Rupert Marnie, co-founder of The Press Group and Remoto Records, makes his debut on Smallville with some serious curveball action. Once you immerse yourself in the wonderful breadth of Hamburg's subculture, it is quite likely that you will soon hear about Matthias Schubert also known as Rupert Marnie. Operating in the City's deepest part of the underground, Matthias provides some highlights that you should know about - may it be co-running a vinyl label (The Press Group) and an amazing record-store (remoto records) together with a group of like-minded friends or may it be as a DJ or Liveact, playing house, techno or ambient music at clubs like Golden Pudel, Südpol or Frappant in Hamburg or outside of town (Club der Visionäre/ Berlin, Bassiani/ Tblisi...)- there is quite a lot of things that Matthias has accomplished. And we are very happy to present his latest installment - four raw and gritty tracks, deeply driving yet bouncy, wobbly at times and definitely with a Curveball-appeal and no compromises. Smallville 77 will be released 4th of September 2026 with a full cover artwork from Stefan Marx.

First transmissions from newly formed Japanese duo Fructus. Their first bunch of Detroit-leaning house tracks, find a common ground somewhere between fragile machine funk and dreamy electronics.

Allen Craig returns to Moulton Music with Dreaming of Detroit, a three-track EP inspired by the sounds and spirit of the Motor City. Leading the release is the title track, Dreaming of Detroit, a proper Detroit deep house cut built around lush strings, driving drums, and unmistakable Motor City textures. Next up, Gherkin keeps the energy rolling with punchy drums, soaring arpeggios, and Allen's signature blend of deep, hypnotic grooves. Closing out the EP is Rings of Jupiter, layering classic Detroit synths over Allen's trademark drums to move the dancefloor. From start to finish, Dreaming of Detroit is Allen Craig's love letter to the music and city that continue to inspire his sound. Deep, driving, and unmistakably Detroit.

Rising talent Midas Field showcases his versatile sound on his new EP, That's Right, released on PIV, further cementing his status as one to watch. Featuring four soulful yet driving tracks, the EP channels that unmistakable early 2000s house music energy. High-octane grooves, timeless influences, and quality production come together to push the new golden age of house music one step closer.

Were happy to present another package with several of Korsakows classic Deep House tunes from the mid 90s. Some were only available on Vinyl up to now, some unreleased. Ghetto of the Mind and The Man (Rmx) are both Deep House outtakes from Alex Krugers Abduction EP for BCC, released in 1996. Line Vision was the title track for the 1997 Line Vision EP and was out on BCC as well. For this digital reissue we chose the unreleased first recording, which is even deeper as the one on the 12 and doesnt have any vocals. Additionally its about time to include the formerly unreleased 1995 original version of The Man, a classic, simple and pretty clubby uptempo Filter-Piano-Tech-House stomper. Finally Jazz (from 1997) and Need No Lie (recorded in 1995), both never released before, adding even more of that dry, early Chicago House vibe we love so much. These tunes are highly recommended for late night sets and for THAT kind of Deep House party we will never ever get tired of.Hope you dig!

For their 8th instalment, Half Baked Records invited long-time friend and Detroit legend Mike Huckaby to join the label family. He came with something very special in two rolling deep house tracks. Both tracks have Mike's signature touch, jazzy, smooth keys and rolling bass in a way that only Huckaby knows how. Mike's knowledge of his machines and software shows here as he comes with something super classy for daytime or night.

The dream team is back! Borrowed Identity and his boyhood friend Mechanical Soul Brother have been doing hot sessions in their studio and the output is the fantastic "Return to yourself EP". All tunes have a classic yet modern house flair. The A-side is full of groovy rhythms, deeeeeep basslines, splendid vocals and subtle acid lines - "just be yourself" might even slightly recall Larry Heard/Mr. White's "the sun can't compare"! The club friendly b-side offers two versions of "point of no return". The 2 am version has those old schoolish drums and some blissful sounds and voices, just the way we love it, whereas the 6am version is the more straight forward, catchy early morning groover. What a return from Borrowed Identity & Mechanical Soul Brother! Watch out for the limited coloured vinyl edition!
