The latest mind-blowing chapter from Jem Stone Panufnik's epic musical book The Legend of Kaptain Karnival sees Meat Katie create a mid-tempo electro-synth masterpiece, remixing out-there heady disco chugger Everybody's Hugging the Horse. The legendary tech-funk proponent turns out a predictably tasty late-night-drive electro-groove workout, holding back the tempo to the kind of throbbing, boot-stomping rate he's applied to recent tracks and remixes for the likes of Tici Taci and Lowering the Tone. With blinding usage of the original's live instrumentation, including juicy P-Funk horns care of Primal Scream/Brand New Heavies/Groove Armada brass maestro Dom Glover, it makes for a rich and exquisite blend of textures and vibe. Jem is the audio/visual pioneer renowned as co-founder of Finger Lickin' Records and Soul of Man, and this latest project sees him further his darkly unique cartoon-funk style. Another one for the heads!

Pipe & Pochet Records proudly welcomes fresh faces Chapacan and D'Khem to the family with an EP that feels like an invitation to travel without borders. A journey through rhythm, culture and emotion, blending Middle Eastern textures, Brazilian warmth and Latin soul into a deep, organic sound made for the dancefloor, the duo moves naturally between downtempo, Afro House and Afro Tech. Each track carries its own atmosphere while remaining connected through hypnotic percussion, melodic vocals and immersive grooves. The result is both intimate and powerful: music that feels equally at home during a sunset ritual or in the middle of a late-night dance floor moment. Rooted in movement and inspired by different corners of the world, the EP captures a meeting point between tradition and modern electronic music, deep, rhythmic and timeless.
Hindu Kush is an electronic journey inspired by the mountains that stand between worlds while connecting their cultures. Anchored by the deep resonance of the Afghan rubab and the ethereal tones of the Herati dutar, the release bridges ancient traditions with modern soundscapes. From introspective depths to pulsating, trance-like grooves, Hindu Kush evokes the mystic pulse of the East meeting contemporary electronica : a dialogue between earth and sky, memory and motion. The EP also features a beautiful cast of remixers, including Ben & Vincent, KasbaH and Rogerio Lopez, each bringing their own unique interpretation to the journey.
