We start the 2024 with some playful, dirty and quirky vibes delivered by the Berlin-based Joal. The Moodmusic regular joins the Urge To Dance family with his Hold It EP - two original tracks and two terrific remixes by his friends Messrs Jepe & Maltitz. The leading track, Hold It is a dance floor oriented delivery, with naughty dark disco elements, pumping kicks, solid acid touches and a mesmerising vocal. Wrong Song offers more of Joal's naughty approach, continuing the dark disco and indie dance elements coupled with an irresistible vocal as it progresses through energetic acid house vibes. On remix duties, two good friends of Joal, and Berlin household names, join the party turning this EP into a real Berlin affair. Jepe returns to Urge To Dance with his unorthodox and exuberant remix of Hold It. Perfectly blending pumping house kicks, indie dance vibes with subtle Italo flavours and gently intertwined disco elements, Hold It (Jepe Remix) is a perfect example of Jepe's craftsmanship. Last, but not least, comes the Cosmic Disco Remix of Wrong Song by Maltitz. Deliriously danceable, it is a catchy combination of neo pop, wave, indie dance, with a pinch of Italo taste and explosively playful acid elements. A track that certainly requires a pair of new dancing shoes, it perfectly completes this EP for a wonderful start of 2024.
