At the tail end of 2021 DJ Godfather released 'This Detroit Thing Of Ours'. Like his 'Electro Beats For Freaks' album the previous year, it featured an abundance of tracks which segued into one another 46 tracks in total with a running time of nearly 2 hours. This is a man who likes to break all the album rules! Full of variety, the album covered genres like Electro, Techno, House and Ghetto Tech alongside collaborations with DJ Deeon, Goodmoney G100, King Saaidi, Gettoblaster & Missy, Lil Mz 313, Ricky Burns, JPE, Parkhouse and Dan Diamond. Revisiting that epic album, DJ Godfather is releasing a series of EPs which feature full length versions, alternative mixes, acapellas and instrumentals of some of those tracks.

Following DJ Godfathers fierce new electro cut Get Back, RA feature A History of Ghettotech in Ten Tracks and DJ mix for EPM, he delivers an EP made solely on one piece of equipment, the Roland TR-1000. "So my man Recloose from Roland introduced me to the Roland TR-1000 a while ago and I was inspired by it the second I started playing with it! Initially, I wanted to challenge myself to make a full track using only this machine. After the first track I was having so much fun and ideas were flowing, I decided to do a full EP with it. I wanted to see how Detroit I could get with it. So I bring to you 1000 Musik!" The Roland TR-1000 Rhythm Creator features faithful recreations of classic TR-808 and TR-909 sounds, the cornerstones of classic techno and electro. In the hands of a Detroit master such as DJ Godfather this machine gets a thorough dancefloor workout. 1000 Musik gives us four different electro cuts from one truly impressive man and machine!

Databass delivers a new electro bomb as Dutch electronic music pioneer Orlando Voorn makes his debut on DJ Godfathers label, with Godfather contributing a tough electro remix to wrap the dancefloor up! Blending Voorns futuristic, machine-driven sound design with raw, bass-heavy Detroit energy, the Detroit Is The Name EP splices a high-voltage fusion of classic electro grit with Motor City edge. Known for shaping the European techno movement and releasing seminal records under aliases such as Fix and Baruka, Voorn brings decades of studio mastery to the collaboration. DJ Godfather, widely recognized as a founding force in Detroits ghetto tech scene, injects the release with a remix of unmistakable electro pulse and attitude. A transatlantic exchange rooted in electros heritage!
