Chicago-born and Greece-based, Savvas Karabinos has been involved in electronic music since the early 1990s, building a catalogue of over two hundred production credits across Anjunadeep, Hoomidaas, Akbal Music, Songuara, Inner Symphony and many more. 'All Or Nothing' is his debut on Sounds Of Sirin, a three-track deep house EP shaped by the nostalgic feeling of the genre's earlier days. The title track came first, carrying warmth, groove and what Savvas describes as a pure bliss feeling reminiscent of where deep house began. 'Now or Never' and 'Come Around' followed almost simultaneously, keeping that same groove while adding more organic and tech elements to round out the release.

Making his Meanwhile Horizons bow, Chicago-born, Greece-based artist Savvas arrives with a three-track collection in "Wanderlust / Anamnesis / Amalgamation". A grounding in electronic music stretching back to the early 1990s, Savvas Karabinos first took up DJ duties across his adopted Greek homeland from an early age. That dancefloor apprenticeship long preceded his emergence as a producer which began at the turn of the millennium with collaborative work alongside Yosebu under the Acropod name. Savvas turned to solo production in earnest from the early 2010s, and well over 200 releases have since carried his name, a catalogue that has found a home across a striking spread of high-profile underground imprints that include Anjunadeep, Sag & Tre, Stripped Recordings, UV and Proton Music among them. Indeed, the latter has become a particularly fertile home with a raft of original and remix production material, while DJ appearances in his Greek home have seen him as comfortable behind the decks as he is in the studio. Opener, "Wanderlust", is a silky-smooth offering that ripples across its 8-minute timeframe with ease as a hypnotic arpeggio is entwined with a sumptuous set of textured pads that hold court over a thumping beat and driving percussive intent. Pausing for a rippling breakdown, the track quickly picks up pace again in the second half as new melodic phrasing and production knowhow showcases Savvas' talent. The shaker-fuelled and woodblock percussion of "Anamnesis" is an elegant foundation for a rich suite of melodies to be heard. Haunting vocal pads and ethereal melodies cascade easily in the early phases while Middle Eastern touches create an Organic House vibe that fits easily into the Savvas sound. A rippling arpeggiated sequence makes an appearance at the mid-point before blossoming once more into the rhythmic gravitas central to earlier movements. The result is an innovative and emotive track. The final offering sees "Amalgamation" propelled by a deep kick and percussive themes of partner tracks. Breathy gated pads add an evocative feel as the melodies bristle and flourish in a rich and inviting soundscape. Rising and falling with meandering melodic ease, the track is an imaginative combination of production techniques from the Savvas studio. A three-decade journey through the dance underground finds a fitting new chapter, as Savvas now marks his Meanwhile Horizons debut with "Wanderlust / Anamnesis / Amalgamation".
