Ushering in a new cycle, ICONYC's latest compendium of tracks blossoms forth with the third installment of our 'Florilegia' series. Comprised of 14 spellbinding creations, our latest delivery features the sounds of Ae:ther; Pole Position; Argia; Alphadog; Max Menaged & Adassiya & matteomie; AIKON; Island Hill & Marc Gonen; Khainz & ZENØN; Lexer; Stil & Bense; Agustin Giri & Gespona; Deniz Tekin & Tolu & Aliot; Jordan Lev & Nael; and Convolute. The first specimen in this Florilegia is planted by Ae:ther with "N59", a rare act where mangled vocals bloom towards the intermittent lights before being swept by throbbing workhorses in a roaring opening. In our second act, Pole Position's "Take Me Home" invites us to a tantalizing midnight seance led by smoldering vocals and wonky synthetics. For our third presentation, we uncover Argia's "Silo", a state-of-the-art creation where broken melodies come alive, drawing unique shapes in the dark. Next up, Alphadog delivers a powerful statement with "This Is How I Feel", a masterclass in restraint before soulful vocals take center stage in a declaration of independence. Exhibiting our fifth piece, Max Menaged & Adassiya & matteomie step up with "STOP!", where rousing vocals drift over meandering swells and clipped hats before dissolving into the ether. Later, AIKON's "Mama" explores a thunderous landscape in a genre-bending experiment that transcends frontiers for the ultimate rush. Closing our first half, Marc Gonen & Island Hill team up for "Running Into You", a sleazy cut that unfolds over twilight as crooning vocals rummage across the night in search of something more. Running into the halfway mark, Khainz & ZENØN lead the charge with "Proxima", a slow-burning delivery where lush vocals and gated synths shimmer somewhere high in the clouds. Then, Lexer goes for a more primal feel with "Noctara Sun", as textured percussive patterns run next to restless sequences under the midnight sun. In our tenth chapter, Stil & Bense kick things into gear with "Data Dreams", a driving piece that delivers sharp turns and cascading synths over chopped vocals for an unbridled rush of blood to the head. Next up, Agustin Giri & Gespona take us "Cruisin''" with controrting leads that traverse over metallic explosions and undulating synths that bend beyond imagination. Our twelfth entry finds the trifecta of Deniz Tekin, Tolu & Aliot coming together for "Cause Happen", as Eastern airs come into the picture for a most eclectic feel under arid suns. Heading for the final turn, Jordan Lev & Nael deliver an unforgettable "Soiree" with a dynamic act that sees acidic lines corroding their surroundings as the beat goes on. Finally, Convolute takes us home with the aptly named "Close", a nostalgic piece that finds anchor in emotional depth and spellbinding nuance to wrap up another quintessential installment of Florilegia.
