Anyone familiar with Connaisseur will know that we have a deep love for the art of the remix. Finding the right artist to reinterpret a specific track — to transform an already outstanding original into something new — is always an exciting challenge. Naturally, we have our own expectations of how it might turn out, but most of the time were completely wrong. Fortunately, that usually means we end up loving the result even more than our own creation. In April 2017, we released Of Norways sophomore album The Loneliest Man in Space — a diverse and masterful piece of work. Straight afterwards, weve started to search for remixers we personally admire, confident they could take the tracks in directions beyond our imagination. It was a bit of a journey, but after the project was complete, were thrilled to have brought together such an exceptional group of artists on one release. Each remixer has delivered a truly remarkable interpretation, so we decided to give every one of them the space they deserve. The remixes will be released individually — one per week over the course of two months. A curated selection will also appear on a 12 vinyl edition, with one additional remix available exclusively for radio and streaming.
