With Coalescence, The Third Room brings together artists from distinct yet interconnected techno lineages, united by a shared understanding of the music as both physical and introspective. Rather than staging contrasts, the EP focuses on convergence, where propulsion, atmosphere and restraint fold into a coherent whole. Rene Wise & Ignez open the release with Anjos, pairing Wises tactile, percussive pressure with Ignezs expansive, oceanic pads. The result sits at the intersection of functional drive and elevated, almost devotional space, reflecting a new generations approach to techno as both tool and inner landscape. Norbaks remix draws the track further inward, deepening its hypnotic pull and extending its energy into a more meditative, slow-burning form. On the B-side, Claudio PRC & Luigi Tozzi present Onirica, a deeply restrained and immersive composition rooted in atmosphere, spatial detail and subtle psychedelia. Unfolding with patience, it rewards attentive listening and long-form dancefloor contexts. Markus Suckut closes the EP by reducing Onirica to its bare essentials, applying his signature economy and precision to heighten tension and focus. Coalescence reflects The Third Rooms vision of techno as a shared terrain, where different voices and generations meet, align and quietly reinforce one another.
Kai Galactics latest EP, Obsessed, released on Oslated, features five original tracks defined by their distinct and individual character, along with two additional remixes by CTAFAD and Rainsoft. With deep immersion, gradually intensifying progressions, and melodic soundscapes, the EP weaves together diverse elements that draw the listener into a single, cohesive story. Obsessed carries the wish that listeners will be completely captivated and lose themselves in the music. It is our hope that this feeling resonates deeply within your heart. Asymmetric head Inigo Kennedy returns to his label to kick off another year with a stunning five track EP Flux Rope. Title track Flux Rope opens the release with a solid 909 four-to-the-floor, heavy toms, fizzing hats and a fluttering synth line that teases throughout. Next up, Maruader, which keeps with the four-to-the-floor feel and lurches in the best of ways with an absolutely killer bleep-style bass and shuffling hats; an ice cold pad cuts though as the track evolves. Third track, The Witching Hour, is classic Asymmetric, rolling bass-heavy percussion set against yearnful pads which tip upwards every so often. Changing tack is fourth track Up End It All, an uplifting and slamming take on drum and bass, heavy constantly changing beats on rotation and classic Kennedy melody binding the track together in elegant style. Last up is Infinity, another slice of Asymmetric class, driving beats and weaving arpeggios. What a start to 2026!
Ben Sims Snapshot 99 has been remixed by ANNE, with three versions of one of 2023s Techno anthems joining an original dub on the release from Hardgrooves vinyl offshoot, Hardgroove Originals. Stemming from the hard discovery of a riff created in 1999, Snapshot 99 was one of 2023s biggest tracks, with its penetrative contemporary groove offsetting the floaty, infectious topline in a rare bit of studio alchemy that joins two centuries. Now, Greek artist and Hardgroove (and sister label, Symbolism) associate ANNEs versions take the track into undulating, percussive, and deep chord-laden territories that could resonate throughout a full night or provide an arsenal of weapons for the creative DJs out there. Sims dub, featured on the original release, hits vinyl for the first time in all of its stripped-back glory.

Melbourne / Naarm strongholdButter Sessionsclock 15 years in the game with a trilogy of 12s, sustaining their uncompromising streak of peak-form electronics. The family-style V/A binds friends, collaborators, former studio neighbours and DJ booth allies, capturing a label that exists as community as much as catalogue. A new chapter in Butter Sessions ongoing Japanese exchange sees Sapporo sound sculptor Kuniyukire-opening a 2015 tour collaboration with label heads Sleep D- a deep, spatial beatdown powered by dub pressure and percussive hypnosis. Shadow-lurking prodigy Mosam Howiesondrops in with his trademark scatterbrain techno, while Hasvat Informantlocks into joint-consciousness big-room radioactivity. Opening the B-side, Fader Capfuses Balearic psy-ence with Mike Dunn-esque utilitarian jack, hovering somewhere between 80s memory and future vision. Tokyos Mayurashkafollows with Survival Guide, big beat colliding with drug chug, before Albrecht LaBrooyreunite for a divine chill-out tent slowdown, magnifying sample detail with exacting flow. Were adrift until Sunju Hargunlights the beacon with ???????(Sky Surfer), Thailands emissary of ritualistic minimal trance. Whether taken alone or folded into the three-disc triptych, each instalment stands as a bag-ready constant, charged with Butter Sessions curatorial finesse.
ANNĒ and Sera J close their Symbiosis series on Mutual Rytm with third and most refined EP yet. This final chapter reflects everything the collaboration has stood for across a trio of inventive techno releases on SHDWs imprint. Creative and life partners ANNĒ and Sera J have been two voices growing in parallel, evolving separately but moving with the same pulse. ANNĒ is well established thanks to standout EPs on the likes of Soma and Hardgroove, while Sera J has released on the likes of Life in Patterns and Renegade Methodz, and both have featured on Mutual Rytms Federation Of Rytm series before now. Symbiosis III is the moment where everything comes full circle: the culmination of a journey built on respect, creativity, and the freedom to explore their own paths while lifting each other forward. Sera J kicks off with Ransomware, a commanding and driving techno cut lit up with flashy synths but always moving with urgency. Phosphate keeps the energy levels high with stripped-back drums and bass designed to perfection, while Anthrax has an anxious edge. The synths are wispy but evocative as bass kills and swiping filters bring the drama. ANNĒ then ups the ante with the acid-tinged Dementia, which is loopy and unrelenting before A Taste of a Real Woman gets more seductive with a sultry spoken word and sustained chords that bring the paranoia. Heart Rate is propulsive with Detroit-style synth soul and an aching vocal, before Sera J returns with On the Run - a percussive, trippy and eerie roller. His final Cut Similar Minds has a searching synth surveying a desolate landscape, before ANNĒ then closes the EP with the punchy drum patterns and icy hi hats of Primal Howl Of Ego and a blend of deep drums and evocative synth work on the Analog Heartbeat - which proves potent techno can be beautiful.
Vienna based artist and Bare Hands owner Sedvs makes his Unterwegs debut with a fierce four track EP. Following up from his debut LP Paradise Lost on Bare Hands, Daniel Hartl delivers four meticulously sculpted cuts engineered for peak-hour dance floors and deep-end sound systems in the form of his Teorema EP. This record reaffirms his singular vision: raw, intense, and hypnotically precise. SEVDS once again steps into his rightful space, where craft meets conviction, and techno breathes with intensity and purpose.
Theres nothing quite like digging into new Anna Kost material. Despite toppling all expectations, its a given that one is into a box full of surprises, sharp turns, and cunning sound selection. Across 4 originals, Kost gives us a demonstration of range in bass pressure, from the subdued stepper attitude of Unseen to a garage infused ghost-note masterclass on Gud Dog, a trip-hop tour de force via Subcut and footworky dubstep hybrids on Carryon. Vardae sees us out with a remix of Unseen that adds the techno cherry on top to this release, with a scorching display of lysergic beauty.
