I would walk the quarter block through the snow, to a musty, brick basement, try to lose myself in sound, to reflect and imagine what would become of it all. I finished the music as I moved my family across the globe, and without realising it, through the ending of an immensely pivotal chapter of a life. Then it sat, for years, stuck.
