Fresh from dropping his massive 21-track The Future That Created My Past' album on DJ Bones further imprint, Mark Williams returns to Hardgroove with The Spirit of Hardgroove EP on February 27th. Mark Williams is one of the UKs Techno stalwarts. A hugely prolific artist in the 1990s and early 2000s, Williams was one of a handful of artists who fit the Ben Sims-coined Hardgroove mold. Following a brief hiatus, he has returned to the Techno scene with vigour, dropping a run of releases that have reignited the interest in the veteran producer and introduced his sound to a new generation. The Spirit of Hardgroove EP finds Mark Williams drawing on a myriad of vibes across four tracks. Whether its the rave-y vocal snips and stabs of opener The Secret, the intense beatdown of Love, the broken idiosyncratic funk and soul of In The Groove' feat Siobhan Waters, or the utterly unique melodies of the title track, this is Williams in impeccable form.
