Argentine duo Abity have been a longstanding presence in the progressive house scene, building an impressive catalog across labels such as Movement Recordings, Movement Limited, Freegrant Music, Mango Alley and Clubsonica Records. Joining them on the project is Rosario based producer Luca Abayan, known for his hypnotic progressive house sound and releases on respected imprints including The Soundgarden, WARPP and Transensations Records. The release begins with Illusion, a driving progressive house production built around deep grooves, atmospheric textures and melodic flourishes. Scottish born, Zurich based producer Allan McLoud provides the first reinterpretation. With a career spanning more than three decades and releases on labels such as Joof Aura, Mango Alley, The Soundgarden and Movement Recordings, Allan reshapes the original into a deeper and more melodic journey while maintaining its hypnotic essence. The second original track, Solar Veins, explores a darker and more emotive progressive direction, combining rolling basslines with evolving synth work and rich atmospheres. Closing the release is a remix from Daniel Testas, a respected progressive house artist whose refined productions and emotive sound design have earned him recognition across the underground electronic scene. His interpretation adds fresh energy and dynamic rhythmic movement while preserving the spirit of the original. Hailing from Austria, Marcel Fenkart and Marco Glabonjat make up the Der Effekt production team and have amassed an impressive discography since first emerging in 2008. Also finding a home on Movement Recordings, the duo featured prominently on the second edition of the labels popular Prognoesis, Vol. 02 collection, a release which would lead to their first artist EP Inception, which landed in 2022. 2023 saw the duo continue their creative partnership with Movement, recording their first remix for the label alongside Swiss artist Avior. Now, fresh off their latest Sunexplosion vehicle Aria | Spectrum, Der Effekt makes a welcome return to Movement for their second artist EP Muted. Beginning with the dark, engaging sounds of the title selection, the duo aims squarely for the dancefloor. A smooth DJ friendly intro sets the pace for sweeping atmospherics, delicate arps and a bevy of cosmic creativities to steal the air. A foundation of tough kick drums and driving basslines carve out an energetic path into the break, bringing with them a sense of hopeful anticipation. Clocking in at well over a minute in length, the interlude reveals a thought-provoking vocal, while the trance-inducing arp percolates with each successive pass, onwards to a tasteful build and thunderous finale.
