Esteemed DJ & Producer Joris Voorn sets aside his dance floor sensibilities for his latest body of work as he looks deeper into his production capabilities with 'Melatonin'. Drawing from his years of studio experience, the new album focuses on the Dutch producers influence from ambient and down-tempo soundscapes. Working with long term collaborators and musicians Bram Stadhouders (braem) and Michiel Borstlap, 'Melatonin' delivers a thought-provoking listening experience that will be released in conjunction with World Sleep Day; March 13th.
Italian producer Ivory arrives on SPECTRUM with 'Fantasy'. Known for his releases across Exit Strategy, TAU, Siamese, Sapiens and beyond, Ivory brings his instinctive understanding of the dancefloor to a new home, delivering something precise and purposeful. The EP is built on a simple but uncompromising philosophy: keep the floor moving, always. Structures are linear and intentional, powerful bass synths lock in deep, and rhythmic tension is held firm throughout... no hollow breakdowns, no moments of doubt. Just music engineered to make people dance. The title track, 'Fantasy,' thrives on rhythmic tension. Percussive layers intertwine and tighten, creating a sense of constant propulsion, while a commanding low-end pulse locks dancers into its hypnotic flow. On the flip, 'Keep Movin On' channels a tribal mood, driven by a scything bass synth groove that cuts deep and rides relentlessly. Rhythmic textures meet a sharper edge, resulting in a track that feels both primal and futuristic.
