Capturing the energy of the UFO stages which indulge Dekmantel Festivals darker, experimental tastes, Igarashi turns out four shapely serotonin injections in his inimitable style. Theres an immediacy to the Kaleidoscopic 12 which rushes into earshot the moment the EP fires up with the insistent acid throb of the title track. The eternal undulation of a 303 provides the bedrock for Igarashis fluttering brushstrokes, while a tough yet supple beat charges underneath. Cascading arps are a core element of the richly melodic sound on this release, reaching measured peaks of ecstasy on The Sailage without ever taking a cheap shortcut. Understated, emotionally-charged eloquence spills out of every sequence. Theres a softer, blurry-eyed sentiment to the synth work on Steaming, while Interweave tempers classic acid techno tropes with gaseous atmospherics. There are plenty of crisp edges in his tracks for the dancers to latch onto, but Igarashi specialises in a fluid motion that encourages less thinking and more feelinga lysergic techno flow to truly melt into.

After releasing five sell out various artists EPs featuring 25 artists, positivesource is excited to present a new chapter for the label with a diverse and anthemic EP from Berlin based producer Regent. No stranger to the label, Regent contributed to src005 last year with his smooth techno roller Off Agenda alongside music from Neri J, Alpha Tracks, Vil & Cravo. His tracks have featured heavily in DJ sets by label founders Blue Hour and Philippa Pacho over the years, naturally the idea to present the first artist EP on positivesource with Regent comes as no surprise. The record starts on a hypnotic tip with Occult, grooving along with an infectious bass-line swung beats and blissed out atmospherics before stepping up the energy levels on Khmera, a relentless chord driven percussive anthem with nostalgic vocals rising to new heights. On the flip the title track Aphid Riot is bold and vibrant leaning heavily into UK flavours using sliced up vocals, breakbeats and a classic Reece bass-line. Completing the record is a broken version of Aphid Riot highlighting an ethereal tonal melody with a deeper and more introspective take on the original. Its a new sound exploration from the producer, demonstrating his versatility and perhaps a rare moment in his discography.

For the 4th edition of Involve's 'Nightclub Pros' series, Regal once again invites a mix of established and upcoming artists to showcase the bandwidth of the Madrid based label's sound. On the front side, Roll Dann, who made his Involve debut oin the very first Nightclub Pros edition, opens the VA with 'Culebra', a heavy-hitting techno masterpiece with a rolling bassline, tinges of industrial sounds and a driving energetic drum work. Following up, SlugoS delivers the fast-paced, distorted sounding warehouse anthem 'Seconds to Midnight', characterizes by a rumbling kick, a ferocious melody and an ambience reminiscent of the early 2000's Schranz movement. On the back side, Kristian Heikkila teams up with Johan Afterglow, keeping up the energy with their track 'Lies', making the listeners dive into an underground world where distorted and echoing screams penetrate their brains. Up-and-coming producer SWRD, part of the duo ITNA, closes the record with a mystic ride staged by a combination of synths and an ominous piano melody in his track 'Alpha', an epic end to the 4th edition of the NIghtclub Pros series.
