Tom Sunda returns to Yanda Recordings with a stunning followup EP that builds on the momentum of his breakout debut Be With Me, a track that captured global attention and earned heavyweight DJ support from Paul van Dyk and Tiesto. Now, he steps forward with a twotrack journey that expands his sonic identity while pushing deeper into emotive, melodic territory. 'Jade Waters' opens the EP with shimmering atmospheres, crystalline leads, and a rolling groove that feels both meditative and uplifting. It's a track that flows with tidal motion, calm on the surface, powerful underneath. Designed for those latenight moments when the dancefloor becomes a shared dream. 'Sun Moon Lake' follows with a more celestial, widescreen energy. Hypnotic arps, radiant pads, and a soaring main theme create a sense of vastness and wonder, capturing the feeling of standing between day and night, light and shadow. It's Tom Sunda at his most expressive, delivering a track that feels instantly timeless.
As the doomsday clock ticks ever closer to LOST200, we are pleased to welcome SUNDA to LOST LANGUAGE for his full debut, delivering a beautifully poised double A-side in MIDNIGHT / SHINE - two cuts that harness that golden era, when deep, driving, emotionally rich trance music ruled super-club main rooms, and the spectre of whiffy pop was still stood outside, queuing in the rain. SUNDA's first EL-EL outing was on remix duties for QOOB back in 2024, and since then his sound has gone from strength to strength. MIDNIGHT leans into a distinctly classic energy, its melody nodding to the Grace-era Perfecto sound, underpinned by a warm, rolling drive. A dreamy Morrighan / Clannad-esque vocal drifts effortlessly above the groove, giving the track a timeless, late-night lift that feels both nostalgic and fresh. SHINE shifts the mood inward - a soulful, melancholic vocal wrapped around a bittersweet riff that's been quietly doing damage in Ben Lost's sets over recent months. It's an instant burner with a soulful pull, built for those early hours when the back drip hits your throat, and forever friends are made. On remix duties, former Crasher Kid and Passion regular Nick Simmons - aka NAREL - delivers a sleek, pumping progressive rework. Dialling up the groove while letting the vocal breathe, he crafts a version that builds patiently before landing with real intent - a classy, floor-focused reinterpretation from a producer on the up.
Borderline has already tried to push fresh, upcoming talent. It is an important part of keeping a scene going, to give a chance to those producers who dont just follow the rest like sheep, who push their sound and create music that is a little outside the norm. The Future Heroes EP is a showcase of new artists and those who push. Its a blend of familiar sounds and high quality with the constant that its new(er) artists. From Sundas fantastic Emotional Frequency, through the fast yet somehow chilled and blissful Sweet Dreams back to the newest of Borderline additions - Michael Hutechson and his excellent set of tracks Fahrenheit and In Hindsight, the Future Heroes EP brings together that which is needed.
