Kevin McKay revisits That's The Way Love Goes, the timeless Janet Jackson classic written by Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, with a nu-disco reimagining built for modern dancefloors. Inspired by CJ Mackintosh's iconic 1993 club mixes, this version shifts the energy away from piano-led house into a warmer, funk-driven space. Live guitars and Fender Rhodes take the lead, creating movement and lift while preserving the sensual, understated power of the original song. Designed for DJs who want to introduce feel-good disco energy without jumping fully into classic territory, this is a modern reinterpretation rooted in dance music history. Genres: Nu Disco Key Use: Mid-set uplift. Disco crossover moments For fans of: Purple Disco Machine, modern disco cuts, soulful dance floors

Stil vor Talent welcomes gizA djs for their debut on the label with Italian Situation, a two-track EP moving between house and disco-infused grooves. The Italian duo delivers a release shaped by contrast, nostalgia and sharp observation, translating personal reflection into dancefloor-ready storytelling. Opening track Come Back Darling is rooted in a dusty vocal discovery that sparked a deep dive into the emotional core of house music. Built on 90s-inspired grooves, conga-driven percussion, disco-tinged brass stabs and piano riffs, the track radiates soulful warmth and uplifting energy, channeling classic house spirit through a contemporary lens. On the flip side, What Are You Doing in Italy, created together with Gianpietro, takes a more direct and playful turn. Born from an organic studio jam, a funky bassline and soulful sampling form the backbone of a track that blends irony with quiet protest. The recurring vocal question reflects the artists own conflicted feelings about cultural stagnation and change, while ambient recordings from a real Italian restaurant add an authentic, bittersweet texture.
Big Love regular and one of France's finest exports, Art Of Tones is bringing the funk back once again on his latest EP. 'Urdaone'. The title track has that distinctive sound from this man that we know and love with a funky groove and sublime vocals. 'Affair' carries a similar spirit with live musical touches, an extra funky bassline and soulful male vocal.
True Pleasures , Iori Wakasa , Keita Sano , Ben Gomori , Pegasvs
Monologues Records concludes its celebration of a decade on the dancefloor with a punchy selection of raw, underground tracks that channel the infallible sound of acid through varying refractions. Paranoid London's Quinn Whalley and Posthuman's Joshua Doherty team up as True Pleasures for the throbbing crunch of 'Pump', Japanese wizards Iori Wakasa and Keita Sano go oddball disco on 'Teachers', label boss Ben Gomori jacks the groove on the hip house flavoured 'Gomorish' and Burnin Music chief Pegasvs nails it on the 303 electro of 'Ridley Road Market Preacher'. credits

Big Love label boss Seamus Haji has released under many monikers over the years and this particular release was originally under his Ijah alias (Haji backwards). It features the truly inimitable vocals of the now late, great D'Empress (real name Diane Charlemagne). As some of you may know she worked heavily with Goldie ('Timeless' album) and toured extensively with Moby. The soul heads will know her from UK 80's act 52 Street. Occasionally, she's did the odd house feature as D'Empress for the likes of Satoshi Tomie, Mutiny and ATFC. Chicago's go-to producer of the moment Emmaculate has been drafted in to breathe new life into this heartfelt song for the Soul Love imprint after his extensive work of late working with the likes of Ten City on their latest album 'Next Generation'. He stays true to the original arrangement whilst adding his own musical soundbed in a sublimely soulful way. Live bass, guitar and keys are embellished with rousing strings and impressive synth solos. This one is sure to be a hit with true soulful house heads.
The first new single from Miami's Mia dropping as another collaboration with Chicago's Star Creature label. This one follows here hot 'Hot 2 Sider' 7' last year as she remains Queen of the Bedroom Boogie meets Dancefloor Romance vibe. The B-Side taps Toronto's Aladean Kheroufi for a midtempo duet oozing with disco boogie bounce good vibes and a high probability of catchy earworm invasions. The third track gives us that Hard but Tender West Coast fiendish funk feel - holy grail sensuality with a tough-touch synth bass and a smacking clap elevating this late night lowrider souldie to a 2-step boogie bomb. aAll 3 sides produced by Toronto's Gil Masuda.
The Italian DJ & producer Gledd recently made his debut on Big Love with 'Move It' which received lots of support from key players across the house music world due to its infectious nature and unique sound. He's back with this hot follow-up 'Live It!' which carries the same spirit and distinct sound fusing disco elements, live brass, soulful vocals and electronic touches over a peak-time house groove.
After a series of successful outings alongside sidekicks Ofofo and Zongamin, studio wizard MYTRON turns in his debut solo full-length for Multi Culti World Records. With contributions on Invisible Inc, Calypso, Bongo Joe, Kalahari Oyster Cult, LYO, Codek Records and Earthly Measures, Mytron has carved out a name for himself in a carefully-curated left-field quadrant of the indie-dance galaxy. Tuning his oscillators to myriad sounds - from dub and disco to krautrock - the London-based producer perhaps most notably channels the pristine compositional style of Kraftwerk. While most apparent in the use of vocoder, there's a consistent efficiency of arrangement that recalls the man-machine in effervescent, idealistic fashion. Mytron manages to keep it simple, funky and musical - whimsical tunes that bop along with analog grit, wilderness, and wonk. There's a warmth and wit that shine through every synth line, an understated confidence that speaks of years spent tangled in wires and waveforms, with an inclusive sonic eclecticism that flattens hierarchies between genres, geographies, and generations. Each influence is invited to the table, treated not as pastiche but invited to dine and dance in a space where kosmische dub disco and Afro rhythms can coexist without borders. The sleeve design echoes this philosophy: video-feedback patterns hinting at our modern screens, both portals and filters - coloured, distorted intermediaries through which we perceive the world. In the trippiest sense, the record is both reflection and refraction - a sonic mirror held up to an interconnected, glitchy reality. Tailored equally for DJ use and home-listening head trip, the album is meticulous, mischievous and merry. Mytron's debut LP for Multi Culti World Records drops February 2026, available on vinyl (via Prime Direct UK) and digital worldwide.
