The Nick Curly and Gorge helmed 8Bit Records offers up a new EP courtesy of Peruvian artist Chinonegro, entitled 'Groove Theory' and comprising four original compositions. In recent years, Peruvian DJ and producer Chinonegro has been making waves across the global electronic music scene with his distinctive fusion of deep grooves, hypnotic rhythms, and Latin-leaning sonic textures. Renowned for blending rich cultural influences with raw, classic House sound design, he has rapidly carved out a unique voice in contemporary club music. Now he returns to 8Bit, the long-running and widely respected Mannheim imprint celebrated for its signature groove-led sound, shaped by its founders and a global roster of artists. 'Groove Theory' opens the release, pairing organic percussion with choppy stabs, a buoyant bassline, and finely processed vocal cuts. Rooted in Deep House and Deep Tech references, the record explores well-defined grooves that shift between contemplative and dancefloor-oriented moods, marking Jame C's debut on the label with a direct and refined statement. Born in Belo Horizonte, Jame C is one of the standout names from a new generation of producers. Despite his young age, his creative potential and musical vision have already caught the attention of key figures on the global scene, including artists such as Mochakk, Jamie Jones, and Chloe Caillet. This recognition has helped establish him as a producer in constant evolution within the Brazilian electronic music landscape. This three-track digital release comes from two key figures in Brazil's contemporary electronic scene: Bernardo Campos and Fabio Santanna, the duo known as Nu Azeite. This project is the meeting point between Fabio, a musician, DJ, singer and producer with deep roots in Rio's musical traditions, and Bernardo, a DJ long-time friend of the label and one of the essential agitators of the city's underground house and disco movement. Together they channel what they like to call "the Brazil we want," a blend of rhythm, soul, and cultural memory that feels unmistakably alive. "Saudade da Bahia" carries that spirit through three house-driven tracks shaped by their very own sonic spirit, hypnotic vocal textures and rhythm, and the unmistakable swing that defines Brazilian dance music.
