Italian producer Gai Barone, one of the most respected names in contemporary Progressive House, returns to Univack with Macula / Limbic, a two-track EP that reflects his unique visionfree from fleeting trends and deeply rooted in sonic storytelling. Here, Barone demonstrates his maturity and versatility as a producer. Each track stands as its own autonomous universe, with high levels of detail, refined sound design, and a compositional approach that goes beyond function to become timeless art. Macula is a melodic and dreamlike experience, unfolding through harmonic, immersive layers that evoke a luminous, ethereal nostalgia. Limbic, by contrast, reveals a more minimalistic and cerebral architecture: elegant, serious, rhythmically intricate, and full of subtleties that unfold with each listen. Macula / Limbic is a statement of intent from an artist of integrity, who finds in Univack the perfect platform to express his creative vision without compromise. Stone Seed proudly presents Twotrunks, the first single from Doppels forthcoming album Harvest. Twotrunks is uncompromising. A grinding lead takes the foreground, balanced by bass and percussion that feel physical and alive. A high-impact track that demands tribal dancefloor moments. Sinking Kind shows a deeper angle from Doppel. Worldly percussion patterns and entrancing melodic fragments stretch and breathe, threading with his signature sound design on the drift downward. Tom Baker closes the package with a burly progressive rework. Doppels striking melodic stabs remain the centre, while the low-end leans toward that forest festival style and subtle psychedelic colour shapes the edges. As the opening glimpse of Doppels second full length album, Twotrunks signals the scope of the record and whats still to come.

Cass and Baunder drop some serious heat with fresh remixes of Danny Tenaglia x Cass & Slides iconic Fever Rising. Originally crafted by the legendary Danny Tenaglia and released on Cass and Lee Burridges FIRE Recordings back in 2001, Fever Rising stood tall as one of the defining tracks of progressive houses golden era. A dance floor weapon supported by heavyweights like Sasha, John Digweed, and Tenaglia himself, its tough drums and dark sonics perfectly embodied the underground spirit that ruled the clubs of that time. First up, the ever-reliable Baunder injects his trademark silky grooves into this classic, updating the drums without losing that tribal essence. Playful melodics weave around the hypnotic vocal, creating a timeless blend of energy and emotion. Next, Cass Cutbush steps in with two fresh versions. His 4by4 mix channels the raw drive of early-2000s prog, with subtle shifts and an epic main break that pays homage to the scene he helped shape. On the breakbeat version, Cass explores a more emotional side wistful, hopeful, and beautifully melancholic.

A returning artist to the Meanwhile catalogue, EMPHI builds on his growing support and popularity with a brand-new twin-track EP in the form of Walk With Me / Research Myself. Hailing from the Swedish capital, EMPHI has lit up the world of Progressive House in the first half of the 2020s with his tracks filled with vibrant percussion and anthemic melodies. Able to point to a growing number of blue-chip labels that have featured his work, Kasey Taylors Vapour Recordings, Alex ORions Solis Records, as well as the number 1 selling Mango Alley and iconic Balance Music, have all played host to EMPHIs production talent since a 2020 debut on Odd One Out. Meanwhile has also been a key component in seeing the Stockholm resident soar to new heights. A pair of tracks have featured on the Meanwhile Excursions series with The Box on July 2022s Vol. 2 and Azur on Vol. 3 a year later. Now returning for a third appearance and a full solo EP, Walk With Me is propelled forward by a deep and penetrating kick. At the same time, a fizzing percussive top-line of hats and shakers provides the backdrop for a hypnotic bassline groove to anchor a series of sweeping, stereo-panned effects and vocal loop to flow seamlessly across the 7-minute piece. A catchy lead motif then provides melodic interest as it filters its way through proceedings from the mid-point onwards and into a stripped-down break. Building once more, the final movement explodes into a cadenced square wave synth that cuts through the mix with sumptuous pads adding to the soundscape. Partner track, Research Myself immediately comes alive with a delicious head-shaking rhythmic pattern that creates a call and answer sequence with subtle synth placement. A chorus of hi-hats and shaker patterns adds further to the dancefloor arrangement as exquisitely placed slow attack chords and delicious effects create a hypnotising sonic collage. Rising and falling with immaculate ease, the track contains all the hallmarks of the EMPHI production skillset in a seething dancefloor gem. Journeying to new frontiers on a voyage of self-discovery, EMPHI reaches new heights with Walk With Me / Research Myself. Directed by GMJ & Matter Mastered by Cid Inc.
