  • Onánya - Shamanic Sonic Journeys, Vol. 1
BeatTracker #18 Top Releases in Psy-Trance

Shamanic Tales is proud to present the first in our new series of Shamanic Sonic Journeys through our catalog. When people ask what genre of music we release, we say the answer is in the label name: as long as it is shamanic and tells a tale, it belongs here. Genres, styles, formulas, and expectations do not interest us. In this series, we dive deep into our catalog to weave a long sonic tale, a continuous shamanic exploration of sound. As our music is aimed to be a tool for a spiritual experience on the dancefloor, echoing similar traditions throughout human history, each journey will be named after a Shaman or spiritual figure from indigenous cultures. These leaders guided their people through consciousness-expanding rituals, just as we aim to do with music. This first volume is titled 'Onánya,' named after the spiritual healers of the Shipibo-Konibo people of the Peruvian Amazon. Compiled by label manager Shahar, it traverses a wide spectrum of styles and moods. Volume up, close your eyes, open your mind, and see you on the other side!

  • Eitan Reiter 20
BeatTracker #19 Top Releases in Trance (Raw / Deep / Hypnotic)

20 marks a defining moment in Eitan Reiters musical journey: a two-decade retrospective distilled into twenty pieces that trace his evolution through his solo work under Eitan Reiter, the explorations he developed as Out of Orbit, and a wide network of collaborations with artists such as Patrice Bäumel, Simon Posford (Shpongle), Infected Mushroom, Echo, Red Axes, Noga Erez, Sebastian Mullaert, Extrawelt, A. Balter, PRZ, Sandman, Shulman, and Perfect Stranger. These collaborations sit alongside the earliest chapter of his story — his rise as one half of the duo LOUD with Kobi Toledano — a period that laid the foundation for the expansive sonic world he would later shape. Far from a conventional compilation, the album represents Reiters most formative creations, studio milestones, remixes, and rare live versions, tracing his artistic trajectory with uncompromising clarity. Released on his label Impulse, it captures both where he has been and where he is heading. For Eitan, 20 represents the first stride of a new creative run, with a fresh wave of music already on the horizon. The vinyl edition gives the release special significance: a curated selection pressed exclusively for this format, making it a standout item for collectors. Reiters musical path, shaped during a period of rapid shifts in underground electronic culture, has remained distinctly his own. While the world changed its technology, communication, and even the ways we listen, his music has only grown more resonant. Hearing his earlier and later pieces side by side blurs linear time and taps into something essential — a musical intuition that feels constant despite changing contexts. Choosing the final twenty was difficult, but Eitan settled on the works that had genuinely stood the test of time and remained constant companions throughout his journey. This continuity is especially evident in the pieces that document his creative dialogue with other artists. Patrice Bäumels reimagining of Eat You intensifies the tracks subtle tension. Reiters version of Infected Mushroom and Yahels Electro Panic transforms a Psy-Trance classic into a bold, 80s-inflected Indie Dance cut. Echos vocal performance on X-Vision deepens the tracks emotional impact. Red Axes transform the psytrance piece No Disco by Out Of Orbit and Shpongle into something quite the opposite of its name, infusing it with their signature dark-disco style. Extrawelt bring cinematic weight to Ups & Downs, while Noga Erezs Worth None becomes a textured and exploratory re-envisioning in Reiters hands. His collaboration with Sebastian Mullaert on Dissolve displays hypnotic electronica, and the teamwork with Simon Posford on Seagulls Pt. 2 reveals a shared pursuit of depth, atmosphere, and sonic curiosity. The album concludes with Underwater, a solo piece that returns the listener to a place of stillness after more than two hours of movement, reflection, and transformation. Its presence carries particular emotional weight: Underwater was also the opening track of Eitans very first album. Here, it reappears as a closing chapter — completing the circle while gently inviting the journey to begin again. 20 stands as both a summation and a renewed starting point: a portrait of an artist who has grown, adapted, and experimented without losing sight of the emotional core that has defined his work from the beginning.

  • Sweet Water Dolphin (Out of Orbit Remix)
BeatTracker #36 Feat. Staff Picks in Trance (Raw / Deep / Hypnotic)

Sweet Water Dolphin (Out of Orbit Remix)

    Perfect Stranger

    Beatport Staff Picks

"Sweet Water Dolphin" remains one of the most iconic tracks from Perfect Stranger's Free Cloud album. Unlike many of his other celebrated works, this masterpiece hasn't seen a myriad of remixes. In fact, since 2012, no one has attempted to remix this track except for Yuli Fershtat himself and... Eitan Reiter, the mastermind behind the Out of Orbit project. Ever since Eitan completed his original remix in 2019, this comeback has been in the works. We at Digital Structures have been patiently waiting, and now, in 2026, we can confidently say that the long wait was absolutely worth it! The Out of Orbit Remix of "Sweet Water Dolphin" masterfully blends elements from across multiple genres. The result is a driving, hypnotic, and deeply emotional Psy-Thriller. Enjoy!
