    Exosphere

    Clint

    Beatport Top Releases

Clint's first release of 2024 lands in the form of 4 mixes of title track Exosphere. The EP has echoes of an unearthed gem from the golden age of trance and progressive house music, primed, polished and ready for hot summer dance floors. The Main mix is a peak time, big-room slice of starry-eyed euphoria reminiscent of Van Dyke or Digweed in their pre-y2k era hey-days. The track is 9 minute meditation on euphoria: balearic motifs, dreamy pads and a plethora of blissful 90s elements lend the track a transcendent feel, think eyes closed, 2 doves deep. Long days and short nights are always just a short trip away. The Dance mix takes a more stripped back approach- the drums punch that little bit harder and the organs are in for the club-heads. Bright and glossy stabs dance around the groove while vocal chants tease in and out of the arrangement, and of course, the bass keeps pumping. The end result is a composite slice of club-ready modern prog music. The other mixes of the track forgo the dancefloor in favor of the more kaleidoscopic terrain of the chill out tent, reprising the exosphere theme for early morning ears. It's giving sandals, squishy brown and sun kissed hedonism. Golden teachers, patchouli oil and salty kisses. The Oceania version is a blissful slice of bright, punctual IDM with a 'global pop' feel evocative of Deep Forest or the more downtempo outings of Opus III, with the ambient mix chiming in on a similar celestial plain-lush, new age grooves for the afters at the beach or amongst the meadows, rounding out a fully realized vision of trance influenced euphoria from Clint.
