Active since the late 80s, Klein has tirelessly shaped his distinct vision of Electro, both as a solo artist and through storied collaborations with icons like Dynamix II, Keith Tenniswood (Radioactiveman), and Si Brown (Dexorcist). As a DJ, remixer, live act, and the driving force behind the seminal Battle Trax label, his influence is woven into the fabric of the genre. With essential releases on labels including DMX Krews Breakin Records, Andrea Parkers Touchin Bass, and Billy Nastys Elektrix, the Bass Junkie sound seamlessly bridges the old-school beats of Electros origins with a potent, borderline-industrial edge. Now, as Mental Note, Klein continues his exploration of electronic psychedelia. The new EP, Batteries Not Included (Brain Sold Separately), is a four-track expedition through the Electro cosmos: Brainwash immerses the listener in swirling, hypnotic synths. They're Not Blue, Theyre Purple delivers a masterclass in crunchy, textured drums. Primordial Soup showcases frantic, intricate programming. Bønehead Teases Another Alter Ego With His New Album 'Sushi Pizza Baker' Is It Gonna Be A New Record Label? A Live Show? A Visual Experiment? Back in Autumn 2023, when the New Delhi–based, multifaceted, and genre-fluid artist - Bønehead, dropped his debut LP titled 'Cyanidrumachine,' it was conceptually different from his usual 4-track EP output, and the title was surprisingly missing his signature 'ø.' Leaving listeners in a fix, only at the end of 2025 did we realize that CDM is part of a much bigger project. An alter ego with a different way of looking at things, a different approach to making music. CDM is raw and unfiltered, taking improvised ideas from his live set and arranging them on the DAW with minimal tinkering so as to keep the authenticity of the live set experience alive. The CDM live set is also set to debut soon for the Indian dance floors. Fast forward to today, Bønehead delivers another 10-track compilation of his own work titled 'Sushi Pizza Baker,' and we are quite sure we're going to get something new real soon. The real question is what? We've got a new live set, and we've got a visual moniker. Are we looking at a new record label? CYRK Relaunches Time Zero with a High-Voltage Return to Electro Berlin-based duo CYRK proudly announce the relaunch of their Time Zero imprint, marking the occasion with a striking new release that dives head-first back into their electro roots. The EP showcases three tracks of pure electronic funk, delivered with the razor-sharp production and futuristic flair that has come to define the project. Adding a further layer of intrigue, the record includes a remix from the enigmatic producer Client_03, whose identity remains one of electronic musics most compelling mysteries. Their reinterpretation pushes the release into even deeper machine-funk territory, rounding out a package that reaffirms CYRKs command of the genre. Electronic music producer Venture Silk unveils "Venturing into the Unknown," an 8-track EP about self-discovery and personal transformation. The release blends Detroit electro, breakbeat, UK garage, and jungle influences into a cohesive sonic journey. "My music is about myself what bothers and interests me. It's my way of understanding, exploring, and reflecting the world around me," explains Venture Silk. "With every new track I am born and live a separate life with it. I don't know what my music is about and I don't care to define it. My music is a search for meaning let the listener search for meaning too." Roman Khropko's Rhythm Equations is a compilation of tracks he created at different periods. The result is a diverse and energetic release, where all compositions were planned as working materials for various DJ situations. Roman Khropko: 'In my opinion, the tracks on this release, and music tracks in general, are certain mathematical equations. And when I manage to write a track, it means that I have solved some problem. That after serious work and analysis, I've got all the variables right and have received the desired and concise result. I believe that music and mathematics have a lot in common. After all, in both, we solve different problems within individual systems. I've always wanted to launch a series of self-releases, where each track is a tool for solving these problems. And at the same time is a separate compositional task that I set for myself. That's why they have such a heterogeneous structure. Each composition needed some new solution, which I found first producing and then observing the dance floor'.
