'Long Time' is the first single announcing Maps, the new album by DJ Satelite and DJ Galio, currently in production. Maps is the second album for each of the DJs and definitively consolidates their identity within Afro House. After Raizes, a project that explored their artistic journey, Maps emerges as a portrait of the origins, expansion, and essence of African Afro House. The album highlights Luanda as one of the main epicenters of the genre's rise, at a time when Paulo Alves and Ricardo Alves introduced a new dynamic on the radio by creating a space exclusively dedicated to music made by African artists Dia da Semana 'Afro House'. This movement was crucial for structuring the genre and strengthening its identity. Over time, artists such as DJ Maphorisa and Bodhi Satva recognized the strength of the Angolan market, contributing to the global expansion and recognition of Afro House. Maps reaffirms this fundamental truth: Afro House is Africa. The album explores the concept of residence and belonging, revealing another side of Afro House's story on the continent, told by those who lived the process from within. The first single, 'Long Time', introduces the album's universe with an emotional and contemporary narrative: the longing for a time when love was genuine, lived without reliance on screens. The song celebrates affection, real connections, and love stories that emerged during the same period Afro House was being built. Lucas Moreno SA, a dual-nationality artist, born to a Brazilian mother and a South African father, features as a guest on 'Long Time', bringing his voice and personal experience. As the only Brazilian to tell the Afro House story from his own perspective, Lucas adds a connection between Africa and Brazil to the track, enhancing its emotional and cultural dimension without taking the spotlight from DJs Satelite and Galio.
