Brandski, our favorite French Italo boy is back ! The Prophecy is definitively a nice journey between High Energy and Italo. Carried by a pulsating, catchy bassline and luminous, melodic synths, the title is a true homage to the energetic tempo and relentless groove of clubbing track from the 80s ! U.S.A. is a danceable music merging the melodic aesthetic of Italodisco and the effervescent energy of Dance. At the end of an amazing year, it is time to deliver our annual compilation: Reasons 03. 4 weeks - 4 parts / 16 tracks - 16 reasons to dance. Part I of Reasons 03 consists of 4 gems by SouveQ, 88Dubs, Sebastian Duarte & Henson. The Hungarian magician SouveQ returns to Urge To Dance with another contribution to the Reasons series, this time with his This is So 2018. Indeed, this track was produced in 2018, but when a piece of music is timeless and with such high voltage, we could not resist it and had to share it with you! Hungarian fellow 88Dubs brings in his Attention Deficit to the pack. A dark, somehow melancholic delivery that offers dreamy bassline and spacey vocals, the track slowly builds the tension for an emotional break and drop. Sebastian Duarte with Survivors is the third track of the EP where well-crafted kicks intertwine with cutting drums, percussions and hypnotizing synths resulting in a captivating and edgy reason to dance. Out Of The Dark
Sisko Electrofanatiks record label Gain Records welcomes back Georgia Lee who drops an electrifying peak time techno single, which also includes remixes by Alex Nocera, Produkkt and D Lewis. Georgia Lee is an Italian artist based in Rome, and this peak time release showcases the techno side of her eclectic sound, as it layers pulsating synths with pounding percussion. This is her second time featuring on Gain Records, after her first release Distorted Love. Georgia Lee is also a skilled DJ who was resident at the Circolo Degli Artisti nightclub in Rome, Amigdala taking place at Goa Club, Rialto, Ex Dogana and Animal Social Club and regular guest at La Roboterie in different cities across Italy. She has shared the decks with techno legends ranging from Ellen Allien to Regis. Talking about her release, Georgia Lee said: Out of The Dark, is a track dedicated to all those who are still with us, fighting every day the pain of their human and spiritual losses. It is an introspective work based on the fusion of cosmic and dark techno sounds that slowly evolves until it reaches its inevitable sonic and empathetic resolution. It aims to be a metaphysical bridge to transform suffering into medicine, hope, and energy after the unfillable void of loneliness. The three remixes made by Alex Nocera, Produkkt and D Lewis, represent a progression to reach the light. All of the remix artists on this release are from Italy. First up, Alex Nocera is known for his tantalising techno tracks on record labels ranging from Riot Recordings to Spartaques IAMT Red. Produkkt is an eclectic artist who drops the tempo to deliver an indie dance remix. D Lewis is a veteran artist whose career spans back to the 90s. He was one half of D.Lewis & Emix, and has featured on over 50 vinyl releases, including labels such as Acid 80 and Antibemusic. D Lewis has previously featured techno tracks on Gain, and his electro-tinged remix has an italo disco vibe. Out of the Dark is the original track on the release, its booming kick drum and throbbing bassline lay a foundation for crunching hi-hats and tension building pads. Its spiralling synths and deep atmosphere add to the tidal wave of momentum created by this smouldering slice of techno. Alex Noceras Out of the Dark remix lifts the tempo and toughens the percussion, while also adding acid stabs, and a new melody synth to the breakdown. Produkkts remix of Out of the Dark lowers the tempo, it also adds a new electro bassline, and dystopian pads that give it a gritty yet chic sound. D Lewis closes out the release with his low-slung remix of Out of the Dark, which adds a new funk bassline, and off-beat snare hits. The Otherwise label is pleased to announce its latest release, signed by Brazilian DJ and producer Cour T. Recognized for his residency at the renowned Dirtybird Records and for his performances in clubs such as Warung Beach Club, the artist is currently establishing himself as one of the highlights in the underground scene of Brazilian electronic music. Titled MIKRO, the EP features two original tracks - MIKRO and Esseaga - that explore the influences of Minimal, Deep Tech, and Indie Dance. The title track, MIKRO, makes an analogy to the concept of Minimal embedded in Indie Dance, reflecting a full-bodied sound and featuring meticulously produced elements to create a sophisticated and engaging atmosphere. Niv Ast is an artist who very much operates out of the box. His work on Correspondant, Optimo, Disco Halal, Watergate Records and Get Physical - as well as his work via his own label Band Apart - is bold, line-blurring club gear making him a perfect candidate for an Exploited Club release. Niv Ast is inspired by the psychedelic waves of acid, the attitude of the punk-rock and the light headed groove of disco. His music is regularly played by DJ Tennis, Jennifer Cardini, Polo & Pan among others. He has performed alongside Tale Of Us, Seth Troxler, Amelie Lens, Blond:ish and many more. Tainted In The Sun kicks things off with a Manchester chorus beaming out over stroppy power chords and a throbbing kick. Progress marches on, gathering colour as it blooms into a synth-driven haze adorned with brass flashes, spiralling sequences and a straight-talking snare. The vibe is heady, infectious and a touch subversive - a slice of euphoric recall for anyone who barely remembers the 90s. Dont Belong follows up with an Indie-Italo hybrid. Tough, muscular drums anchor the groove while a flexible synth line gently pulls things astray. Clever sequencing has the track swelling in layers as a brooding intensity builds up towards a bridge of darting strobes. The refrain drives back in, hooking the listener back in and capping off a boisterous pastiche; one that strums a certain nostalgic chord whilst also presenting something fresh and novel.
