We live in a world spinning on distraction, and the record insists on orientation: body to rhythm, oneself to crowd, truth to motion and movement. Each track collapses genre borders (trance, hardgroove, psy-prog, breaks, electro...) into a single and rythmic organism that refuses to escape; it confronts. Voices, fragments, and samples appear like ghosts of street protests, laughter, and urgency and are reminders of the social frequencies reverberating under every dance floor. Solarstones The Last Defeat pt. 1 first appeared on his 2008 album Rain Stars Eternal, a cinematic piece and fan favourite. This fresh set of remixes pushes the track into trance territory. First up are two contrasting versions from New Yorks Obie Fernandez, a regular face on Pure Trance. Obie describes himself as Musician. Consultant. Dad. Writer. Photographer. Sensitive Radical. Not necessarily in that order, but its the first occupation focusing on, here! Obies 145bpm Light Side and Dark Side mixes are bang-on the trance zeitgeist of the moment, but with a twist that descends into a filmic DandB section drawing directly from the original version, then dropping into a four-to-the-floor groove. His Dark Side remix is something else entirely, with an acidic bassline, club-ready FX and a beautiful, lush breakdown. Saharans (Dave Begic and Suanda) return to the label with their 138bpm power-trance remix, featuring hyper-euphoric synth work and a whopping drop.

EMJIE & Emma B strike with the effervescent peak-time cut Ace of Spades, while AUTOFLOWER keeps the euphoria high with a powerful take on Bizzarro Universes Love Dream. The Mekanism drops Do The Disco, featuring percussion from Grammy-winner Jorge Bezerra and a standout sax replay by Do It A The Disco from Garys Gang. Claus Casper ups the heat on Glory Breaks, and Herr Krank injects Trance-meets-Acid voltage into Tropic Disorder by Bizzarro Universe. Sydneys Jerk Boy closes the package alongside Irfane (Breakbot) with the smooth, modern-disco gem Something Isnt Right.
