LEGENDARY UK ELECTRO PIONEER BASS JUNKIE UNLEASHES NEW MENTAL NOTE EP Batteries Not Included (Brain Sold Separately) EP Arrives Via No Static Automatic No Static Automatic is proud to announce the new EP from UK Electro legend Phil Klein under his Mental Note alias. Titled Batteries Not Included (Brain Sold Separately), this release marks the dynamic follow-up to the acclaimed 2020 debut Voices In My Head (Noises In My Pants). Few authentic Electro producers from the UK can wear the badge legend with the same level of justification as Phil Klein, aka Bass Junkie. Active since the late 80s, Klein has tirelessly shaped his distinct vision of Electro, both as a solo artist and through storied collaborations with icons like Dynamix II, Keith Tenniswood (Radioactiveman), and Si Brown (Dexorcist). As a DJ, remixer, live act, and the driving force behind the seminal Battle Trax label, his influence is woven into the fabric of the genre. With essential releases on labels including DMX Krews Breakin Records, Andrea Parkers Touchin Bass, and Billy Nastys Elektrix, the Bass Junkie sound seamlessly bridges the old-school beats of Electros origins with a potent, borderline-industrial edge. As noted by Andy Barton of Bass Agenda: From funky to ferocious, Bass Junkies discography is a must-have for anyone claiming passion for the genre influential, individual, and infectious with every beat. Now, as Mental Note, Klein continues his exploration of electronic psychedelia. The new EP, Batteries Not Included (Brain Sold Separately), is a four-track expedition through the Electro cosmos: Brainwash immerses the listener in swirling, hypnotic synths. They're Not Blue, Theyre Purple delivers a masterclass in crunchy, textured drums. Primordial Soup showcases frantic, intricate programming. Kluster Funk offers a moment of deep, sonic relief and groove. Each track reinforces Mental Notes signature: a journey that is cerebral, raw, and irresistibly rhythmic.
Bønehead Teases Another Alter Ego With His New Album 'Sushi Pizza Baker' Is It Gonna Be A New Record Label? A Live Show? A Visual Experiment? Back in Autumn 2023, when the New Delhi–based, multifaceted, and genre-fluid artist - Bønehead, dropped his debut LP titled 'Cyanidrumachine,' it was conceptually different from his usual 4-track EP output, and the title was surprisingly missing his signature 'ø.' Leaving listeners in a fix, only at the end of 2025 did we realize that CDM is part of a much bigger project. An alter ego with a different way of looking at things, a different approach to making music. CDM is raw and unfiltered, taking improvised ideas from his live set and arranging them on the DAW with minimal tinkering so as to keep the authenticity of the live set experience alive. The CDM live set is also set to debut soon for the Indian dance floors. Fast forward to today, Bønehead delivers another 10-track compilation of his own work titled 'Sushi Pizza Baker,' and we are quite sure we're going to get something new real soon. The real question is what? We've got a new live set, and we've got a visual moniker. Are we looking at a new record label? If so, how is this going to be different from Bøne.FM Pre-orders on Beatport go live on 11th March 2026 Releases on all streaming platforms on 25th March 2026 Artwork & Visuals by HalfDiminishedSeventhChord

DJ Godfather maintains his roll of releases into 2026 with the classic Detroit electro stylings of Sporadic. Following the straight up jit, battle footwork-attack of Decembers Square Up EP and this Februarys Thats Right (313) with its electro, jit and footwork dance-off, Godfather gives us three tracks of classic Detroit electro/techno. Whilst the title track is impeccable, battle-hardened Detroit electro its also accompanied by a more techno friendly 909 Mix for more straight-up 4/4 floors and closes with the discordant electronic space-oddity that is Stranger Than Strange. Another masterclass from the D.

Electronic music producer Venture Silk unveils "Venturing into the Unknown," an 8-track EP about self-discovery and personal transformation. The release blends Detroit electro, breakbeat, UK garage, and jungle influences into a cohesive sonic journey. "My music is about myself what bothers and interests me. It's my way of understanding, exploring, and reflecting the world around me," explains Venture Silk. "With every new track I am born and live a separate life with it. I don't know what my music is about and I don't care to define it. My music is a search for meaning let the listener search for meaning too." Inspired by electro pioneers like Drexciya, E.R.P., and DMX Krew, along with 80's sci-fi aesthetics, the EP takes listeners through different emotional and sonic territories. From the melancholic opener "Dark Sector" through the high-energy "Control Your Mind" to the contemplative closer "Saturn Returns," each track represents a different stage of personal growth.
Roman Khropko's Rhythm Equations is a compilation of tracks he created at different periods. The result is a diverse and energetic release, where all compositions were planned as working materials for various DJ situations. Roman Khropko: 'In my opinion, the tracks on this release, and music tracks in general, are certain mathematical equations. And when I manage to write a track, it means that I have solved some problem. That after serious work and analysis, I've got all the variables right and have received the desired and concise result. I believe that music and mathematics have a lot in common. After all, in both, we solve different problems within individual systems. I've always wanted to launch a series of self-releases, where each track is a tool for solving these problems. And at the same time is a separate compositional task that I set for myself. That's why they have such a heterogeneous structure. Each composition needed some new solution, which I found first producing and then observing the dance floor'.
Art Was Art returns on ZEN DNA with Transactional Sex Protocol, a concept-driven release exploring intimacy as a regulated system. Precise electro rhythms and an ominous, tightly controlled ambience turn human connection into a transaction. The release includes three tracks. The original Transactional Sex features modulated vocals that blend science-fiction sensibilities with human themes. Protocol is an instrumental that follows a strict sonic pattern, where arpeggiated sequences and processed textures create a disciplined, cinematic, cyberpunk-ready atmosphere. An instrumental version of Transactional Sex closes the release with controlled intensity. Intimacy authorized. Engage the protocol.
Control Your Mind is the peak energy centerpiece of Venture Silks forthcoming EP Venturing into the Unknown. Built on a foundation of driving breakbeat rhythms and electro sensibilities, Control Your Mind delivers pure dancefloor power while maintaining the mysterious, atmospheric quality that defines Venture Silks sound. Syncopated percussion, pulsing basslines, and ethereal pads create a dynamic tension between raw energy and cosmic introspection.
