Tube & Berger , Frank Sonic , Freddy Muller , Mat.Joe , Noah Loco , Denace 2 Society , Jochem Hamerling , Raffi Habel , Purple Palms , Roxy Nox , GIORG
Kittball turns 300. Tube & Berger and Juliet Sikora founded the label in Solingen in 2005, at a time when Germany had no shortage of house imprints. The plan reached about as far as the next record. For twenty-one years, it kept reaching that far. There were ups and downs, highs and lows, and plenty of records along the way. Purple Disco Machine released Purple Pianos on Kittball in 2015, long before the pop charts found him. Robert Owens lent his unmistakable voice to Slipknot. Timo Maas, andhim, Ida Engberg, Format:B, Junior Jack and Volkoder all became part of the story through singles and compilations such as Kittball Konspiracy and the charity series It Began In Africa. Some of those records still work at 3 a.m. Others belong unmistakably to the year they were released. That is fine too. A label's catalogue should reflect where it has been, not pretend it always knew where it was going. Release number 300 is a various-artists compilation. Nobody involved is spending much time looking back. They are already working on the next record. That is exactly how Kittball got this far in the first place.
