Beatfreak Recordings presents "Beatfreak Amsterdam 2026", a new Various Artists sampler showcasing the label's current sound during one of the most important weeks on the international electronic music calendar. Coinciding with Amsterdam's annual gathering of the global electronic music community, Beatfreak Recordings returns with Beatfreak Amsterdam 2026, a seven-track compilation bringing together established members of the Beatfreak family alongside new and emerging talent. The sampler explores the territory between Melodic House, Progressive House and Indie Dance, reflecting Beatfreak's current musical direction while preserving the underground identity that has defined the label throughout its history. D-Formation opens the compilation with "Take Control", followed by YES TO ALL with "Anahata". AUGADD & RASALAS join forces on "Echoes of Maya", while Kounterpart contributes "Hey Daddy". The journey continues with Andrew Sar & Twilight Music Sculpture and their collaboration "Hold On Me", followed by Verolila with "Nostalgia". Closing the compilation, Bendosh delivers "Raise The Volume". Across seven original productions, Beatfreak Amsterdam 2026 brings together different artists and musical perspectives under a common vision: contemporary underground electronic music created for the dance floor, combining groove, melody, atmosphere and character.

Music comes and goes. Night suddenly falls upon us and we're 'Back to Dark', Djolee's newest EP on Amancay. Across three tracks, Djolee explores a darker, more sequential side of his sound, filled with drama, suspense and the occasional moment of relief. There's always something around the corner, although getting there might take a minute. It's probably best not to give too much away anyway. With Gene also stepping up on vocals and bringing his own original lyrics to the record, you know this is going to carry some serious Farris energy.

Moodyverse pushes its new cycle into groovier territory with a two-track release from Pôngo, the Italian duo returning after remixing for the label last year. The brothers bring a sound built on electro, soul and melodic techno, sharpened here into something rawer and more direct. 'Day 'N' Night' leads with the groove out front: a rolling low end, punchy drums and the duo's instinct for arpeggiated melody surfacing across the arrangement. Built to move a room without forcing it. 'Don't Do It' keeps the momentum and adds bite. Tighter and more direct, it trades warmth for drive, a peak-time cut that does its work without excess. A confident, club-focused statement from Pôngo, and a clear step deeper into the cycle's new direction.

Magia is a two-track EP that represents a side of MAMI we've been really enjoying exploring lately, music that is built around energy, tension and those big moments on the dancefloor. Both tracks came from wanting to make records that would really translate in a room. We wanted the drops to feel big, the builds to create anticipation, and for the tracks to have enough space for the crowd to really feel the impact when everything comes back in. The A-side track, Magia, is the more powerful side of the EP. It gradually builds tension through the melody and atmosphere before opening up into a much bigger, euphoric moment. There's a strong focus on progression and creating that feeling of anticipation that we love when playing out. Bass Back came from a different place. It's more stripped back, darker and much more focused on the groove and low end. We wanted it to be a track that you can really feel when it comes on a big system, something that gets people moving without needing to overcomplicate the idea. For us, the two tracks work really well together because they show two sides of what we love about playing and producing. Magia is more about the tension and the release, while Bass Back is about the energy and physical impact. This EP is about making music that we genuinely want to play ourselves, tracks that build a moment, hit hard and feel even better when you experience them in a room with a crowd.
