive atmosphere that will keep you on the edge thanks to its immersive sound.
EPM Selected Vol. 10 features twelve tracks from the EPMmusic archive with a focus to the left of the dancefloor; embracing electro, electronica, breaks, dub techno and the cracks in between. Volume 10 brings together EPM regulars such as Cristian Vogel, Oliver Way, Techmarine Bottom Feeders, Freddy Fresh and Theiz, alongside great tracks from Arno Vancolen, Carl Taylor, The Third Man, Athens Computer Underground, Ballet Mechanique and Paul Mac. Involved in the electronic music scene since 2001, EPMmusics label has over 120 releases to its name from a glittering spectrum of todays techno, house, electronica and electro pioneers. Nurturing a core set of artists has seen the label pick up numerous accolades, support and global recognition to become an established dance music force. As a snapshot into how we got here, the 10th instalment of our Selected series goes crate-digging in the vaults. We start Vol. 10 with a glitched out dub-techno excursion as Cristian Vogel takes on Arno Vancolens Substance #2 before we hit classic Lowlands 90s IDM via the shimmering understatement of Ballet Mechaniques Echo Catcher. Oliver Ways The Fabulous Mr. Baker, a track dedicated to the sadly departed techno and house producer, Tim Baker, builds upon layered pads and heart-felt keys, evoking the sound of early 90s Artificial Intelligence era techno. Having just released his fifth release on EPM, we trackback to Theizs debut album of 2023 with A Beautiful Off Day, washing over us with sun-dappled warmth and emotive melodies before Modulator (aka Freddy Fresh) gets a full-throated electro remix from Berlin based duo, CYRK with his track ProMars that first appeared in EPMs 20 year celebrations. Squid Ink Posse is a lesser-known track from Paris the Black Fus Techmarine Bottom Feeders alias but no less worthy of a fresh look, as its sinister electro sonics fit perfectly with todays uncertain times. Paul Macs quick step into rave breaks with Nothing Remains is the albums peak dancefloor moment, bringing an euphoric tempo rush and then The Third Mans Beneath the Mine Chamber takes us back into the bass-driven underworld of schizophrenic techno. Carl Taylors 2012 album True Faith remains a landmark release for the label, so its always a pleasure to shine a light back on this techno treasure. This time we head for the headphones with Guiding Light which gets a wonderful 2024 remaster by the mighty Chris McCormack. Athens Computer Underground takes us into a world of subtle 303 basslines and deft early AFX driven melody with the bubbling and mesmerising Cantharidine from 2020s All Lovers Young EP before Cristian Vogel dives back into the depths with more dub infused electronics on the sublime EarthSea from his continuous NEL adventures. Finally, Freddy Fresh emerges for a second time as we delve into his all-genre encompassing 35 Years of Music opus via the modular prism of Caledonia, a track drenched with introspective melody and the subtle touch of a true master.

Central Processing Unit releases have all been logged in an eight-bit binary numbering system ever since the Sheffield label arrived on the scene with Cygnus 2012 LPNewmark Phase. With 256 variations allowed for in the binary catalogue, CPU now hit the halfway point more than a dozen years into their run. In that time the imprint has grown into one of the most celebrated voices in contemporary electro, its monochrome sleeve design reaching iconic status and early releases trading for big money in certain circles. As such,CPU128 Classicsserves as both a victory lap and a line in the sand, a survey of some of the highs in the imprints discography and a second chance for CPU aficionados to get their hands on out-of-print material. And where else to begin but with a track from the very first CPU release? Red District Girls, a choice cut fromNewmark Phase, is as perfect a scene-setter now as it was all those years ago. This is a number which brings the Drexciya sound into the present day, offsetting some whip-smart drum tracking and a grizzled synth bassline with brilliantly eerie keys higher in the mix. CPUs reputation as a premier purveyor of modern machine-funk has been built on tracks like Red District Girls. This lineage is unsurprisingly well represented onCPU128 Classics. From DMX Krews clattering Not Very to Jensen Interceptors gurgling mActavis, Mikrons vroom-vrooming Sleep Paralysis to the stentorian punch of MNLTHs Flektro,CPU128 Classicsis bursting full of mutated dancefloor tackle. Its as true now as it was back in 2012 - if youre looking for broken-beat 808s, sidewinder bass and synths which sound like theyve been beamed in from deep space, then CPU is your go-to. However, just because the label is well-known for that particular sound doesnt meanCPU128lacks variation. Far from it - indeed, while post-Warp synth-work remains an overarching principle here, this collection demonstrates just how far the label casts its net in sonic terms. Take, for instance, more cerebral offerings like CNs Stellar Awakening. The track still shares a clear point of origin with something like Red District Girls, but theres an altogether more carefree feeling to this nugget of sun-kissed electro that sets the scene for another lane of CPUs output, one of cerebral synth exploration indebted to ats like Boards of Canada. This is truer still on Mrs Jynxs Diving Loop - with softly keening synth pads offset by only faint pitter-patter drums, Diving Loop is a beautiful piece of dawn chorus electronica which proves yet again that the robots have feelings too. While the final joint here, Microliths 2016 offering Dance With Me, is still forged on piston-precise drum programming and a cornucopia of bleep-bloop synths, the tracks uplifting bounce is a world away from the foreboding feeling of some of this records darker joints. As such, its a perfect way to close outCPU128 Classics, an album which celebrates Central Processing Units past in order to look to the future. Heres to 128 more.
