We continue on HouseU with a truly exciting collaboration, while also welcoming three fantastic artists to the label. The name Mat.Joe is certainly familiar to any house music follower. He has been creating music at the highest international level for many years, delivering one great release after another. Originally formed as a duo, the Mat.Joe story dates back to 2008, during which time they released on respected labels such as Defected, Club Sweat, Mother Recordings and Saved Records. From 2024 onward, Matthias continues his career solo, carrying forward the legacy Mat.Joe has built over the past decade. The other half of this collaboration is Florian Kruse, an artist with a career spanning well over a decade. Trained as a sound engineer and later active in various formations, Florian launched his solo career in 2016 and has since achieved numerous milestones. Over the years, he has delivered many high-quality releases and worked with artists such as Joris Voorn, David Morales and Robosonic. More recently, his music has appeared on outstanding labels including Armada Subjekt, Noir Music and Last Night On Earth. Now, Mat.Joe and Florian Kruse make their debut on HouseU together with their joint collaboration titled Alone But Free. The tracks unique and captivating sound instantly draws the listener in. Alongside solid house grooves and driving rhythms, the arrangement offers a wealth of refined details. A series of beautifully crafted synths, a touch of funk in the breakdown and strong piano chords all add depth and character to the production.
