Corren Cavini returns with 'Magic', a new collaboration with downundr, alongside a club-focused remix from Canadian producer AVIRA. Following 'Hopes and Fears', 'Lion's Head' and 'Darkness Into Day', the release continues a defining year for Corren, bringing the more emotive and restrained side of his sound to the foreground. Led by downundr's expressive vocal, the original allows the songwriting to take centre stage while retaining the melodic progression and movement at the heart of Corren's productions. 'Magic' also marks the first release under the downundr name, a new artist project from award-winning New Zealand songwriter and vocalist Jeremy Redmore. Across a career spanning five albums, four New Zealand Music Awards, platinum sales and more than 30 million online streams, Redmore has established a strong songwriting voice across rock, pop and, more recently, electronic music. AVIRA reshapes 'Magic' for the dancefloor, increasing its pace and intensity without losing the emotional core of the original. The Canadian producer's catalogue includes collaborations with Armin van Buuren, Chicane, Yotto and Joris Voorn, AVIRA brings his signature trance-infused sound to Purified Records with a driving, floor-filling rework. 2026 has marked a major step forward for Corren Cavini, with performances across the US, Europe and Africa further establishing his presence on the global stage. He also launched his own event series, Common_Ground, at Amsterdam's Het Sieraad – a venue particularly close to his heart – where he delivered an immersive six-hour set. The release artwork features a cascading waterfall photographed by Stephen Walker, mirroring the sense of movement and emotional release running through both versions of 'Magic'.
