DYSTORTION Extrawelts Latest and Longest-Brewing Album Lands This December on Cocoon In this beautiful world marked by rising chaos, sometimes the simplest way to escape its troubles is through sonic relief. Germanys renowned electronic duo Extrawelt will offer exactly that with their 5th full-length album, DYSTORTION, via Cocoon Recordings this December. For over two decades, the humble duo behind Extrawelt, who shy away from making music for clicks, have been a steadfast presence in electronic music. Known as serious studio and tour-focused artists who craft timepiece albums, each a work of enduring craft, that go on to create atmospheric, out-of-the-box live acts, theyve been shaping and redefining electronica since their first release. DYSTORTION is their most diverse and evocative album to date. Imagined over six years and shaped by a world in flux through COVID, political upheavals, social media, and AI, it reflects the contrasts and twists weve all felt while offering surges of serenity and hope. From brooding tension to playful relief, it moves through different states in an evolved Extrawelt manner. The albums opening credit, Grand Départ, as if a cinematic prelude, invites us into a world of creeping bass, an explicitly Extrawelt sound thats synonymous with the anti-genre genre they work within. The albums second track, Clapland, sees Extrawelt joining forces with Jimi Jules, a name synonymous with excellence in electronic music, creating a rare collaboration that is felt in every note. Soon, the mood shifts into softer melodies as heard in Surrounded By Miracles, Hope Sounds Good, and Sir Stringalot, which bring bright euphorics to balance the darker moments in an album echoed by industrial influences. Later, as Dystortion (the albums title track) unfolds, were drawn into something few electronic artists can create: raw emotion. This is a gritty landscape as reflective as it is pulsing, glitchy, intense, and richly textured. DYSTORTION is a reflection of a complex, divided world, carried through dramatically with Extrawelts signature techno tension. Like the world right now, it is full of contradictions, surprises, and moments of introspection, an essential listen for fans of mature electronic music that may or may not need a reminder of why, after 20 years, were still listening.

Every Day Magic News showcases Nyvs evolving sound - synth textures, atmospheric layers, and emotional precision. Each track captures a different shade of everyday magic, transforming simple moments into musical stories. With strong originals and a diverse set of remixes, the EP highlights Tellels collaborative spirit and artistic identity. Sazon – A slow, downtempo electronic journey driven by a pulsing groove and airy synths. In the second half, a dramatic electronic-guitar line emerges, intertwining with the rhythm to create a hypnotic, cinematic experience. Xonku – Slightly faster, blending subtle dub chords with delicate, bird-like melodies. Dreamy synths and a soft late-night atmosphere create a warm, spacious soundscape where melody and rhythm flow together seamlessly. Xonku (Somko Remix) – Transforms the original into a vibrant, danceable 110 BPM groove. Somkos signature approach balances organic and electronic elements, creating a positive, uplifting reinterpretation. Sazon (Altriparty & Hypsidia Remix) – A lively, inventive take on Sazon. Energetic and danceable, with a surprise accordion entry in the second half that elevates the track into something truly unique. Sazon (Im Mady Remix) – Slows the pulse down, offering a deep, groovy reinterpretation. Warm chords, expressive synth bass, and rhythmic interplay with the original percussion add soulful depth to the EPs narrative.
Tellel proudly presents Riders Remixes EP, a vibrant reinterpretation of Kermesse & Turu Anasis originals, delivered by three distinctive artists from across the globe. The original tracks have already made a strong mark, taking the entire Top 3 on the Beatport Downtempo chart, with One Day My Mouth Would Be a Trumpet holding the #1 position for quite some time. Now, these remixes open a new chapter, bringing fresh emotional angles while preserving the essence of the originals. Adrian Schneider reshapes One Day My Mouth Would Be a Trumpet into a calmer, more laid-back experience, keeping the essence of the iconic trumpet while surrounding it with deep, lush textures. Reworked plucks, a modified rhythm, soft pitch-delay details and modulated vocoder - treated leads create a warm and atmospheric space. A new rounded bassline, gentle piano patterns and delicate synth plucks complete this immersive downtempo reimagination. Akira Arasawa brings his Tokyo-driven modular approach to Diaries, crafting a happy and danceable version full of technological house vibes. Using his modular setup - especially the BASTL Softpop, currently his favourite machine - he injects the track with colourful motion, playful rhythms and a modern electronic spirit while keeping the emotional core intact. To Ricciardi takes Riders straight to the dancefloor with a driving, energetic club interpretation. Built on the grooves of a Roland SH-101, rhythmic layers from Diva and movement shaped through ShaperBox, his remix transforms the original into a powerful, forward-pushing ride designed to make bodies move.

In this release, the whisper of guitar strings meets a rhythm reminiscent of a citys distant echo. A feeling of gentle nostalgia arises, as if discovering an old postcard where words have gradually transformed into melody. Electronic sounds softly envelop the vocals, creating a sense of space filled with warm light. Its a story told in the language of halftones and premonitions, where every beat carries a quiet joy of anticipation
