    Cari Lekebusch , Spekki Webu

    Beatport Staff Picks

Hybrid Productions Sound Architecture proudly presents: [HPX176] Ethereo Spatial Rift. A transmission authored by Cari Lekebusch & Spekki Webu. Two aligned frequencies, colliding and refracting beyond fixed form. Not their first convergence, and never confined to a single axis. From nocturnal expansions at the Dutch Dekmantel by Night to the concrete echoes of Perron, their back-to-back excursions dissolve the boundary between architecture and impulse. Earlier fragments surfaced as Spoor Een on the Hybrid Sound Architects v2.0 compilation; the signal continues, threading into "Bootstrap Paradox", Spekki Webus forthcoming album in June 2026. What emerges is a strain of psychedelic mental phonk. Restless, mutating, uncontainable. Patterns fold in on themselves. Time loosens. New material is already assembling somewhere between intention and accident. Bring your P.K.E. meter ... Thank you for tuning in!

Hybrid Productions Sound Architecture proudly presents: [HPX178] Dark Queen Silver Knight. A retrospective transmission by Cari Lekebusch. Some cycles never end. They return in spirals, in echoes, in coded sequences hidden beneath layers of dust and magnetic memory. Frequencies revolving through time, waiting to be reactivated. "Dark Queen Silver Knight" is one of those returns. A retro-futuristic descent into the raw machine funk and nocturnal pulse of the 1980s & 1990s. Produced live and direct this conceptual body of work is dedicated entirely to the sacred circuitry of the Roland TR-808 and Roland TB-303. An exercise in reduction and ritual. Every track stripped to its skeletal essence and forged through analog pressure alone. An extreme ordeal for most PA systems, the tracks are all pushing sub frequencies into tectonic territory. "Dark Queen Silver Knight" is not looking back. It is returning to the source. It was 1984 and Chris The Glove Taylor released Reckless featuring Ice-T. Me and the Space Crusaders crew were breakdancing in the school hallways on a daily basis. Thats when I realised that I totally needed a TR-808 and a TB-303. <3 goes out to all 808 lovers and especially to Ikutaro Kakehashi, Tadao Kikumoto plus the whole team at Roland in Japan for creating such an awesome instruments. May the funk be with you, all ways! - Cari Lekebusch
