Having separately had releases on some of the best labels in the scene and played at some of the biggest gigs in Europe, they're proud to announce this new chapter to the world in the form of a steppy two-tracker that's all parts mean, low slung and features the vocal talents of the legendary COPPA. Part II: Bottom Line In the sinful maze of his life, amidst the pulsating rhythm of urban life, there resided a seeker. Within the confines of solitude, amidst the whispers of doubt and the echoes of societal expectations, the seeker grappled with the enigma of his purpose. In the dance of his mind's shadows, the seeker communed with the essence of his core. The irritating storm of voices clamored for conformity, urging the seeker to forsake the path of intangible dreams for the allure of the tangible bottom line. Yet, in the sanctum of creativity, amidst the silence of his shell, the seeker found solace. A dogma unfolded, transcending the constraints of materiality, unveiling the truth. The truth that was the base of his path, the one that he believed in from the very beginning. For in the act of creation, the seeker discovered liberation, purpose, identity. The resolution of his doubts. Armed with naught but the fervor of passion, in the center of the tumultuous tides of uncertainty, the seeker remained steadfast as an infinite beam of boundless imagination, unwavering in the pursuit of the final transcendence. For in the realm of abstraction, true wealth resides in the boundless expanse of imagination, the unfettered spirit of creation, and the eternal quest for meaning beyond measure. In you.
Call it Footworkjungle! The hybrid bass music version of Chicago's dance music history of juke and footwork and the UK's jungle breakbeat has been coming to life across the globe for a decade now - and Arcane & Jon1st are contributing to it with their second EP on Defrostatica. While Bloodstone EP was an ad-lib-rich, all-out breakbeat assault, the Bristol/Leicester duo go deeper on Waves EP, focusing on big emotions over sharp beats.
FRAKTAL SOUND unveil the latest release in their curated catalogue with RENEGE, an EP crafted in pairing by Austrian producers SEQUENT & M:PATHY that hones Drum & Bass' core attributes with pinpoint precision. BFG opens the EP with the undulations of its rolling bassline that backs the flowing vox of Slippy Skills with undeniable force. From here, PROVOCATE's sibilant timbres carve through the speakers in a confident legato alongside the steady strut of the track's percussive components. RENEGE then closes the EP that shares its name with exacting fervor, its bassline woven expertly into the cavernous atmospheric fabric within which it finds its home. With RENEGE, SEQUENT & M:PATHY thus mark themselves as devotees to Drum & Bass' technical stylings and enter lock-step into the fore of FRAKTAL SOUND's similarly minded sonic ranks.
Pure Filth Records are so excited to bring you blkout's second original release! This tune is carrying on from his first release last month and is the definition of pure filth with rock inspired drum and bass vibes all over it! This is a tune you need in your playlists and on your USBs!
Hey this is Skwirl here to gab at you briefly about the records we have coming for our first thematic cluster! The theme is Circadian Rhythms and so as you might expect the records are presented to you by time of day. We have daylight hours, late afternoon/evening, nighttime and afterhours selections for you. The Crane - For The Birds For The Birds is the lovely kind of record that wastes no time in charming you with its quirky, lively and endlessly colourful palette and feels easy to start back at the top when it concludes. Stephen Hedley (aka The Crane) is responsible for holding down the daylight hours slot and there could not be a better record to see the good ship Circadian Rhythms off into the balmy seas of your good ears. Theres a kindly warm nostalgic note here reminiscent of 90s era Warp records: if youll forgive the moment of genre gab, there are hints of dusty IDM that interweave with moments of downtempo, deep house materialises from a bed of garageits tender, explorative, immaculately crafted and fiercely original. From the opening squiggles of signal to the final hauntingly disembodied RnB vocal snippets this record is unassuming, unpretentious, infectiously melodic and full of delightful twists and turns. Its one of my favourite records of all time, and it is sure to bring a twinkle to the eye, a crane to the neck (if youll pardon), and a pep to the step.
