If Daddy Squad and Snax their last single, Double Love Attack, was an out and proud celebration of the joy of hooking up with hot people in hot clubs, then it seems only right to invite a few friends to get in on the action too. With that in mind Daddy Squad's Andrew Armstrong tapped his little black book and invited Man Power and Electrosexual to sprinkle some of their own magic over the track, whilst also going back for seconds himself. As a DJ, producer, venue and label owner Man Power has been delivering the goods for well over a decade now and puts that experience to good use here. A masterclass in delayed gratification, Man Power extends Double Love Attack to over 8 minutes. Rather than hit us with the instant rush of the original's euphoric piano house this remix takes its time to get us in the mood, teasing us with a throbbing bass line and disco stabs until our eyes are rolling back in our heads, a crystalline synth arpeggio kicks in, the beat drops out and for one glorious moment we're left suspended, weightless, as the track defies gravity. French born, Berlin based Electrosexual meanwhile keeps more of the original's vibe intact, stripping Double Love Attack down to its bass line and building it back up from there. Taking inspiration from classic 90s NY house dubs by the likes of Louis Vega & Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez, it's the drums that do the hard work here, laying down the kind of rhythm that you just can't say no to whilst giving the piano and Snax's vocals space to breathe and create something ecstatic and playful. Finally we close off particular ménage à trois with some Daddy on Daddy business. Reworking his own track, Armstrong brings those pianos right to the fore to create a truly joyous, six and a half minutes, hands in the air celebration of house music and the ephemeral exuberance of dancing the night away in dark sweat boxes.
