After a fantastic 2025, RISQUE RECORDS is ready to step into the new year with a biggie from one of the closest friends of the family, Diego Teran. The Venezuelan-born, now Miami/NYC-based poliedric artist has been part of the crew since the very beginning, contributing with his eclectic attitude by shaping RISQUE's sound identity. His debut 'I'm Back' EP includes his track, followed by three outstanding remixes by some other hot prospects in Marian, Ollie BC, and the Zamoras brothers. On the lead theme, funky trumpets, outrageous tech drums, and groovy basslines meet for the perfect dancefloor tune in pure RISQUE fashion. Completing the package, each of the remixers brings his unique touch of crunchy percussive grooves, wobbling bass tones, deep synths, and twisted vocal chops to satisfy everyone's sound palate. We're so back!
A long one in the making, RISQUE RECORDS' eleventh release goes back to the label's headquarters in New York with Jean Pierre and his "Tamboreo" EP. Longtime friend of RISQUE, Pakate's frontman, Jean Pierre, has been one of the very first supporters of Shahar and the RISQUE project, and we're delighted to have him on board with two originals and a remix by Barcelona-based Ssero. With releases on Hot Creations, Cuttin' Headz, and fresh from his new album "No Turning Back" on his own Pakate Records, Jean Pierre is a name that doesn't go unnoticed if you're familiar with groovy house and minimal rhythms, and his debut "Tamboreo" EP is a testament to his sound. The lead track revolves around a hypnotic ethnic chant filled with elaborate percussive patterns and booming basslines, whilst "Samba" - in collaboration with Spanish hitmaker Daniel Orpi - keeps the momentum alive by combining splashes of jazzy loops with an exquisite groove. Closing in style, formidable rising act Ssero takes the original into a warm, rolling opener with elegant dubby stabs and crystal clear, slinky grooves.
