We've been fans of Mason Talbot for a while, and when we found out he was born in Wales, well, it all just made sense. The Leeds resident and Redify capo delivers a blurry journey through a dark, smoky dance floor in the form of Digital Spliff. A deep, minimal roll of elastic basslines and glitched-out bleeps paint the picture of a perfect trip. So Alive is a stroke of genius from this rising star as he laces this minimal groover with his own vocals. Is it House, Garage, Minimal, or a mix of all three? You be the judge. All we know is it absolutely bangs! To put a bow on this killer EP we linked up with our good friends over at Super Serious Coaching and ran a Digital Spliff remix competition. After much deliberation and countless road tests, we decided that FOSK and AdameL's takes on this one both HAD TO be released. Shouts to Timmy P and all the crew who took part, we'll defo be back to do it again soon with the sheer talent over there. We live by a stripped-back ethos here at Rarebit and firmly believe less is more. Talbot, FOSK, and AdameL more than nailed the brief here. Get it on, turn it up, and thank us later.

It was only right that when Cardiff champions Local & Lucas joined forces with The Godfather of Grime it landed on Rarebit Records. 8 for 8 pairs Wiley and Local in a raw, high-impact exchange that delivers exactly what the title promises: eight bars each, no filler. Built on heavy, forward-driving 2-step garage production from Lucas Alexander, the track captures unmatched energy and sharp lyricism, bridging grime heritage with contemporary UK underground club culture. It built strong underground momentum ahead of its 2026 release, with early versions circulating in DJ sets and receiving support from Luke Dean, Max Dean, Enzo Siragusa, Skream, Interplanetary Criminal, Dr Banana, Saoirse, Fish56Octagon, Brawther, Chloe Robinson, Burnski, Kepler, Oldboy, Cosworth, and Admnti. We are so proud to share this one, from Wales to the world! Ay selectors.. Let's do this!
