Delivered across a two part series, La Decima Compilation selects artists that have contributed to the last 10 years and are firmly aligned in the next 10 years. Part 1 rounds up Germany hitmaker, Oliver Dollar with his I Do Believe cut with a Chicago jam for the ages. Smooth and subtle hitting all the right notes to lead the line on this compilation. Next up, Toronto based, Demuir doesnt miss with his signature groovy and jackin style as Vibez High does exactly what it says on the tin. The B side kicks off with UK native, Jwalkers Disconnected giving us the 90s house feel we all love! Pinto (NYC) & Kola collab on this jackin disco weapon that serves up the french house feelin with little NYC tuffness.
Three stellar remixes of Aussie hotshot Jerk Boy's recent collaboration with Chicago house legend Mike Dunn to cover a range of tastes, needs and urges. Watergate resident Kristin Velvet channels Mike Dunn's tracky, heads-down roots with her stripped-back version, where old skool drum machine pressure meets throbbing bass and Dunn's moody vocals are left plenty of space to breathe. Ben Gomori channels early MJ Cole productions on his Keep It 4x4 Remix, with clipped, heavily swinging drums laced with boomy sub bass, quivvering synth chords and cute clavichord motifs. Dutch master T.U.R.F. continue their fine run of form on their joyous disco house re-rub, cramming oodles of funk and soul into their cut-up groove.
Sondrio has been a part of the Refuge family over the last 9 years. As huge fans of his elegant perspective on house music, we are honoured to present his contributions via 'Azzurro' EP. A 3 tracker that has been in the vault for the last 3 years and we thought it was time to let the world hear its magic.
